It's been well over 12 hours since I last felt movement, 8 of those were me asleep.

Feeling like absolute shite, out of breath, light headed.....pounding head.....feeling sick.

27 weeks pregnant today

You need to go to your maternity unit NOW

Summer23 · 13/01/2017 13:11

Yes go and get checked out now please.

AuntiePenguin · 13/01/2017 13:11

I would go to your early pregnancy unit (or whatever it's called in your area) and just say you're concerned as baby is not moving. They'll monitor you for a while to check he/she is ok, and they'll check your blood pressure etc to be sure you're ok.

Daisypopslop · 13/01/2017 13:12

Go to hospital! This is not what you ask on forums

TheNewMrsGerardButler · 13/01/2017 13:12

Ring your midwife. Although I've never been in for reduced movement (did come close once but baby started moving) my midwife stresses at every appointment to ring the number for the midwifery unit at any concerns of movement and they'll check me over straight away. They prefer to check it out and all be fine than have people worry about wasting their time.

Baby could just be resting but if you're worried, please go in.

BikeRunSki · 13/01/2017 13:12

Hospital now

MollyRedskirts · 13/01/2017 13:12

Get off Mumsnet, get out of the door and go to your maternity unit for monitoring. Immediately.

Quarksoundslikequack · 13/01/2017 13:12

I'm worried they'll think I'm a hypochondriac.....the last two times I been have coincidentally been on a Friday....what if they think I'm paranoid

It could be nothing to worry about baby could have been moving while you were asleep but if you can I would go to be monitored. Are you near to hospital or can you contact your midwife? I went in twice to day unit to be monitored for reduced movement with DD. Both times she was absolutely fine but midwives said err on side of caution and they would rather you go in if you're concerned than not because if there is a problem the sooner you get checked the more chance they have of helping. Especially as you feel unwell I would contact midwife or hospital. My hospital had a day unit on the labour ward for monitoring but not sure if that's standard.

Pootles2010 · 13/01/2017 13:13

What are you doing here? Ring them and go in now. Right now.

DrWhy · 13/01/2017 13:14

Just go! Who cares what they think, you need to know the baby is OK.

AuntiePenguin · 13/01/2017 13:14

They won't think you're a hypochondriac.

Midwives have always said to me they'd rather see somebody and check them out and have it all fine than realise somebody didn't go in for fear of being judged.

NameChange30 · 13/01/2017 13:14

Call the hospital or midwife team or 111 if you want permission/reassurance but I agree with everyone else that you should just go in.

Pootles2010 · 13/01/2017 13:15

They won't, and even if they did that's not as important as the health of you and your baby.

MamaBear13 · 13/01/2017 13:15

Normally I'd suggest drinking a cold drink or lying on your side to see if baby starts moving then. But it's been a while now and you're feeling unwell too so I definitely think you need to go straight up to your maternity care unit or midwife now

Pinotwoman82 · 13/01/2017 13:15

Ring midwife x

SpeakNoWords · 13/01/2017 13:15

They'd rather see you and tell you that themselves after checking you out, than you deciding wrongly not to bother them. Please do go and get checked out if you're not already doing so.

Quarksoundslikequack · 13/01/2017 13:16

I've just rang, midwife busy so will call be back later

CashelGirl · 13/01/2017 13:16

What does it matter if people think you are paranoid. Please go and get checked immediately. The ,aternity unit would rather see 1000 women being "paranoid" than miss 1 baby that needs help.

Notjustuser1458393875 · 13/01/2017 13:17

Please call your midwife or the ward or both now. As long as you talk to someone. Plenty of women are in and out of the antenatal ward more than weekly and staff would ALWAYS rather you call than not. Do not worry for a moment.

TheNewMrsGerardButler · 13/01/2017 13:17

Please just go to hospital or your local midwife unit. Now, not later.

Stormwhale · 13/01/2017 13:18

I'm not sure if it's the same in your area op, but in my area they do not worry about reduced movements until 30 weeks. I was told they were not concerned as they do not expect baby to be consistently moving until then. Try not to worry, but do ask for advice.

Notjustuser1458393875 · 13/01/2017 13:18

Just seen your last post. Call the ward directly. Don't wait for your midwife.

peaceloveandbiscuits · 13/01/2017 13:18

Ring triage at the hospital, not your midwife.

RandomMess · 13/01/2017 13:18

Please ring the midwives at your hospital, not just the local on duty one.
