Sending a virtual hug Lolly. You poor things xxx

Bear2014 · 09/03/2017 20:42

Hope your week/weekend gets better from here xx

MrsCrabtree · 10/03/2017 11:56

Oh rubbish lolly. Sending hugs x

Lolly2803 · 10/03/2017 18:00

Thanks ladies. I am ok just worrying myself sick! Trying to think logically and tell myself It'll be ok but it's so hard. Twin 2's Femur length is 2mm longer and was deemed ok so I'm hoping it is all ok but you know what it's like.

Monday can't come soon enough for me! How are you all doing? xxx

Poor you, Lolly! It's really horrible, isn't it? I'll keep everything crossed for you on Monday.

Bear2014 · 12/03/2017 21:19

Good luck for your appointment tomorrow lolly! Hope you have managed to distract yourselves this weekend and relax a bit xx

Lolly2803 · 12/03/2017 21:58

Thanks Bear. I have managed to be distracted actually which is good. Doesn't feel like it's gone too slow. Am feeling quiet irritable tonight though. Think I'm just really anxious.
Appointment is at 2.30 so just half a day to get through!

Hope you're doing ok. xxx

Thinking you today lolly Flowers

RafflesMaidenSister · 13/03/2017 10:16

Good luck today!

Bear2014 · 13/03/2017 10:18

Morning ladies! Thinking of you Lolly.

So I was 18 weeks yesterday and I read in my pregnancy app that over the next 4 weeks, the baby's weight will increase 6-fold... holy CRAP! I definitely remember a growth spurt around this time with DD but that is extreme. I anticipate the midnight trips to the loo becoming more frequent by the day Shock

Lolly2803 · 13/03/2017 11:18

Thanks All!
Bear I have grown so much in the past two weeks! I am 20+2 now. I'm using a pillow at night and I've got a line down my bump!
Think this is key growing time so def get ready! Haha! It's nice though. Well I'm just seeing it as a good sign.

Will update you all later. I'm very jittery and anxious but trying to be positive and calm. xxxx

Good luck Lolly x

mistletoeprickles · 13/03/2017 16:10

bear I'm only a few days ahead of you and I'm definitely in that growth spurt!
I was told in the playground this morning that I'm nice and round!

Bear2014 · 13/03/2017 16:26

mistletoe that's always nice to hear! Ha ha. It's definitely all pushing up, I had heartburn all night on Friday after a big takeaway. Boo!

Lolly2803 · 13/03/2017 19:52

Hi all,
Glad to hear those bumps are growing! Am sure you all look beautiful.

Dr appointment well as well as it could. She checked everything on both babies again and the only thing outside of normal was Twin 1 Femur length. She said that it's normal for twins to be a bit small and for one to be smaller than the other. She said it can be a soft marker for Down Syndrome but with all the results and the NIPT and no other indicators that would be extremely unlikely so that's basically ruled out. She said that this is likely just normal for twin 1 and that what was important was the growth curve and that is why I will have lots more scans with there being twins.
She also said it can be an early indicator of the placenta not functioning properly later but for now it was absolutely fine.
She didn't mention this but it was in my notes - dwarfism. Apparently it can be a sign of that but there would be other markers and Twin 1 doesnt had any of those so that too is super unlikely.

She didn't seem worried and next scan will be as planned at 24 weeks and she said she'll do it.
I feel better about it and just hoping Twin 1 grows as she/he should do!

Hope you're all ok xxx

Bear2014 · 13/03/2017 20:20

Ah that's really encouraging lolly! I bet you're really glad you went for the NIPT. I'm sure he/she will do some catching up xx

Lolly2803 · 13/03/2017 21:30

Yes I'm really glad! Even though all the other tests showed us as low risk it's that extra peace of mind.

Hopefully Twin 1 will have a growth spurt!

Hope you're doing well xxx

Great news lolly, that sounds reassuring. Glad you're feeling a bit better.

Hope everyone else ok. Glad you're all getting bigger! I am getting very impatient to feel this baby moving! Coming up for 17 weeks... should I be hoping to feel something soon? Still completely irrationally afraid baby might just die one day and I wouldn't know about it Sad Someone tell me to sort myself out!!

Lolly2803 · 13/03/2017 21:56

MrsCrab I didn't feel the twins till about 18 weeks and even then it was the odd wave / tickle. I am 20+3 and I haven't felt any kicks yet! I can't wait to though!

And I'm sure everything with baby Crab is just perfect. When is your next scan?

Bear is yours next week?

OP posts:
FraggleRock77 · 13/03/2017 22:19

Pleased to hear you feel more reassured Lolly. Sounds like you're getting a good NHS service.

Oh Mrs Crab, i feel exactly the same. Still birth, cord around neck, disorders, MMC, etc, etc, etc!! I think when you've suffered loss it's very difficult to stop worrying. Hang in there. Sending a hug xxx

RafflesMaidenSister · 13/03/2017 23:03

That's great news Lolly. Sure little T will catch up or will be little and perfect (as a "statuesque" 5'1" I recommend the latter Wink).

Mrs Crab, I feel exactly the same! It sounds mad doesn't it, but I have days where I'm convinced the fig is just gone, for no reason. Think I have been having little movements for a week or so but only 16 weeks so may well be kidding myself.

Lolly2803 · 14/03/2017 07:20

Yer I have to say they've been really good. No complaints from me so far.
Fraggle I don't think the worry will ever change. Then once they are born it'll probably just be in another way!

I hope Twin 1 catches up. But if she's a girl 5"1 is fine by me! Just want them to be healthy and ok. So fingers crossed for us all.
I also had my date wrong on my phone so I'm actually a day ahead - oops!

When is everyone's next scan/appointment? xxx

OP posts:
Bear2014 · 14/03/2017 08:26

Mrscrab 18 weeks is pretty borderline I reckon. With DD I felt the odd little poke then but nothing definite til 20. I'm 18+2 now and definitely getting prodded but the placenta is tucked at the back this time.

My 22 week scan is on the 6th April and I have another placenta one a week later. I had a MW appointment last friday and heard the heartbeat, as did DD, so that was good. I have to say, I've chilled out quite a lot now. We're desperately trying to get the house done and work is busy for both of us, so I have a feeling time will start to speed up now!

Have a good day all xx

MrsCrabtree · 14/03/2017 08:38

Thanks everyone. I'm glad it's not just me! And that not everyone is already feeling movement at this point. You know what google is like, everyone is feeling their baby at 12 weeks and it's not helping that other people are starting to ask me if I've felt it yet. You're right Fraggle I have also started worrying about the birth and all sorts so the worry is just movable isn't it. Sending thoughts of moral support!

My next scan is in 3 weeks at 20 weeks. On the countdown... I've started antenatal yoga now so it's starting to feel a little bit real. I almost cried in the class because I felt like I was finally part of a club that I had wished for for so long. Just trying to assume everything is ok xx

Bear2014 · 14/03/2017 08:48

Nah anyone who says they are feeling their baby at 12 weeks just has gas! Very early movement and gas are virtually indistinguishable.

That's great that you're doing yoga. I didn't end up having a natural birth last time, but the techniques for keeping calm are useful in lots of situations, like just generally being in hospital, or the early days of breastfeeding! xx
