Welcome oliversmummy sorry missed your post.

Hope those 2 days go quickly for you moonlight

jpeg it's all Aldi's, I can't see anything on their website that's in the leaflet so if anyone wants me to take photos & post them let me know.
They've got the boxes of wipes, a re-useable nappy, safety gate, wooden high chair, blankets, muslins, towels etc.

Tesco's baby event is on Monday & they've reduced baby gros & sleepsuits instore as well.

& I didn't think of that jpeg if you are worried that it's your waters & not wee please get checked. I did & the midwives were lovely & the doctor talked me through what they were looking for.

lynsey I just stocked up on Fairy too, need to get my storage box of 0-6 months & get going really.

Just bought a Ewan sheep to see if it works for new baby. DS didn't sleep through for ten months through the night so going to try anything to make sure this one does.

jpeg28 · 11/01/2017 20:12

Thanks for the tips on leaking pee!! I'm pretty sure it's not my waters as it isn't very much (not enough to notice) and does smell of pee!! How delightful! I might give the midwife a bell just in case.

Thanks dolerite for the baby event days! I better get myself to Tesco and Aldi next week!

NetflixandBill · 11/01/2017 20:20

Hello all, hope you're all coping in this cold!

12 week scan tomorrow. It's been four weeks since the last scan so just praying it'll be ok. Keep assuring myself it's still there but then get waves of fear and dread. I just hope they're running to time tomorrow. I'll be beside myself.

This is torturous!

LynseyH · 11/01/2017 21:12

Good luck netflix I hope they aren't delayed in anyway for you!! The cold isn't even funny is it, I was dithering whilst waiting for the kids in the playground today.
jpeg and dino I'm always really reluctant to point out the negative side of things but if it could be something serious, I'd rather have said something then keep quiet. Sounds like wee though!!
dino thank you for the heads up on the baby events, I somehow always manage to miss them. There isn't actually anything I now need, more just what I want! I saw so many pretty clothes in George at asda today but mostly steered clear as I'm trying to be sensible. I did buy some little pink socks though as they are classed as essential...right?!
They also had lots of gorgeous boys clothes too for those of you expecting blue. Unusual to see such a large choice in boys but good to see too.
Heartburn has well and truly got its grip on me now. Thought I was doing well :-/

OP posts:
XxBecxX · 11/01/2017 22:18

Is yours a very large asda lyns as mine has absolutely no nice baby grows for boys but trills for the girlies!
I do however need restraining as I've gone over mad on the baby's stuff, I'll take a pic of his wardrobe in the morning lol
She might be your first and last girl so go for it lol xxxx

LynseyH · 11/01/2017 22:52

It's just occurred to me that I read on one of my apps it says try leaning forward to squeeze more wee out. Doesn't work for me but leaning to the side does lol.

The asda I went to today is a super large one xxbec. Our local one isn't but this is one of those super sized ones so probably why they had so much in. There was a whole aisle dedicated to boys newborn- 12 months! I was annoyed I never saw anything like it with my 3! I might head back there when she's born as I don't want to go mad on the early stuff she'll barely wear. Definitely gonna be the only girl though. I'm not planning to have any more children now, 4 is enough for us and I don't want to go through the anxiety again or another 40 weeks of feeling like I have this time!

OP posts:
doleritedinosaur · 11/01/2017 22:53

Oh no lynsey you should definitely always say! I did get checked out one night as it was trickling so much but jpeg sounds like bladder.
Baby has got their head right on their cervix so if they're having a dance party I definitely know about it and that's when I feel more pressure.
I don't have to wear a pad all of the time but I'm really hoping my bladder doesn't prolapse now with this natural birth!

Good luck for tomorrow netflix hope they are on time for you.

I've got a list of things to buy pre-baby so have made a note of discount events/discounts. If new baby is a girl got about 3 months worth of baby gros hopefully before I need to get more.
I'm with bex lynsey if you want it and can do it, go for it?

& for heartburn, this works for me as Gaviscon makes me vomit and I don't want to go down medication route but lime, soda water and ice cubes. & I keep topping up the ice cubes. Its definitely working as OH said I'm less snappy haha. & it means meals are no longer painful.

Sah1987 · 12/01/2017 07:00

You're not the only one leaking wee, this week has started for me! I'll have to lean forward!!
Heartburn is a killer I don't normally chew gum but someone at work suggested it and it's helping. I just need an emergency supply at home to stave off the middle of the night heartburn x

ImGonnaSingTheDoomSongNow · 12/01/2017 07:09

Hello again and crongrats to all the new arrivals!
effy I didn't have much of a bump until I was about 5mths with my first so don't worry not showing yet. Our dates should be close (all being well) as I have my 12 week scan on the 26th - time is seriously dragging waiting to get there, this month feels like it's going on forever.

Welcome olivers, sounds like a good range of symptoms and kinda what I've had too. I haven't had much sickness at all (lucky me!) But at the same time it's a worry.

I'm 10 weeks now and most symptoms have eased off apart from sore boobs and needing to wee all the bloody time.

I felt a little sexy for the first time since before BFP last night so wanted to DTD by OH is being stupid and not wanting too because he thinks it might cause problems. He was the same with our daughter and refused to touch me the whole 9mths and now he has 2 MCs as extra panic "reason". He is an idiot.

Anyway sorry for epic post Grin

Whatsername17 · 12/01/2017 08:38

I'm due on the 20th. Same day as Donald Trump takes over as president Confused. Really do not want my dd to be born on that day! Can you imagine the 'headlines from the day you were born' memento? I was really sick last night and I'm feeling little niggles but I've come to the conclusion that, as much as I want it to be a 'sign', I'm probably just Ill.

purpleviolet1 · 12/01/2017 08:42

Hi everyone! Congrats on the new pregnancies and scans. Things are really progressing now. Special congrats to double carrick and mcauley!! Grin whatser you are next!!!!

I've not had any trickling incidents as such but at times getting so much discharge it feels like that?? Constantly wearing a panty liner which helps to keep fresh.

Silly question but how many baby gro's and vests will I need if that is all I am planning to put on the baby for 0-3 months? I know it's preference as well but how many do I need to manage ok??

Can we have a round up of where everyone is at? Just put week + day at the end of your next post.

purpleviolet1 · 12/01/2017 08:42

28+6!

INeedNewShoes · 12/01/2017 08:48

Whatser - at least you'd be distracted from the awfulness of Trump takeover day... Is there anything that can be dug up on him that would mean he wouldn't become president?

Ooh Dolerite - love the lime, soda & ice cubes tip. I'll give that a go. Is it lime cordial or fresh lime?

Purple - I'm getting a lot of discharge as well. I think its relatively normal for 2nd/3rd trimester Confused

23 weeks today Smile

XxBecxX · 12/01/2017 10:03

The April thread I'm on have a nifty cheat sheet that you copy, paste and add yourself too so should we try it?

XxbecxX Due 23rd April, 👶 no.6

LynseyH · 12/01/2017 10:12

Dino I could go and get the things, I'm just wary of doing it?! I have plenty of vests, socks and sleepsuits etc, only about 3 outfits. I can't explain it, I just can't quite bring myself to get extra stuff like the pretty dresses etc. I'm sure it'll be so much different when she arrives!
purple I'd go with the basis of about 3 sleepsuits and vests a day to be honest. I know that sounds a lot but there can be poo/wee accidents, they seem to love having a wee when their nappy is off! Then there's milk leakages and baby sick to contend with too. Baby might be in the same outfit all day but also might need changing a couple of times too....hard to give a really accurate number of what you'd need I think.
whatser there is every chance it could be a sign but going on how I've seen friends cope when they are overdue, I'd gently say try to take each day as it comes and don't read much into anything small... one particular friend was doing all the old wives tales and still went over, she became really down about it and was thoroughly fed up. 8 days to go....yikes!! Mission for today is your bump picture! I'm going to do mine too as it's been a while. Don't want to miss the last opportunity to get one :-)

LynseyH · 12/01/2017 10:18

Here's mine, jumped up (actually rolled off the sofa!) to do it so I don't forget. Excuse the grubby handprints on the mirror!!

oliversmummy26 · 12/01/2017 10:27

Good morning ladies and thank you for the lovely welcome Smile Hi moonlight hope you're pregnancy is progressing well?

Felt dreadful this morning, like I was sea sick or hungover, so feeling much better about things, lol!

6+2 today

jpeg28 · 12/01/2017 10:31

Whatser fingers crossed you'll be a day or two either side of the 20th!! That's so soon!!!

I'm 26+2 today... will post a pic when I get home from work!

Lynsey you have such a lovely neat bump!! Thanks for the tips on sleepsuits etc... I'm going to get to Asda I think later and stock up!

oliversmummy that's a great sign! I felt hungover for 12 weeks... and it did secretly make me happy as I didn't get that before!!

Sah1987 · 12/01/2017 10:56

I had far far to many babygrows etc, I brought 10 before baby came then work friends, family and non work friends brought me loads so ended up at 5 months donating all the packaged ones to charity. My LG was tiny (5lb 6oz and dropped to 4lb 8oz after 3 days) so was in premmie stuff for a few months too.

21 weeks today

Whatsername17 · 12/01/2017 11:17

Here is my bump. Feeling very stretched at the minute! Excuse the messy bedroom!

Whatsername17 · 12/01/2017 11:19

Lynsey your bump is so tiny and cute!

oliversmummy26 · 12/01/2017 11:23

What beautiful bumps! Jpeg I can't remember how many sleepsuits I had with my DS (it was over 4 years ago now and mummy/pregnancy brain isn't helping!) but I did get so many from friends/work mates/family/friends of my parents...you get so much stuff from all sorts of people you never thought you would..So I think I bought a dozen or so, but get bigger sizes as people tend to get too small (newborn or 0-3 months) which don't last too long (particularly for my whopper who was 9lbs 13! I'd hold off opening and washing any tiny ones in case you don't need them and need a bigger size instead..

One thing I do regret doing with my DS was getting so many outfits. They were super cute and I loved putting him in dungarees etc. but when he was about 12 months I felt like I'd missed out on the baby stage and tried dressing him up too much and ended up getting loads of sleepsuits for him when he was too old for them really..so this time around it will be babygrows all the way for me until at least 6 months...apart from the odd outfit I can't resist or special occasions I'm sure! Grin

Whatsername17 · 12/01/2017 11:38

I second the outfits. Dd only wore gros for the first 6 months or so. In fact, my mum moaned at me that it was about time dd wore proper clothes at 6 months! Outfits are cute but such a faff and baby gros are much easier. I've bought about 7 newborn baby gros and another 7 0-3. Once she's here people will buy things and I'll send dh out if I haven't got enough. I loved putting dd in dungarees when she was little. They were so good for when she was crawling and very comfy. I also recommend getting some 'sock-ons' to help keep socks on tiny feet.

doleritedinosaur · 12/01/2017 12:56

I'm 32 weeks exactly today.

Midwife is really pleased I'm getting my home birth & sorting it out at the end of the month.

ineed I use cordial as it's stronger but juice will probably work too.

DS was in babygros until 6 months, outfits were a faff.
I've got about 12 up to 1 month, but most are Next so last a bit longer.
Vests I just stuck with 0-3.
As above about 3 outfits a day, & have at least 2 in the changing bag plus an outfit for yourself. (I learnt the hard way.)

lynsey I've been the same, I've only bought 2 things for this baby. I keep walking away from sleepsuits & outfits. Though I say don't know how big baby will be & have a lot from DS. It's hard to explain.

Here is my bump, now bigger than when I delivered DS at 37 weeks. Really wonder how much bigger I can get.

LynseyH · 12/01/2017 13:04

Haha thank you ladies, I've been told I'm all bump this time, not splat out like I did with the boys! I spread all over with them. Although there is a downside to having a smaller bump...Lots of growth scans! Back there tomorrow.
whatser your bump is nice and neat too! I'm sure (as I know the feeling well) you probably feel huge but your really aren't. I don't think I'd have guessed your basically full term now! I didn't figure in people buying things for baby (jpeg and purple read above before you buy lol) I guess I have a very small circle around me so I'm not expecting to receive gifts!
My partners mum asked a few days ago if there was anything we need but there isn't... as I don't get on with her, she asked my partner, he asked me and I said maybe more vests and sleep suits would be useful but no idea what size she'd go for. My own mum wouldn't buy anything for a new baby unless it's 6 months plus as she says everyone buys small which I guess is true.
