Lynsey that's great you heard such a strong heartbeat! I don't know if the anxieties go away... I hope they do but because of our losses it's so hard to not worry. I envy the pregnant women who have had the perfect pregnancies where they can be excited throughout the whole thing. But you have nothing to be anxious about. Your little girl sounds like she is doing amazingly!

whatser I'm so sorry about your nan-in-law. Flowers

XxbecquixX · 02/09/2016 07:55

Lynsey I know there are people on here that have had a late loss but there was a medical reason that happened.
Up until 12 weeks as you know is the most crucial time as the baby is developing all that they need brain and organ wise, after that point it's literally just maturing and fattening!
You have done the hardest part and now you just need to plump that little darling up.
Like I've said before, if your ever worried about a lack of movement have yourself a nice hot cuppa and that should rouse her up.
You're always going to worry a bit, and with you as also with me, you're nappy has already proven that it's capable of giving you lovely healthy little ones. Xxxxxx

XxbecquixX · 02/09/2016 08:04

I'd just like to add something though with regards to the Doppler, midwives really don't like us using them as 1, ladies can sometimes struggle to locate the heartbeat and can have an absolute meltdown, 2, some woman who's baby's movements had slowed down and changed where falsely reassured when they then found the heartbeat, failing to seek advice as they believed everything to be fine, when in a small amount of cases things turned out not to be, and the movement pattern was the first indication of an issue.
I would literally get your midwife a number and everytime your concerned just call her, even if it's 10 trips to the MAU, you will always have that fear in your mind as will I.
I have only told you this as you may not have already have heard it and I definetly don't want to cause you any more anxiety, (which I probably have) but it's definetly something all us girls should be aware of.

purpleviolet1 · 02/09/2016 08:05

So sorry whatser. I hope her last hours are as comfortable as possible. Death is so hard.

Tinkly poo. Thinking of your dad too. Flowers

Lyndsey I think it's normal after a loss to have such anxiety. You are nearly there!!!

Can I just ask if everyone took folic acid strictly during the first 3 months? I've taken it on and off since last October when we first started trying but this pregnancy I've been particularly bad. I think i took it between weeks 4-6 strictly and since then I've been forgetting. Sad

9+5

Thank you (again!) ladies for coming to the rescue. It bought tears to my eyes reading your responses. I know we aren't ment to wish our lives away but think it's a safe bet we'd all happily fast forward to our due dates so we have babies in our arms.
I know to the most part I'm keeping my anxiety under control, it's just so hard once it's crept in to ignore it.
Regarding my doppler, I know midwives usually frown upon them. The mental health midwife wasn't thrilled but my normal one was much more understanding. I made the decision a while ago that I'd only use it until regular movements were there.
Purple I have taken folic acid strictly with any of my pregnancies and no harm done. I was more like take one, miss one, take one Confused

Lol me too on the folic, I took one and my face was burning up, so I was very reluctant to keep taking them, struggling but trying.
I had pregnacare last time and I was just too superstitious to take it again in this pg, I'm a div I know lol

XxbecquixX · 02/09/2016 13:57

Omg I'm terrified! I've just received my booking appointment and my Nuchal scan through the post, my guts in knots

McBaby · 02/09/2016 14:29

Got my first beta blood test back at 12dpo it's 68 which seems normal next one on Monday.

No more bleeding and I feel sick constantly!

So I am positive today :)

theAntsareMyFriends · 02/09/2016 14:41

I took FA really religiously for the first 2 months of TTC then when it took ages to get PG I just sort of forgot. Bread has FA in it (wholemeal has it in naturally and white is fortified I think). I heard it fairly easy to get it through your diet anyway but don't quote me on that.

Lynsey I'm with you about wishing time would speed up a bit. My aim is just to get to a scan with heart beat and then I hope I'll relax a bit.

My boobs have gone down since last night and as they are my only symptom I've been feeling really negative. I did one of those CB digi tests. I've never done one and thought I should give it a go. I got 3+ weeks and even though I know that aren't accurate it made me feel so much more hopeful. I'm going to try to keep this hopeful feeling and have a nice weekend.

I'm so sorry to hear of the losses that some of you lovely ladies have suffered. I haven't been around on here for a little while as I found it added to the anxiety in my new pregnancy but I have had nothing but good thoughts and wishes for everyone in this position. Pregnancy is hard, especially with a loss weighing heavy in your heart and I am not specially sorry for all the suffering. Please all be kind to yourselves.

I'm sorry to be insensitive also but for those who remember me I have reached 13 weeks, and I had my scan. The baby measured perfectly and wriggles away from a nice position to get a clear picture of its face, but just seeing it wriggle and move was spectacular.

I hope for good things for you all 🙂

Amazing lottie! Well done xxx

purpleviolet1 · 02/09/2016 22:51

Really nice news lottir!

LuckyinOctober · 02/09/2016 22:58

Congrats Lottie, great pic!

Purple my EPU told me that taking folic acid reduced MC risk, which means I'm probably now almost obsessive about taking it every day with my evening meal, and I'm now 18+5. Probably depends what your diet is like as lots of cereals and breads are fortified with it and veggies are a good natural source, but I'd try and take it regularly if you can for the next couple of weeks xx

Whatsername17 · 02/09/2016 23:06

Folic acid builds up.in your body. I wouldn't worry, purple. You and I have been taking it for about a year haven't we? Our levels must be great! In the first trimester I missed it a few times. Only remember to take it now because it's next to my aspirin and it's very important I take that. Lively news lottie and McB!

Can i jump in to the thread? I'm 6+6 today. I've has 2 previous miscarriages, one at 6+1 and one at 6+6...so today is a nervous day for this one!

Sorry to read of the losses, it's so cruel

Pregnancy after miscarriage is pretty terrifying isn't it? I have one DC who is 8 and, with this pregnancy, I can remember why I left it so long! Sick as a dog and terrible tiredness with insomnia!

SharkBastard · 03/09/2016 05:24

Speaking of sick! Just puked up...positive signs though
