It's been well over 12 hours since I last felt movement, 8 of those were me asleep.

Feeling like absolute shite, out of breath, light headed.....pounding head.....feeling sick.

27 weeks pregnant today

I think my prayers may have been answered, fingers and toes crossed!

I got a call shortly after from my mother to tell me she had found me somewhere to rent long term for the price I need and the amount of beds.

The landlord will accept assistance from the council &! The place is completely fully furnished and so very close to my mums house!

My ex wouldn't ever expect to find me there and I'd be out of the city I so desperately hate.

I will find out for definite next Thursday and can move in, in march!

Fingers crossed for you OP

Quarksoundslikequack · 24/01/2017 15:03

Thank you!

I really hope this works out for me, I just want to find somewhere to settle which is close to family, isn't run down & somewhere safe for my baby.

My dad is more than aware of the worst case scenario & for some odd reason, he's trying to push me to go with that!

When I told him the good news of possibly renting a different flat from the one I've spoken about, he started chucking negatives at me.

Honestly, I've no idea why he just isn't fussed!

That's great news. And even if it means 6 weeks in the B&B first, you know it'll only be temporary. Sounds like your mum is more in board now and I hope she's a bit more helpful niece than leaving you alone in hospital.

Maudlinmaud · 24/01/2017 17:44

Great Quark! Great. Stay positive

Maudlinmaud · 24/01/2017 17:45

Great news. Sounding positive.

girlelephant · 24/01/2017 22:01

Great re last update & hope you get the place your Mum found

Quarksoundslikequack · 24/01/2017 22:44

Thank you.

I'm really hoping I do too, it's perfect & is everything I need.

It's also right next to all the shops I'd need!

I find out for definite next Thursday, absolutely itching to know if it's all good to go.

The council are on standby waiting to find out so they can sort the money for me.

Just a waiting game now!

On the plus side, baby wynter is due in 11 weeks on Friday! & he's moving loads.

OP posts:
Maudlinmaud · 24/01/2017 23:03

Awwww are you calling him Wynter?
So nice.

Quarksoundslikequack · 24/01/2017 23:38

I'm torn between names!

I absolutely love Joshua & also love the name Wynter.

I'm stuck, I don't want to hinder his chances at a successful career because of his name.

Do I go with Joshua Wynter?? That way, he has a normal name but I still get to use Wynter as his middle name??

Be honest, if you think I should scrap Wynter altogether, do say so!

OP posts:
SilenceOfThePrams · 25/01/2017 09:38

Joshua Wynter is an absolutely beautiful name.

Soubriquet · 25/01/2017 10:00

It's lovely

I usually think Winter/Wynter is more of a girls name but as a middle name with Joshua in front it's not that bad

Surreyblah · 25/01/2017 10:00

Wynter is awful ImO!

Lilacpink40 · 25/01/2017 10:10

Joshua Wynter is a lovely name.

Quarksoundslikequack · 25/01/2017 11:10

Luckily I've still got 11 weeks to decide.

Midwife app went well, don't have any issues.

Talked about the housing situation, she reminded me I'd have to change midwives which I totally forgot about Sad

Had a dream me & the dickhead ex got back together last night Hmm wasn't the reunion I expected it to be! Spent most of the dream waiting for him to leave me again.....seems my subconscious is a bit smarter than I thought!

Annoyingly though, I'm struggling to get him & that dream out of my head Angry

Just trying to look forward & plan for the near future.

OP posts:
Surreyblah · 25/01/2017 16:44

Hope your housing is sorted out really soon.

Sorry for negativity about your DS's middle bame being my only contribution to this thread. I think it's a prejudice I have about alternative spellings. Winter is a bit "alternative" but at least the "proper" spelling for pedants among us!

Surreyblah · 25/01/2017 16:46

You can change midwives, hospitals etc very quickly, I did about a week before DC2 arrived, waa straightforward.

Quarksoundslikequack · 25/01/2017 16:50

Oh don't worry! It's your opinion.

I've been wondering whether I want to give my son an alternative name, I don't want to hinder any chances at jobs.

A week tomorrow il find out if the flat is good to go ahead. Will be 4 weeks & 4 days until I'd be able to move in due to another tenant being there.

However as it's fully furnished, I won't need to take much with me!

Fingers crossed it all works out for me.

OP posts:
SilenceOfThePrams · 26/01/2017 18:07

A middle name won't hinder his job applications - he can chose whether or not to use it.

But if you're worried, how about Joshua William? Same initials and similar sound to Wynter.

Quarksoundslikequack · 26/01/2017 20:11

I mean IF I decided to switch his middle name to his first name.

I'm not set on a name just yet.

I've booked a 4D scan for a week today so I can see what he looks like! So excited

OP posts:
LonelyImSoLonely · 27/01/2017 09:35

I think the 4d scan sounds perfect to help you get excited.
I love the name Wynter/Winter and a family I know has it as a male family name.
If you prefer it use it as a first name, if not Joshua Wynter sounds perfect.

Don't worry about the midwives, some people even end up delivering on holiday/completely different areas where they are not registered and the system still works/you will be followed up by midwife team where you are discharged too

Quarksoundslikequack · 27/01/2017 12:06

Less than a week today until I get to see his face, so excited!

Fingers crossed I get the news I'm so desperate for, in regards to the flat.

Unfortunately I put a lb on at SW yesterday, not going to give myself a hard time though given the fact I'm 29 weeks pregnant.

Going away for the night with sister & brother in law, my bloody handbrake broke last night so am having to get that fixed tomorrow.

DearMrDilkington · 27/01/2017 12:27

Your doing brilliantly coping with all of this, well done! I wouldn't be able to cope as well as you are.

I really hope you get the flat, when will you know for sure?

Sending positive vibes.Flowers

Quarksoundslikequack · 29/01/2017 23:00

Thank you! That means a lot, my sister said the same thing on Friday night. I personally didn't think I was coping very well at all! So it's nice to hear someone tell me they think I am.

Had a scare on Friday, baby hadn't moved and wouldn't move no matter how much I tried, rang the hospital and the midwife was a condescending bitch.....basically told me I had to keep trying rather than go in and waste people's time!
I sat and cried. Led down and my sister moved him around and he finally started kicking again.

I will be writing to the hospital to make a complaint, just glad I won't be giving birth there!
