Agreeing with Mrs here JPEG if you had an internal scan that can cause bleeding too. Really hope it settles for you & EPU can help tomorrow. & don't feel bad for getting excited, it's natural.

When is your next scan Mrs? It's perfectly fine to have moments like that after everything you've gone through & hormones absolutely amplify everything. Hope tomorrow is a better day for you.

McBaby it could be implatantation at that early. Are you having any bloods or anything done?

McBaby · 01/09/2016 06:38

I'm going to see the go this morning to see if she can do blood test today and on Monday just so I have an idea of what is happening

jpeg28 · 01/09/2016 06:51

Thanks everyone, I did manage to sleep and bleeding seems to have stopped (although lying down could do that)... What worries me is the constant cramping and loss of all of symptoms. I think deep down I know what's happening. Had a good cry last night to OH and I'm just going to call EPU when they open and see what they say. Really don't want to take the first week off school so if it is bad news I think I'll just have to battle through it. I'll let you all know.

XxbecquixX · 01/09/2016 06:51

Good luck today JPEG I'm thinking of you.
You too mcbaby xxxx

McBaby · 01/09/2016 07:27

JPEG good news on no bleeding overnight. Fingers crossed it was the scan causing the bleeding.

I just took another pregnancy test my logic being if it was the start of a mc wouldn't my hgc have to fallen or not increased?

It is a strong positive, so much more so than two days ago!

jpeg28 · 01/09/2016 07:28

That's a good sign Mcbaby!

broodylady80 · 01/09/2016 08:35

Hi everyone hope you are all keeping ok, I hope anyone who is concerned gets a chance to be seen today so reassurance if nothing else.

I went to a&e last night as I had a bad pain in my left side, they told me to manage it with painkillers as I have a follow up at the epu this morning for another scan and more bloods.

I can't help feeling like its a matter of time before I'm told it's all over. Even my boobs don't seem to be as tender as before

jpeg28 · 01/09/2016 08:39

Oh broody I'm really sorry you're going through this. Fingers X everything will be ok for you.

My EPU were completely useless and won't see me. They said they discharged me after the scan so if I'm having a MC then I have to manage the pain etc at home. Really angry about it.

broodylady80 · 01/09/2016 08:43

That's awful jpeg! To be honest I found the unit I went to very contradictory. There were 2 nurses and one was saying no to everything the other said on Tuesday so I guess I'm just going to have to ask more questions today.

I am just overwhelmed by it all now, it's hard keeping a positive mind when things get tough.

jpeg28 · 01/09/2016 08:47

I'm so angry about it. I've been to the EPU 3 times this pregnancy and now they don't care. I just want to know either way, even though deep down I know what's going on, I just thought they would at least see me or take bloods maybe. I have a midwife app on Monday, I might just go to it and see if they can help me.

broodylady80 · 01/09/2016 08:50

Try and have faith jpeg that everything will be ok. It is awful that they are just dismissing you though! The torture is ridiculous when you are faced with something like this.

Would it be worthwhile seeing your gp?

Has and bleeding etc now stopped?

jpeg28 · 01/09/2016 08:55

I'm going to call the mw and see what they say. Bleeding is now brown a clotty (sorry tmi!) dull cramps continuing and no pg symptoms. My OH is really positive about it all but I just can't be.

BertieBotts · 01/09/2016 09:13

Jpeg fingers crossed for you. I hope the midwife will see you. You saw the heartbeat didn't you before? That's a great sign.

purpleviolet1 · 01/09/2016 09:29

Morning ladies. Sorry Mcbaby and JPEG to hear what you are going through..it is so very very hard and such an emotional rollercoaster.

So re my brown discharge/ bleeding yesterday, I had the routine appt with the obstetrician and told him and he was able to get me scanned straight away. It all looked ok and they saw a patch where they thought the bleeding could be coming from. They measured me at 9+3 when according to my last scan I should've been 9+4 but she said its so difficult to be accurate when it's tiny so she was quite comfortable.

I'm not feeling too hopeful though. I had a private scan booked on Sunday but im going to try and push it out a little so that's there won't be as much of a gap between it and the 12 week scan.

purpleviolet1 · 01/09/2016 09:31

Sorry I've been typing and then got distracted so I've missed a lot of posts.

JPEG and broody, thinking of you both. Keep pushing until you get what you need from the EPU!

XxbecquixX · 01/09/2016 09:56

When I went to the gp she was going to refer me to the EPU until I had told her I had already rang them myself, mine is a self referral and gp, I can't see how they have cheek to tell you they won't see you, at the end of the day that's what it's there for!
What areas are you in jpeg and mcbaby?

XxbecquixX · 01/09/2016 09:59

Purple an I just say that I have had that loads of times, days out etc some scanners scan right at the end of the baby, and some scan down to the toe so to speak when doing the CRL so you can get slightly varying results xxx

McBaby · 01/09/2016 10:08

I am in north London. Gp just did s blood test for me go from there but will refer for an Early scan in a couple of weeks.

doleritedinosaur · 01/09/2016 11:17

Purple with scanning my sonagrapher said the NHS equipment isn't really accurate until around 11 weeks due to size of fetus/equipment.
Not sure if private do have better or the same scanners.

So sorry you're both going through this broody & Jpeg & hope it gets sorted.

EPU's are just so different, when I had my MC, the first sonagrapher & midwife were just matter of fact then when I went 2 weeks later even though it was obvious it was an MC I had different ones who were more considerate & compassionate I'D say.

I made a carrot cake last night the baby disagreed with at midnight so have been nauseous since then. My driving instructor sent me home, as DS decided sleep was not required. OH tried to help as much as he could.
Going to get bagels as apparently I want bagels & ketchup.

Hope everyone else is okay. Sorry to whine about nausea when some people have no symptoms.

XxbecquixX · 01/09/2016 11:24

Could you possibly get to st helier hospital mcbaby as they have a walk in EPU that starts at 10am.
It's a long wait to be seen but you will be seen xx

McBaby · 01/09/2016 12:07

The gp would have referred me for a scan this morning but we both thought 4 weeks was too early. I feel calmer as j have done all I can to find out what is going on.

There is a epu at one of my local
Hospitals where you can self refer or have the go refer you.

XxbecquixX · 01/09/2016 12:31

That's good that your feeling calm, 4 weeks is a bit early to see anything, usually they just do the bloods like they have.
I think once they see levels over 2000 they will then scan you xx

broodylady80 · 01/09/2016 13:40

Hi guys I am bowing out as I just heard my levels have halved so they are expected me to take a bleed anytime within the next two weeks.

I wish you all well with your journeys and I hope you all get the good result at the end Flowers

jpeg28 · 01/09/2016 13:46

broody I'm really really sorry. Look after yourself Flowers

LynseyH · 01/09/2016 13:46

Oh broody I'm so very sorry. Be kind to yourself and take time to heal. Really hoped for the best for you xx
