Hi ladies! Starting a new thread for those of us who have spent a while on the infertility board while going trough various treatments and are technically pregnant but too scared to join a pregnancy thread! Smile

Hey ladies, how are you all doing?
Just on way back from the clinic. Had a cervix check and got a very quick peek at the twins. All good.
Nervous about my 24 week scan on Monday but then also feel bad about feeling nervous because what my poor brother & SIL are going through.

They have their Dr appointment today so will find out more later on. Can't seem to stop thinking about them and just so so upset. Life can be so cruel can't it.

Hope you're all doing well. Xxx

Hi Lolly! Busy bee this end, OH is in Germany all week and work has decided to be crazy too..

Glad all good with the twins, totally normal to be anxious about any scan I reckon. Your poor family. I was thinking about them over the weekend too, just an awful situation. To have had a good 12 week scan and to be excited about the next stage, only to have it all shot down. Sad xx

Lolly2803 · 29/03/2017 11:45

Yer it's heartbreaking. They are going in today and she will be given a tablet which will stop pregnancy hormone.
She will then go back on Friday to be induced. They said the baby may show signs of life initially but won't survive. They can spend as much time as they want with the baby and then have support on how to arrange funerals or whatever they want to do.

Just so upsetting.

Anyway. Sorry to bring the thread down. Hope you ladies are all doing really well xxx

That just sounds so awful Sad

Blueroses99 · 29/03/2017 12:23

I'm so sorry to hear what your DB and SIL are going through Lolly.

It's not good news from me either, I've been admitted on hospital bedrest as my stitch may be failing and I'm at high risk of pre-term labour - despite all the precautions that have been taken. I've reached the same point in pregnancy as I did last time. Waiting to see what will happen or whether they will intervene - though all such interventions are risky.

Lolly2803 · 29/03/2017 12:29

Aw Blue I'm so sorry must be so scary. You're in the best place though and they can monitor you really closely. Can they put another stitch in? Or does it not work like that.

Hope you're holding up ok xxx

Oh no Blue! You are definitely in the right place by the sounds of it, thinking of you and hope you have lots of visitors/things to watch on the ipad to take your mind off things xx

RafflesMaidenSister · 30/03/2017 08:35

Blue, that's awful. Thinking of you, and all sorts of positive things for you. Fingers crossed.

Lolly2803 · 30/03/2017 14:16

MrsCrabtree · 30/03/2017 18:37

Ditto everyone else - good luck and fingers crossed blue Flowers xxx

Blueroses99 · 31/03/2017 07:37

I had the second stitch yesterday. Doctors are much happier that I will avoid imminent labour. Still likely to be pre-term but they believe we've bought a bit more time. Advised to rest, not necessarily bedrest, definitely not going back to work now, no walks etc. Feel drained but so relieved. Staying in hospital til Sat. Thanks for all the kind wishes and support xx

How is everyone else getting on? Hope it's been uneventful!

mistletoeprickles · 31/03/2017 07:55

I've literally just found 5 minutes to catch up.

blue Flowers how awful. I'm glad things are looking more positive now. I will read your blog later. Take care of yourself.

lolly Flowers I can't imagine how your feeling right now. Awful awful situation.

I'll catch up with everyone else later. Just thought it was important I let blue and lolly know I'm thinking of them xxxx

Lolly2803 · 31/03/2017 08:02

Thanks ladies. They are going into be induced today. Tough times ahead.

So pleased for you Blue. Make sure you do get as much "bed/sofa" rest as you can. But sounds like they've done a good job for you. Keeping everything crossed and sending lots of love xxxx

RafflesMaidenSister · 31/03/2017 08:24

Blue that's a relief. Still keeping fingers crossed.

Lolly, that's incredibly tough and sad. Xxx

Bear2014 · 31/03/2017 08:53

Thinking of your family today Lolly BrewFlowers

Blue what a relief! Definitely keep resting up and let everyone wait on you hand and foot. I know loads of 28-30 weekers who are doing really well so you really don't have too long to go til your chances get very good xx

Blueroses99 · 31/03/2017 10:19

Lolly such a tough day. Please let them know that they are not alone and if they are local to us, please ask them to get in touch with Surrey SANDS, they have been a lifeline through difficult times. If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know xx

Lolly2803 · 31/03/2017 10:38

Thanks Blue. They've been in touch with their local sands I think.
Hope you're doing ok today xxxx
