Yes whatser she's a very selfish person and I shouldn't let it bother me now but it does sting. jpeg this is where the saying comes in that we can't choose our family!
Well done on such a productive day!
dino sorry your feeling rough, I hope it gets better soon!

Jpeg That's incredibly productive! I've been in my pyjamas since 7:15pm after my first day back at work with the children. I'm exhausted but I hope it means I sleep well tonight. I'll be annoyed if its trips to the toilet every two hours again!

dino Sorry you're suffering, hope it improves soon.

Hi everyone, been feeling really quite lightheaded and sore head. It's like my head is spinning and I feel sick.

I felt sick before but not like this. On a couple of occasions a smell has had me literally gipping and I've had to run to the bathroom but my stomach has been empty and not much to come up. It happens so suddenly without warning!

Can anyone relate?

If all is well I am 10+2 today. Next scan Sunday.

McBaby · 06/09/2016 15:13

Got my second beta hgc back my level has gone up from 68 to 678 in 4 days! It only needs to double every 48-72 hours so i am defiantly pregnant for now. I can breathe ft a bit and enjoy feeling sick!!

purpleviolet1 · 06/09/2016 15:26

Aw that's great news Mcbaby!

XxbecquixX · 06/09/2016 15:40

Hya guys I had my scan today and saw a heartbeat!
Feel positive for now, measure more or less where I should be and have been booked in for 2 weeks time for another scan to check progress, I and a bit of a nervous break down in the ultrasound room but I managed to pull it back together somehow xx

XxbecquixX · 06/09/2016 16:28

Well done McB xxx

Whatsername17 · 06/09/2016 16:29

I had that with my dd, purple. At 10 weeks. I think its the hormone sure from the placenta taking over. I was in Morrisons with my pil doing the Christmas food shop and every smell made me gag. I felt light headed and just dreadful. Get plenty of rest and try sipping ice cold water. X

Whatsername17 · 06/09/2016 16:30

Congrats McB and Bec! Lovely news!

hummingbird100 · 06/09/2016 16:40

Can I join? I'm 6+5 after a mmc back in April. Hello :)

purpleviolet1 · 06/09/2016 16:45

That's great xxbec!

Thanks for the reassurance whatser. Unfortunately I've had some brown spotting. A scan last week did show a possible small heomotoma so they did say it could be coming from that. It just happened twice last week , a (very thin line of pantyliner) and nothing since until today.

It doesn't feel like a good sign. Next scan is Sunday. Not sure whether to phone them to see if they can see me earlier. Booking appt tomorrow morning.

Whatsername17 · 06/09/2016 16:48

Definitely phone. Sunday will feel like such a long time away. Try the epu too. They can only say no. Will.kerp my fx for you x

XxbecquixX · 06/09/2016 16:59

Thanks guys X
Welcome to hummingbird xxx

They saw a bleed on my scan in the womb, the midwife didn't seem to put any thought into it really, she thinks it's been there since implantation, and she said if I get brown spotting don't worry.
Obviously I would worry but she didn't seem at all phased by it and I know her well she's been delivering my babies since 2007, she's the caring type.
I also had that with my 2nd baby and it just reabsorbed eventually xx

jpeg28 · 06/09/2016 17:04

Amazing news McBaby!! And xxbec! Great that you saw a heartbeat!!

purple hope the brown spotting stops... Thinking of you.

Felt so so sick all day today Confused

Whatsername17 · 06/09/2016 18:27

My dd has just pulled up my top over my bump and sang 'You are my sister, my only sister. You make me happy, when sky's are grey. You'll never know dear, how much I love you, so please don't take my sister away.' I can't stop crying!

jpeg28 · 06/09/2016 18:36

Whatser that is so adorable!!!

It really was lovely and quote unexpected. I'm feeling very lucky today x

pastabest · 06/09/2016 21:17

Well I've had a bit of a strange day.

I'm 18+5 and all has generally been going well. I was out with DP for the day buying some sheep and fainted twice in fairly spectacular fashion in front of lots of people Blush I've never fainted before in my life.

No warning really, I was absolutely fine until I wasn't! When I came round I was covered in sheep poo and wee.

I was quite relaxed about it thinking it was just one of those pregnancy things but DM and DP said they would be happier if I got checked out. So I went and GP just said slightly low blood pressure and to come back if it keeps happening.

The concerning bit is the baby has been quite wriggly in the evenings but I haven't felt it much at all this evening Sad not sure if I'm just being paranoid.

Whatsername17 · 06/09/2016 21:42

I'm 20+4 and I have days where baby is wriggly and days where she isn't as much. The rule of thumb is if you are worried, get checked out. Could you have fallen on your bump? If you contact your midwife she might bring you in for a listen to baby. Don't second guess yourself, if you are worried get checked out.Flowers

LuckyinOctober · 06/09/2016 21:49

Macaulay I have my 20 week scan coming up on Monday so can relate to the anxious anticipation, although with this one I'm more excited whereas at 12 weeks I was more wary and googling risks. This time I've still read about all the possible problems they could find but I'm less convinced this time that it'll be bad news. No real way to know of course, but I'm feeling more positive!

Purple I had the lightheaded, headache-y and gipping at smells at 10/11 weeks too. For me it passed through as hopefully yours will, whats explanation of the placenta taking over and hormones surging makes sense. I found getting plenty fresh air, cold water, keeping a fresh scent to smell handy and eating regularly helped me. Your DD sounds adorable whats!

I'm wondering, has anyone come across any decent UK based pregnancy podcasts to listen to? I have an hour's commute each way to work and listen to podcasts as a way of making the time feel more useful, but I've only found american based pregnancy podcasts so far, and there are big differences in UK and US systems so think I might be better with a UK option if there is such a thing?

pasta I'm at a similar stage to you, 19+1, and my baby's movements aren't regular and predictable yet, I think they can vary at this stage? It's good you've been checked out and it sounds like the GP wasn't worried but if you are you could always ring your midwife to talk it through?

Glad to hear it's not normal to have very regular movements at this stage. I have felt a few kicks but it's been nothing like as wriggly as usual.

No definitely didn't fall on my bump, DP caught me the first time (and a small child apparently also broke my fall ) and the second time DPs friend (DP had left to go and fetch the landrover) saw me going off on a wobble again and helpfully lowered me to the ground. Into a massive puddle of sheep shit...which was slightly less helpful.

I was thankfully oblivious on both occasions. Grin

loz12345 · 07/09/2016 02:34

Middle of the night post says it all, going to call docs tomorrow to get referral to epu as still spotting and just feel like something has gone wrong should b 7 weeks today but seems like my symptoms have disappeared, it's a nightmare tho I am trying to pretend everything is fine for ds who is 6 but it's so hard trying to phone work and gp's without him overhearing and getting him ready for school but has to be done

Glad everyone else seems to be hanging in there x xxx

SharkBastard · 07/09/2016 07:15

Oh Loz, really hope you can get to epu and that's it's good news.

Thinking of you
