Good idea Mrs Crab! Anything that will put your mind at rest and help with the anxiety!

Yep, brilliant idea Miss Crab. Can't even tell you how much it's helped me - I've been in such a good mood since my one yesterday. The anxiety will creep back but it's great to have small milestones to work towards xx

Lolly2803 · 10/01/2017 17:16

Aw Bear I am SO glad you're feeling better! Anything that helps anxiety I am all for. 2 weeks today till mine, too early to count the hours? xx

Thanks guys. Glad you're feeling good Bear! Here's to two very fast weeks Lolly! Xx

I am loving all the good news on this thread Smile

I did go and see the GP today, she basically said the way I've been is hardly surprising due to my history and that I am coping very well. We agreed a break from work my help if I promise not to sleep all the time! I have plenty to do so that's not a worry Grin
I feel more up beat now I've told someone how I'm feeling. She's going to see me again in 10 days. She also rang the epu and I had a quick chat with the nurse who was very reassuring.

One thing she did say is that cramps can be related to not drinking enough water, I've not had any pain for a while so I can't try this theory but thought I'd mention it.
I also have my booking appointment on Thursday.

I do really like how positive this thread is.

Bear2014 · 10/01/2017 17:58

That's great you're feeling more positive, Mistletoe! Well done for being proactive and going to the docs. xx

I would argue against the water thing personally, when I'm in the office literally all I do is drink gallons of water and pee every 5 minutes. I was always told the cramps are the uterus stretching and changing shape, and round ligaments stretching around it.

Lolly2803 · 10/01/2017 18:26

Glad you're feeling better Mistletoe. I also agree with Bear. I get twinges and pinches and the odd cramp every now and again. Some days worse than others and I too drink soooo much water and am always on the loo. My Dr said it's things stretching as there's a lot going on in there right now etc and not to worry. She said it's totally normal and only to be concerned if it's severe pain. But good you've got plenty of support from GP and EPU. All sounds perfectly normal though :-)

Morning ladies! Just wondering if any of you are commuters and finding it hard in early pregnancy? Standing on a packed train and bus makes me feel so sick. I had to crouch/squat on the floor this morning! Thankfully a nice lady saw me and offered me her seat. I keep thinking I should get a badge but it's too early as nobody knows. I then bumped into HR on the way in and though thank goodness I didn't have a badge! Tough isn't it!!!

OP posts:
Bear2014 · 11/01/2017 10:00

Morning! Yes my commute is hideous, I have to shoe-horn myself onto a packed train every day. Thankfully I feel fine apart from being knackered. Even if I was wearing a badge, I think about 20 people would have to physically get off the train for me to even be able to squeeze to a seat. If I get big and tired, I think I'll have to change my route and bus and tube it, which is longer but more seats.

You should just wear the badge, you're nearly 12 weeks with twins and you need a seat! Just whip if off as soon as you can after sitting down for the next couple of weeks. Or cover with a scarf. xx

Lolly2803 · 11/01/2017 10:18

Yer I know what you mean Bear. It's hard with so many people! There isn't another route for me but hoping it'll ease a bit soon. I've ordered a badge so I might just do what you said and put it on for a bit!! Scared though!!!

OP posts:
Bear2014 · 11/01/2017 10:43

It's so scary! I never had a badge with DD as I lived right on the Victoria line and had the easiest commute in the world. I've got one now and it's winking at me, won't wear it til later, but I would if i really needed to xx

Lolly2803 · 11/01/2017 10:54

I'm starting to get excited about the thought of telling family and friends. But I'm scared at the same time. Wish my 12wk scan was next week!! But I guess at 13+3 it'll be even safer so I should be thankful.

OP posts:
Bear2014 · 11/01/2017 10:57

Oh definitely. That's one of the reasons I'm not bothered if my scan is late. If it was bang on 12 weeks I'd probably want another one a week later before I told work.

Eeek! You are going to get some good shocked faces with the twin thing. xx

Lolly2803 · 11/01/2017 11:12

I know!! I think my brother is going to be SO shocked. I think I mentioned that they announced he and his wife were expecting their second over Christmas. She is actually a week or so behind me!

My nausea seems to be getting worse rather than better! Wondering if it's just rapping up finishing up the development of the placentas and then it will ease?

Girl who sits opposite me is 7 months pregnant and she has literally no bump. She's not even in maternity clothes. I keep thinking I'm going to look like her in about 3 weeks!!!

OP posts:
Bear2014 · 11/01/2017 11:18

Most people I know who have had twins suffered from sickness for a bit longer than 12 weeks but you never know, it might just stop. It might be being made worse by tiredness if you're starting to not sleep as well?

Yep a girl here didn't announce until 24 weeks, HAHAHA I've been wearing maternity clothes since before Christmas

Lolly2803 · 11/01/2017 11:31

Well last two nights I've stayed up later and actually had much better nights sleep. If I go to the loo in the night I feel sick but have managed to get back to sleep past two nights.
Haha I remember you saying. I've got leggings and a baggy shirt on today. Not maternity just a size bigger than I normally wear. I reckon I'm going to be huge though!!

OP posts:
Bear2014 · 11/01/2017 11:33

I'm really prone to weight gain anyway and have gone up a dress size since last year with our 4 cycles plus miscarriage, so I'm not slim. My c-section scar makes my belly stick out in a more pronounced way too.

Yes your bump will be substantial! But it will look amazing and you'll be fine.

Blueroses99 · 11/01/2017 12:03

I've been wearing my badge from about 5 weeks! I just take it off before I get to work. In the first pregnancy my nausea was terrible and if I stood even for 1 stop I would be sick when I got off. This time it's back pain that means I need a seat! I've never not been offered a seat though... but I do avoid rush hour as I'm on reduced hours which probably helps. Wear badge with pride!

Lolly2803 · 11/01/2017 12:08

Bear I put on weight since doing ivf too. I was tiny before. Now I'm just normal I guess but feel out of shape and a bit wobbly! Not that I care right now!! I don't really care how big I get long as everything is ok.
I've read with second baby you show earlier as well and with multiples!

Blue glad you're been rocking your badge. Soon as mine arrives I'll join the club too! Hope the back pain isn't too bad xxx

OP posts:
Blueroses99 · 11/01/2017 12:24

I'm enormous! I was paranoid that I have a really rounded belly already but hoped it would just be put down to Christmas overindulgence. But yesterday someone (who knows) said it was obviously a bump Blush

Blueroses99 · 11/01/2017 12:25

I've heard the same about multiples showing earlier Lolly.

Bear2014 · 11/01/2017 12:28

Sorry about the back pain Blue

I'm just totally exhausted all the time. DD has been sleeping really badly recently though, great timing, and last night I was up with her from 2-4 am as she has a bad cold. I feel like I've been smacked with a frying pan ;o)

Lolly2803 · 11/01/2017 12:45

Aww Bear that doesn't sound good. Must be hard with an energetic toddler as well!Blue wow a noticeable bump that's amazing!! So funny how different everyone can be.

OP posts:
Blueroses99 · 11/01/2017 13:18

Poor you Bear and DD. Hope the sleeping improves soon.

My chiropractor is my saviour! I'm really going to miss him when I stop working. (I'll probably have to start seeing someone more locally)

Bear2014 · 11/01/2017 13:21

We're absolutely useless with sleep training (and being firm/consistent in general). I couldn't figure out how to stop breastfeeding so I just did it for 2 years. If she wants to come in bed with us, she just comes. I've spent most of this year not wanting to rush her baby-hood in case she's our only child. It's certainly biting me in the ass now!
