I'm in panic mode this morming. 4+4 and did my first cb digi and got 1-2 weeks.

In all fairness i.did it at 5am cos i needed the loo but it's nothing to worry about it is?

jpeg28 · 04/01/2017 08:26

ginger that's ok... the digitals are not very accurate. I think I still got 1-2 up until about 6 weeks!! I'm pretty sure it measures from implantation or there abouts. It's so hard not to panic in the early days... try to relax as much as you can. Fingers x for you.

alb I'm so sorry for your scan experience, it does sound like the sonographer didn't fully understand and communication was an issue. I completely understand you not wanting to go back there tho. You are so amazingly strong to have gone through what you have... I can't even imagine.

Gingerbreadmam · 04/01/2017 08:40

Ahh phew. I have dry heaved all the way to work so im assuming thats a good sign. I will do 2nd test friday pr saturday and hope for a change.

Tbf i think i had implantation bleeding 26 & 27 december so would fit in well with that i guess?

alb1 i totally sympathise. In my last pregnancy my.consultant was foreign and there was a language barrier at times which is tough. I would certainly request a rescan.

fuzzywuzzy · 04/01/2017 09:30

Gingerbread remember pregnancies are measured from the first day of your last period so a measurement of HCG would only count from conception so it would be two weeks less right?
congratulations on your bfp.

Alb I'm so sorry you went thro that ,each time I had a scan I've been asking is everything ok and I feel like time stops till the sonographer confirms they can see the heartbeat and points it out.
I was so tearful at 16 week appt when midwife couldn't find heartbeat on Doppler, I know a little of how you must have felt. Big hugs.

Gingerbreadmam · 04/01/2017 09:56

Yeah even at 2 weeks less going from lmp i should be 2weeks 4days pregnant so should show 2-3 on digi however if it goes from implantation which i suspect was 26th December i would actually be 1+3 which fits in with the digi?

Think i just need to forget about it for now and hopefully i will get a 2-3 in a few days! Speaking to mw today so will see what she says.

XxBecxX · 04/01/2017 10:19

Ginger we've all had issues with the CB digital, honestly they are so unreliable it should be a crime to sell them, my advice instead is to invest in some FRERs (first response tests) and every 3 days use one to see the line get darker, although it's not a complete guarantee it is nice to see the lines improve in colour and obviously they do get to a point where they can't get any further but they are far more reliable xxx

Gingerbreadmam · 04/01/2017 10:27

Oh thats reassuring thanks!

Guess i will go get more tests at lunchtime. Or i might just not bother and stop torturing myself haha. I have one more cb digi which should change eventually so i will maybe wait till ive done that one before going in full on panic mode?

cucumbershed · 04/01/2017 11:37

Alb so sorry to hear about your first daughter and your scan, I hope you midwife can offer some reassurance.

Ginger as others say cb digital are notoriously pants but plenty of us have bought them anyway! Dry heaving sounds good though (only on planet early pregnancy can something so hideous be classed as good, even coveted!). The sickness has disappeared for me at the moment so I'm googling the crap out of what it means (obviously nothing). Seriously the lack of control over the outcome is so frustrating! I'm sure I'll get a grip at some point, hopefully when I go back to work tomorrow and have gazillions of things to divert my attention.

Gingerbreadmam · 04/01/2017 11:53

How far along are you cucumber

I know i am willing symptoms on myself then wondering if they are all in my head.

I wish i could remember what i felt like with my last as at least that one got off the ground. Only thing i remember is sore boobs and i havent got them.at the mo they just feel heavy. Lots of period type pains which i do remember from last pg too and not from the first which was unsuccesful so who knows. Grrrr!

cucumbershed · 04/01/2017 12:23

I'm 7 weeks I reckon. Things seem pretty similar for me to the successful and not successful pregnancies. There's just no knowing what will happen I guess. Totally understand the willing of symptoms. My boobs are quite sore and heavy/swollen still but then I wonder if that's because I'm constantly poking them to see if it hurts!

Gingerbreadmam · 04/01/2017 12:50

Just spoke to mw and feeling a little deflated.

Tried to quiz her about cb digi and she just said all they check for is hcg didnt take on board my concerns and apparently wont have access to my previous notes.

I wanted her to say i could have the op if i were to mc again but she couldnt even say yes or no and thats something im very anxious about.

On the plus side booking in 3 weeks on monday.

You really cant tell can you cucumber but symptoms r good and i guess until anything shows.s otherwise we are pregnant!

jpeg28 · 04/01/2017 13:27

Sorry your MW didn't put your mind at ease ginger. If you can not test at all I would try that! I got scared early on when lines were not darker and then a nurse told me I was losing this baby too... over the phone! In the end everything was fine but testing made me more anxious and worried. I really do hope everything is ok for you.

Had MW app this morning and heard my little boy's heartbeat for the first time today!! I was petrified she wouldn't be able to find it! All measured up perfectly too. I'm still a tad worried about movement but think I'll just go to the hospital if I get worried again!

Gingerbreadmam · 04/01/2017 13:50

Thanks jpeg i will use the last test i have in the hope i get a 2-3 then after that im leaving it all and assuming everything is ok. Hopefully symptoms will kick in more strongly and i wont be doubting things.

If you're ever concerned about a change in movements definitely pop im to get checked. I'm sure they dont mind.

fuzzywuzzy · 04/01/2017 14:22

Gingerbread in the event of a miscarriage you absolutely should have a choice as to what procedure you get. When I had a MMC I chose SMM as I couldn't bear it to go on.

However, I'd try and stop testing as jpeg suggests.

With my current pregnancy I was convinced it was all going to end badly I had bleeding at around five weeks and nobody could/would help I was offered scans at the EPAU for the six week mark. And when I (unexpectedly) hit that landmark the scan really helped they also prescribed me progesterone till 14 weeks of pregnancy. And I had scans every two weeks till ten weeks and then the EPAU handed my care over to the consultant.

The above really helped ease my anxiety (for a few hours after the scans then I was back to worrying).

Everything crossed for both you and cucumber.

Oh also with regards symptoms I had nothing this pregnancy bar occasional nausea when brushing my teeth. Previous (both successful and unsuccessful) pregnancies I had really bad sickness and very sore breasts so I was really worried. I also stopped taking hpt's because I was so scared of seeing them fade.

Try taking one day at a time. Today you're pregnant. xx

XxBecxX · 04/01/2017 14:51

Hey ladies I saw these pram sets on offer today and I thought they looked like a bit of a bargain, it's by uberchild, I've enclosed a pic, there's lots of colour ways also.

Who did you speak to about your anxiety? On the phone to mw i jusy felt like a piece of paperwork thats how i felt in my previous pregnancy too.

Im not sure regular.scans would.help, i would just end up worse i think but progesterone might however i've got noone to speak to about that as i feel i have just been brushed off.

fuzzywuzzy · 04/01/2017 15:40

Gingerbread I was perceived progesterone by the doctors at the EPAU. Your GP should be able to prescribe it as well.

Can you talk to your GP about your anxiety and ask for progesterone? I don't know if the progesterone helped but it made me feel like I was doing something proactive if that makes sense.

fuzzywuzzy · 04/01/2017 15:40

prescribed

XxBecxX · 04/01/2017 16:30

I had 2 weekly early scans ginger, to be honest after I came away thy helped for that evening but then the reassurance faded pretty quickly with the passing days. The anxiety leading upto each scan was horrendous, it's a fine line to tread between reassurance and having full blown panic attacks as I did especially before the first.
My EPU is self referral and so when I was ready at about 7 weeks I called and was booked straight in.
I have to say that I've been very lucky with the offers of support from the vairious MW's I've seen to date, I've also had an appoimwnt with a consultant midwife who chatted to me about all my history and we talked about my upcoming labour and all the anxietys I had and that was really nice, obviously not nice to say how I was feeling out loud but nice to feel listened too and to feel like I mattered and also she was seemingly as excited about my baby as I was, it was a good experience overall, I also have her personal email address and she said mail her any time with any question or worry, anything at all.
She also said that her aim was to get me to 36 weeks and then we would look into making a birthing plan, mostly about inducing me but still it felt great like she understood my SPD and my worrisome mind lol

I bought my first back of nappies today, I'm fuming they stopped selling huggies here in the U.K. So I've had to buy pampers but hey ho, also I've found out that my hospital no longer provides bottles of baby milk after you've delivered, you have to now purchase your own and take them when you go in!
I'm in the south east, where about are you ginger?

Gingerbreadmam · 04/01/2017 16:39

Thanks fuzzy. I might make a gp appointment. I didnt know if it was worthwhile as people normally say go.direct to midwife but if it helps it may be worth it.

Is the progesterone pessaries? Have you had any tests to say you need them?

I must admit the scans would stress me so im not fusses about them tbh. bec it sounds like you have some great support. I hope my mw is as good.

Aldi nappies r supposed to be amazing.

fuzzywuzzy · 04/01/2017 17:04

I wasn't tested for the progesterone no. By the time I was prescribed it I was already pregnant so they didn't carry out any tests.

They are pessaries called cyclogest, they were messy but to be honest anything to help support my pregnancy (after five losses), I was so grateful.

Bec I had no idea huggies aren't available anymore!

jpeg28 · 04/01/2017 17:34

I got my first nappies yesterday too bec! Came in my shopping last night... very exciting! Have you seen the boots newborn ones are £1 at the moment! Not sure if they are any good but worth a try for £1!!

MoonlightMojitos · 04/01/2017 18:26

We're they in your local store then jpeg? I posted that on the sales thread lol but I posted it in my due dates thread and about 7 people rushed out and they didn't have them in their stores so I haven't bothered looking in my little local one! I'll type and get there tomorrow then!

I haven't had a chance to catch up yet, been so busy, hopefully will later. Hope everyone is ok x

jpeg28 · 04/01/2017 18:31

I knew someone had posted it but I couldn't remember who!! I sent my mum out to get some Smile not sure if she got any. I did just get 3 packs of pampers for £12 from Ocado. Worked out at 7p a nappy so thought that was quite good.
