Felix.

Sorry for another name thread but we're really struggling to find a name we like and this seems to be one of the few names we agree on.

TIA.

Like it, one of mine (DH didn't agree)

AllieBongo · 07/02/2007 22:17

i love it, dh said it made him think of cat food

PeachesMcLean · 07/02/2007 22:18

The cat.

hunkermunker · 07/02/2007 22:18

I do really like it, but I wouldn't use it because it is the name of a cat food.

Miaou · 07/02/2007 22:19

I quite like it. Someone else on here (corry can't remember who, pg brain ) recently called their ds Felix Sebastian, which I think is lovely

QueenEagle · 07/02/2007 22:19

Must admit it makes me think of black and white cats wanting their grub too, sorry.

Sounds a bit of a toff's name - fine if you are posh but not if you is dead common like what I is!

WWWCampbellBlack · 07/02/2007 22:19

I like it, it says romantic hero to me

moondog · 07/02/2007 22:19

Minging

chocolatebirdy · 07/02/2007 22:20

Sorry but i have also heard it as an alternative to FANJO!

TenaLady · 07/02/2007 22:20

I considered it but dh said the cat food thing again. I had to think of the playground.

TenaLady · 07/02/2007 22:21

Matthew and Marcus are hero types to me. Strong names.

pollyanna · 07/02/2007 22:21

I wanted it for ds but dh vetoed it (because of the cat).

nearlyfourbob · 07/02/2007 22:24

No, because of cat food - unless you don't live in UK in which case it's a nice name.

I liked Milo - but that's a malted chocolate drink here in NZ.

ThisTime · 07/02/2007 22:26

Milo would make me think of the Tweenies - and they drive me insane at times!!

sweetkitty · 07/02/2007 22:29

There's a Felix at toddler group, his brother is Oscar (one of my cats names) so I always think of them as cats names.

Felix reminds me of James Bond's American sidekick.

Chandra · 07/02/2007 22:30

I loved the name before I saw Felix the cat at all hours. Out of the UK, I wouldn't hesitate a moment

rachfran · 07/02/2007 22:31

Love Felix and Oscar
If DD was boy she would have been Oscar

I like it, I had an uncle Felix, and have met a young boy called felix and thought it was cute on him.

I think the cat thing will wear off, my ds's name is also the name of a beer company and a tyre company but i don't think people think that when they see him.

AitchTwoOh · 07/02/2007 22:33

felix and oscar. weren't they the odd couple?

wotzsaname · 07/02/2007 22:33

Bubbaloo · 07/02/2007 22:36

Love it, nearly used it. Did get funny looks when I mentioned it though.

wotzsaname · 07/02/2007 22:39

My friend has 2 dogs called Storm and Thunder, you should see the looks she gets when she calls them, everyone runs for shelter!

You can always give them a choice with a middle name, you would be surprised how many adults use them.

But thats another chat thread.
