Just that really. I'm 35+1 now and feel seriously huge, and I keep bumping into things. Everything feels like a bloody effort. I have a 2 year old DD who I am exhausted by as she has limitless energy. And I have to pee approximately 8000 times a day.

Part of me just wants this to be over now, but then I also am freaked out about having to cope with a toddler and a newborn, so another part of me just wants this baby to stay a bump for as long as possible.

There must be some other ladies out there in the late pregnancy stage who would like to pull up a chair and have a moan with me? Maybe whilst eating Cake ?

All these babies are too comfy and cosy in there. I'm attacking the kitchen floor today and jumping DP as soon as he gets home.

waitingforwombat · 28/10/2016 18:23

Well all change here - BP up, being induced tomorrow! Not ideal being induced clearly, but so pleased end in sight!!!!

waitingforwombat · 28/10/2016 18:24

Ps - any positive induction stories to reassure me tonight?!

BearGryllsHasaBigRope · 28/10/2016 19:07

Induction isn't all bad wombat. I was induced with my first. Drip in, 3 hours later baby out with no pain relief other than gas and air. Good luck with it all! How exciting that you'll get to meet your baby soon.

I've had a day of mild contractions, but not regular and not getting any more painful. May have a bath and a little Wine later on and see if I can relax myself in to labour. I doubt it though.

Kittenrush · 28/10/2016 19:08

My friend had her baby at 38 weeks today. Asshole. Ah no wombat! Brilliant that you know baby is on the way though. I'm afraid this is my first so I can't help you with any stories but, it's all a controlled environment which can only be a good thing :) hope you're alright! Xx

KitKat1985 · 28/10/2016 20:35

Ahh Wombat at least the end is sight. Just think come tomorrow evening you will probably have a baby in your arms (and you won't be pregnant)! No personal experience of induction here but I've heard people say that they prefer the 'controlled' nature of inductions (no mad dash to the hospital mid-contractions etc). Let us know how it goes. xx

Quick update from me - currently on antenatal ward, just waiting for bed on labour ward so they can break my waters.

KitKat1985 · 29/10/2016 11:29

Ahh best of luck Wombat. xxx

Wheey well done wombat :) best of luck xx

waitingforwombat · 30/10/2016 00:32

So that was all rather fast in end. Bed on labour ward 4pm. Waters broken 4.30, baby born 7.22pm. Back on post natal ward by 10pm! Beautiful (if tiny) little boy weighing in at 6lbs 4oz. All a bit shellshocked!

BearGryllsHasaBigRope · 30/10/2016 06:56

Congratulations wombat! FlowersFlowers

I've had a show and I'm having contractions every 6-8 mins. Really hoping this is the real deal.

KitKat1985 · 30/10/2016 08:32

Oh congratulations Wombat!!! Flowers Grin Did you know you were having a boy or was it a surprise? How are you doing today? x

BearGrylls that sounds hopeful. How many weeks are you? Fingers croseed it's the real deal and you also have a healthy baby come this evening. x

39+4 today. Last baby was born at 39+6 and the one before at 40wks exactly so in theory it's about time, and everyone knows that labour always goes to plan.....

KitKat1985 · 30/10/2016 09:08

Ooh sounds hopeful. I'm crossing my fingers for you! x

She arrived at 1am after a fairly speedy active labour Smile

Kittenrush · 31/10/2016 10:37

Well done everyone, massive congrats to you all. I also hate you :,) please get this baby out

KitKat1985 · 31/10/2016 11:15

Yay congratulations BearGrylls!!! Grin Hope you are both doing well!

It must be pretty much your due date now Kittenrush. We need to start an eviction plan for your little one! Spicy curry tonight for you methinks! Lol! x

36 weeks here so a bit behind you ladies. Was awake half the night last night with restless legs and bloody constant peeing. I'm not doing too badly in the daytime but I'm so uncomfortable at night, which is just bloody cruel considering I'm also knackered.

Kittenrush · 31/10/2016 15:51

Wednesday she's due. Really felt like she was coming today, I really got my hopes up, back pain, front pain, needed to poop, but now nothing. Ah well I'll put my feet up and enjoy it while it lasts! DP (bless his heart) made a batch of super strong hot sauce that'll be ready today so fingers crossed.
How are you feeling today kitkat?? Totally agree the sleep thing is so unfair. All this time to sleep but can I sleep past 6am? Not a chance!

Sausagema · 31/10/2016 16:20

Over the magic 37 here, feeling alright I guess. No signs, but the head is definitely going down, ouch!

Home alone for a couple of days. Today I've laid in bed quite a lot and tomorrow I'm going to bake for the freezer so we have nice munchies on hand and nice stuff to feed visitors. Making oatmeal and raisin cookies, gingerbread biscuits, shortbread and lemon drizzle cake. Any suggestions?

Hopefully a couple of these will actually make it to the freezer Grin

KitKat1985 · 31/10/2016 17:24

Kittenrush hopefully that super-strong hot sauce will get things moving. It sounds like things are starting to get ready so fingers crossed she doesn't keep you waiting much longer.

I'm not feeling too bad today. Had a fairly chilled day but took some time to take DD to the library and the park. As I say in the daytime I'm pretty good but nights drag right now (all good preparation for more sleepless nights I guess)!

Sausagema baking sounds like a good idea! I don't have a lot of freezer space or else I might do similar. I think you definitely need some form of chocolate cake in there more for you than visitors!

Just had a sweep, no joy so far but she can feel the babies head, that's a good sign right???

icantgetnosleep5 · 01/11/2016 12:12

I'm 6 days over due and pretty bloody miserable and uncomfortable !
Have another sweep later, but I feel like I've got to th stage where I'm actually too tired to labor!

KitKat1985 · 01/11/2016 14:00

Sounds like a good sign to me Kittenrush! Fingers crossed you get some benefit from the sweep later.

Icantgetsnosleep oh dear you poor thing. Is this your second sweep that you are having later? Hopefully it gets things moving for you.

I am now four days overdue and it's killing me. I'm hoping my sweep on Thursday will do something.
