Honestly bec it was so real!! Grin

LynseyH · 10/09/2016 16:43

I saw it earlier but thank you! I've been pricing everything I'd like to get and so far the total is roughly £525. That's not including clothes or nappies or formula etc! That's for a buggy, moses that includes a mattress, prep machine, steriliser, bottles, travel warmer etc. I actually think that's not too bad! Choose a lovely (quite luxurious) swinging chair as my buggy is coming from abroad and quite cheap compared to UK price. Still completely safety checked etc though.
Not actually buying anything until after the next scan and for now I'm putting money away each week to pay for the baby things and Christmas Shock gonna creep up on us!

Wow Lynsey I think that's well good, your like Martin the money man only with boobs 😂😂😂😂

XxbecquixX · 10/09/2016 18:21

I managed to talk the kids into an easy dinner ( well almost, I had to do dippers and fish fingers) so that was a result!
My lot are a nightmare for food, if they don't see me slave away in the kitchen for a good hour or more they turn their noses up lol
The hubby wasn't hungry and I had a ready meal, now I'm going to slob on the bed watching some tv, unless I get hijacked by the baby to watch Judy Hopps again (zootropolis) 😂😂

XxbecquixX · 10/09/2016 18:22

Hope you have a good time tomorrow JPEG.

Lynsey that's great budgeting, I did similar with DS, OH was really impressed with all my coupon/discount evenings/secondhand buying. If you want anything from Mothercare they should be doing expectant parents events soon & have 10% off that night plus can use the £10 off £100 vouchers too.

Have everything for number 2 & I'm trying to stay away from looking st baby gros as I have a lot left over from DS.
Might get a co-sleeper if basket doesn't work out & need to remember birthing ball for after 20 week scan.

Had such a busy week & friend popped up to stay last night so watched a lot of MIC & food eating.

OH laughed at me as current leggings are too small & maternity too big.

Food looks good Bex.

Made risotto & potato & leek so far today. Was hoping to make a Victoria sponge & homity pie for tomorrow's dinner but the week has slammed into me. Can't wait for a lazy day tomorrow.

Flourishing that's brilliant news getting to 30 weeks, 3/4's of the way there.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

XxbecquixX · 11/09/2016 05:47

Cheers tinkly I've got Amazon prime so I'll go and have a look, that's deffo a bargain xx
I've got to go asda today and I really don't want to, I hate the smell of people at the moment, my friend jumped in the car with me the other day, freshly washed I may add and the smell of her and herbal essences shampoo literally made me pull the car over heaving and going lol
I then dropped her home and something in the house set me off and I was literally nearly puking into her rose bushes 😂😂 her hubby was concerned and was almost holding my hair back for me lol
She said if I'm not careful people are going to 'suss' me out soon.
I've always had a really freaky sense of smell, like if my husband has been out drinking the nite before, next day I can make out what he was drinking by smelling him ( as he sweats it out lol) so my nose is off the charts rights now 🙈
Off for another wee, 3rd one since 12am.

Morning all, such positivity on this thread and bex, you have brought so much energy and joy! Grin

Sorry to be on a downer. Have the scan today at lunchtime. Didn't sleep a wink.. Last scan was just over a week ago (Wednesday) but I've had spotting since then. I've tried so hard to stay neutral but having two good scans has got me invested in this pregnancy..Sad

Should be 11 weeks today. I've decided if it's bad news I'll have the ERPC this time. Really not sure what to tell work as I don't want to tell them i was pregnant/ it's a miscarriage. Wonder if I could just say I'm going for a 'procedure' and leave it at that..

Macauley · 11/09/2016 08:08

Good luck today will be thinking of you and have everything crossed for you! Smile

SharkBastard · 11/09/2016 08:13

Good luck today purple, I would just say that you need a procedure so will be off work. They don't need to know more than that and certainly shouldn't ask

Whatsername17 · 11/09/2016 08:37

Good luck purple. I hope everything is okay x

XxbecquixX · 11/09/2016 08:41

Awwww purple, my luv I'll be thinking of you all day now,and as they say, it ain't over till it's over, you won't feel any better or worse by fearing the worse, nothing will prepare u for a negative outcome, try to cling onto any hope you've got anywhere in you right now just to get you through to the scan.
I'm thinking positive thoughts for you and I'll have everything crossed for you, if I can wish it good for you just know that's what iam here doing xxxxx

doleritedinosaur · 11/09/2016 08:53

Good luck today Purple & don't feel sad about being invested, you're allowed to be hopeful no matter what happens.

I really hope it's good news for you.

HopefulKate1980 · 11/09/2016 09:15

Good luck precious purple. Hold onto hope. They weren't worried about spotting last time were they? You have a fighter in there. Keeping everything crossed for you xx

loz12345 · 11/09/2016 10:01

Purple, I really hope you get some good news today.

As for work if you have to tell them anything (and hopefully you won't) just tell them whatever you feel comfortable with.

The only reason I have told my employer is because they cannot count absence due to maternity reasons as a normal sickness absence they record it and it is disregarded, if I hadn't have told them both times I would be on a written warning by now xxxxxx

Thinking of you today and my fingers are firmly crossed x x x x

Best wishes for today purple. I hope everything is as it should be!

Can I ask a question of the doppler users?
I've noticed twice now that the heartbeat seems to skip a beat. Last time I checked it straight away next morning and it was back to normal but last night and this morning, I'm struggling to hear well because of the placenta noise and it's doing that skipping noise again. Makes me worry abit. I went to bed in a bit of grump because I get annoyed when I can't hear it clearly! Feeling little movements still but the skippy noise bothers me. Anyone any experience?

OP posts:
Naschkatze · 11/09/2016 11:16

Lynsey I haven't noticed skipping a beat. I'm always so excited to find it that I'm not sure I would notice... I'm going to pay more attention now you've mentioned it. Hopefully someone will be along with wisdom soon. Perhaps you could ask midwife to check when you next see them.
I've been getting worried because my baby's heartbeat seems to have gradually slowed. When I first used Doppler (12 weeks) it was around 165. Now at 16 weeks it's more often 144/150. I'm reassuring myself that it's still within normal range and trying to justify it with the idea that it must slow as baby grows... Do you know if this is normal?!
(We'll always find something to worry about wont we!)

Purple Thinking of you. Hope you get good news today.

Thanks ladies. Still 2 weeks til my 20 wk scan. It's the placenta that's causing the noise interference cos it seems to be in the way, but the skipping a beat does bother me. I'm not panicking at the moment as usually it sounds normal and the last time it happened, I picked it up chugging away as normal the next morning. Just this morning, it sounded no clearer than last night and the skippy beat was still there.

I think maybe your right and cos she's still so small, she's hiding away, on my scan she was cuddling the placenta!!
I'll have another listen in later and hopefully she'll play ball this time.
So tired today, didn't sleep well due to a phone going off, snoring and a blooming ear ache! I waannnnt my bed!!
