Just that really. I'm 35+1 now and feel seriously huge, and I keep bumping into things. Everything feels like a bloody effort. I have a 2 year old DD who I am exhausted by as she has limitless energy. And I have to pee approximately 8000 times a day.

Part of me just wants this to be over now, but then I also am freaked out about having to cope with a toddler and a newborn, so another part of me just wants this baby to stay a bump for as long as possible.

There must be some other ladies out there in the late pregnancy stage who would like to pull up a chair and have a moan with me? Maybe whilst eating Cake ?

Ugh Gabby that sounds rubbish. Have you had any signs at all?

OP posts:
Gabby786 · 01/11/2016 21:46

Absolutely naff all. Have the odd cramp but nothing that signifies labour is imminent.

Kittenrush · 01/11/2016 21:51

God gabby you poor thing, that's not okay at all!

Gabby786 · 01/11/2016 22:15

I know. It's just so disheartening because I'm so nervous the sweep won't work and I'll end up getting induced. The thought of Being induced terrifies me!!!!

Squtternutbosch · 02/11/2016 06:20

I was brought in for "urgent" induction on Monday. It's now Wednesday and I'm still not in labour. FFS.

I fucking hate hospitals and I want to go home, but am stuck here until my baby makes an appearance. Not, as yet, the lovely peaceful, natural birth experience I was hoping for.

shameless plug for sympathy

KitKat1985 · 02/11/2016 08:54

Oh dear Gabby. Could you try going for a good walk today? I think that helped kick things off for me with DD1.

Squtternutbosch that really is shit. How overdue are you? Are they going to try and induce you again today? Sorry to hear you are not getting the home birth experience you were hoping for. Flowers

Squtter you poor thing, you definitely do have all of my sympathy.
I'm 40 weeks exactly today and massively unimpressed that my sweep seemed to have basically no effect. Having a curry tonight, and will try for a walk too. Who knew you could be so uncomfortable? Hugs to all ladies feeling shocking x

Squtternutbosch · 03/11/2016 07:40

Thanks for the sympathy! I was feeling sooooo sorry for myself.

Still nothing to report here, am still in hospital, still not having my baby, still not much of a clue what's going on. But I've had some sleep, which helps!

Am now 3 days over my due date, so not very overdue but have a couple of complications hence the need to induce.

How's everyone else doing? Got my fingers crossed for you all! Come on babies :)

KitKat1985 · 03/11/2016 16:14

Hey kittenrush and squtternutbosch. How are you both doing today? Any signs of any babies?

OP posts:
Kittenrush · 03/11/2016 17:47

No baby, no signs, so uncomfortable. Kill me.

Gabby786 · 03/11/2016 18:07

I just had my stretch and sweep. I'm not even 1cm. I have another one on Monday and my induction is booked for Thursday too.

Hey, can I join? 38+6. PGP. Ready to be able to walk again please.

KitKat1985 · 04/11/2016 08:23

Hello MrsDane. Yes welcome! How are you today? What does PGP mean please?

Not much to report here. I'm 36+4 and feeling uncomfortable.

How are you other ladies?

Have another sweep booked today and I'm feeling hopeful! Everyone I know has messaged me this morning asking if she's here yet. I love them but want to head butt everyone. Gabby you have my sympathy, how disheartening. At least you're all booked in. The end is in sight lovely! Xx

mrsdane · 04/11/2016 09:58

It's pelvic girdle pain - hormones have made my pelvis relax too much, so the bones rub together. I can't walk normally and it is pretty painful all the time.I am so excited to meet my baby and hopefully the symptoms will subside once she arrives.

Good luck to those getting sweeps today, I hope they work!

KitKat1985 · 04/11/2016 11:53

I hope the sweep is successful Kittenrush. As for everyone asking if the baby is here yet, direct them to this website. Grin

MrsDane that sounds horribly painful. No wonder you are fed up. Hopefully baby will arrive soon and your symptoms will then ease off.

I've found my people!

37+5 and feeling seriously miserable. I've been on maternity leave for 2 weeks and it's been lovely. A real mix of good days and bad days - today is bad.

Preschool DC is not sleeping well, I wonder if she is insecure about the imminent arrival. Plus she doesn't cope well when I am vulnerable which increasingly I am.

Heartburn, nausea, back pain, hip pain to which end I have to use crutches in the evenings. Bladder feels like a Capri sun under the foot of an elephant, constantly.

I am hormonal. DH has had Ofsted this week so no support there.

I am looking forward to eating normally again, laying on my stomach, sitting without back or hip pain.

Kittenrush · 04/11/2016 16:21

Haha we are your people chocolate! Join us! Sorry to hear everyone's having such a miserable time.
I had my second sweep today, NOTHING!
Have been for 2x 2km walks, have eaten an entire pineapple, had sex last night, eaten hot sauce. I am now on my way to the chiropractor who assures me she will have her out. If she doesn't, I'm going to cut someone

Tidythatmess · 04/11/2016 18:19

Can I join in? 40+3. Totally exhausted, grumpy and emotional too. Have had sweeps and been eating a lot of pineapple (which I love luckily!). Walking is way too uncomfortable though.

Sleeping comfortably is also a distant memory.

Anyway misery loves company, glad to have found you all. Good luck everyone.

ChocolateBudgeCake · 04/11/2016 18:44

I haven't made any attempt to get things moving, mainly because I'm too lazy. Maybe I'll buy a pineapple tomorrow though.

KitKat1985 · 04/11/2016 20:20

Hello Tidythatmess and ChocolateBudgeCake! Nice to have you with us to lament the joys of late pregnancy, although sorry to hear you are both having a rough time of it.

Any luck at the Chiropractor Kittenrush?

Oh I'm 39 weeks, I've been looking forward to the time when I could legitimately join this thread! Grin Do I qualify?

I've still got a few days of work left, that's keeping me occupied so I don't dwell too much. I really don't feel like anything is going to happen for another 3 weeks, so I'll probably be hanging round this thread for a good while.

I think my hips are starting to go Sad I'm going to try and keep walking as much as I can. Worried about how much fitness I've lost over last 2 months which doesn't bode well for labour.

Kittenrush · 04/11/2016 20:35

She's acupuncture trained so she adjusted me and gave me free acupuncture because she's a good egg. Having some twinges. Surely a sweep and acupuncture in the same day has to work?!

Kittenrush · 04/11/2016 20:35

Amarok how on earth are you still working at 39 weeks? You're my hero!
