Feeling really unwell & haven't felt baby move

It's been well over 12 hours since I last felt movement, 8 of those were me asleep.

Feeling like absolute shite, out of breath, light headed.....pounding head.....feeling sick.

27 weeks pregnant today

Oh I'm so thankful

Quarksoundslikequack · 13/01/2017 15:33

I don't care about how I feel physically, I just wanted to make sure baby was okay.

They've given me paracetamol to help with temperature.

Pulse may be attributable to feelings of anxiety over the situation. I'd press them to run some bloods on you OP given your high temperature. You could have an infection.

Quarksoundslikequack · 13/01/2017 15:36

I'm going to assume they will send me home shortly??

As everything is fine with baby quark, I've only got a high temp & pulse

So glad your little one is okay! Hope you start feeling better soon.

blackcherries · 13/01/2017 15:45

ah thank god, thanks for updating

Gallavich · 13/01/2017 15:55

Phew that's a massive relief
Maybe baby was still due to you being poorly with something? Anyway I'm so glad you and baby are ok

Quarksoundslikequack · 13/01/2017 15:58

Thank you for keeping me company all!

Hoping doc will see me soon & send me home

I've pm'd you

bigkidsdidit · 13/01/2017 15:58

The baby movements is something dofferent - but your reaction just may be a panic attack brought on by anxiety about the baby. I had them - and went to EPU for a trace five times in the last weeks of my pregnancy. I felt exactly as you did.

It's only a MIGHT - and in any case you should always go if you can't feel movements.

ScarletSienna · 13/01/2017 16:00

Never worry that they'll think you're over-reacting. I had to go to hospital regularly to be checked and they always reassured me it was the right thing to do Flowers

DragonitesRule · 13/01/2017 16:02

Your heart rate could be up if you are dehydrated OP, so probably not too problematic if your BP is ok. Glad baby is just being lazy!

5000candlesinthewind · 13/01/2017 16:06

Oh I've just read this with my heart in my mouth!
So glad you and your baby are ok, hope you start to feel better soon

mayhew · 13/01/2017 16:06

You might have flu. Have you had a flu jab?

wtffgs · 13/01/2017 16:11

So pleased that your baby is ok Now I hope the hospital and your nearest and dearest are going to look after you

BoboBunnyH0p · 13/01/2017 16:13

So pleased baby is OK and hopefully you will be on your way home soon.

Quarksoundslikequack · 13/01/2017 16:14

I had my flu jab last year, obviously can still get it with one....the doc wants to do bloods to see what's happening because of the temp

CheckpointCharlie2 · 13/01/2017 16:17

Good news op Smile

Quarksoundslikequack · 13/01/2017 16:18

Baby is still being really lazy, hasn't kicked in all the time I've been here

I'm praying it's because he's moved & also because I'm feeling unwell

OP posts:
ScarletSienna · 13/01/2017 16:21

Is your placenta anterior? It made feeling kicks impossible for me.

NameChange30 · 13/01/2017 16:21

Glad baby is ok, hope you are too! The good thing is they're taking bloods and will be able to advise/treat you if there's anything amiss.

MidMay · 13/01/2017 16:22

Glad they are doing bloods. Sounds like you are in good hands.

Quarksoundslikequack · 13/01/2017 16:29

Current situation, just took bloods.

So I put my big girl pants on and declined anaesthetic offered for the cannula, was too late to ask for it when she whipped the needle out!

It was massive! Considering I've had so many bloody cannulas before, the needle was not that big.

Nearly passed out from the pain.

She's just took the bloods and checking urine sample now.

She wants to check baby too

Feeling really unwell & haven't felt baby move

mrstomriddle · 13/01/2017 16:34

I hope every thing is ok OP. Why have they put a cannula in?

I hope you're starting to feel a bit better

Quarksoundslikequack · 13/01/2017 16:41

Checking bloods & then giving me anything needed should the results come back to show anything.

Presume il be here a while
