Hya ladies, I have been induced with everyone of my babies, baby Freddie tho, (the 10lb one lol) was the one that when they started induction the midwife said even tho 2 weeks early, I was close to going on my own, he was born 15 minutes after my waters broke so, I know I'm quick when I'm ready to, so with the last baby I had a birth pack at home in case I couldn't get to hospital on time.
If I where you I'd just have the pool ready for the last 2 weeks just ready and waiting lol

Don't fret broody, you will laugh your head off at me, I went for a scan and the sonographer couldn't find anything (baby number 5) so I went back a week later and the same sonographer couldn't find anything again, I was burning up and worried sick, in the end I said luv, feel free to poke that thing up me a bit more lol as soon as she did there he was all 7 weeks of him lol
Some times you just get poorly trained people, or should I say tentative types, xxxxx

XxbecquixX · 31/08/2016 15:45

Also don't know if I mentioned I've got a scan for next week with the EPU, I went to the docs today as I feel like I've a water infection brewing.
She gave me anti's and told me to take Vitamin D aswell as my folic acid.
When we went through my booking forms she & told me to tell the EPU that she wants weekly scans until 12 for me, she was watching me fiddle and play with my hands with my anxiety whilst we where talking.
I must of looked like a mental case lol
She said she thinks it was very sensible to wait until next week for a scan as (God willing) everything is ok I should be able to see something being 7+.
I've got everything crossed especially my legs 😂😂

Whatsername17 · 31/08/2016 16:42

Can you phone the epu and get it checked, purple? I'm sure that it is nothing to worth about. Welcome to the newbies x

doleritedinosaur · 31/08/2016 17:22

Brown is usually old blood purple, has anything happened to irritate cervix or anything? Can you ring the EPU?

Lynsey if you do want a home birth I would push for it. Especially if you are quick.

I had DS 75 minutes after they broke my waters so I was recommended home births too. OH has refused to drive me to the Welsh borders in labour, regardless of how good the grass verges look.

It's 15 minutes to hospital in an ambulance, probably faster so if I needed surgery would take just as much time if I'm there anyway.

Felt a lot of movement today, can't believe how much. OH has already started talking to & being affectionate with my mini bump, he's so happy which makes me feel a bit anxious in what can go wrong.

Congratulations on a boy Carrick, so wonderful! & kicks too.

Welcome to the new people, anxiety is normal for after peeing on the stick stage. It really is a day at a time.

Hope everyone else is okay & I think I'm in second trimester tomorrow, starting to believe I'll have a baby at the end of this.

Whatsername17 · 31/08/2016 17:49

I had my 20 week scan today. All went well and he confirmed she is a girl! Being re-scanned at 32 weeks as the placenta is low and if it doesn't migrate I will have to have a section.

Naschkatze · 31/08/2016 18:00

Congratulations Whatser!

Lynsey Surely it would make sense for you to be at home rather than the possibility of not quite making it to hospital! I would like a home birth too - first timer though so I may be mad!

Welcome to everyone new, lovely to see lots of new names.

14+5 now and I'm starting to feel human again! Nausea is much less frequent and I'm generally less tired. Pleased because it's back to work tomorrow... any of the other teachers feel like they've forgotten how to do their job over the summer?! Wish me luck for telling the head tomorrow Blush any tips on how to approach it will be gratefully received!

jpeg28 · 31/08/2016 18:10

Amazing news whatser I'm so happy for you!!

purple I know it's worrying (I'm still brown spotting) but it's completely normal. Call the EPU perhaps, they may give you some reassurance.

Welcome to everyone new....

Just been to London to see my uni friend, just couldn't find the words to tell her! After no symptoms this morning I feel horrendous. So exhausted sick and just gross!!

MissClarke86 · 31/08/2016 18:50

Naschkatze Good luck tomorrow. I started back today and it was INSET day but my brain is already all over the place!!

I was quite glad to be back to be honest. I was getting bored of sitting on my arse watching TV and becoming anxious about this baby! Might be a different story after the kids have returned tomorrow though...

In terms of your headteacher, I would just be clear and honest. Tell him/her you're pregnant and your due date and then let them lead the conversation. That's really all you can do! Just remember, they are likely to be a bit panicky because it's their job to cover you BUT that shouldn't affect you so just brush it off!

My positivity is short lived I started spitting today :(

doleritedinosaur · 31/08/2016 20:30

Awww whatser that's lovely.

Tinkly that sounds great. I need to look for a ball now. Definitely getting one after 20 week scan.

The stretching is almost like a period cramp Mrs but can also be like trapped wind. I'm still struggling now & have to distract myself & when body says go, go. Think it's getting the push fear though haha.

Try & eat apricots/prunes if you can. Prune juice has helped me a bit. & if you feel comfortable to, let out gas as much as you can. DS has found me hilarious due to this for the past 6 weeks haha.

McBaby · 31/08/2016 20:34

Spotting not spitting!!

MissClarke86 · 31/08/2016 20:58

McBaby do you know how long it's been since ovulation? It could very well be implantation bleeding.

Naschkatze · 31/08/2016 21:02

Thanks MissClarke INSETs always have that effect, too much information at once! I hope you have a good day with the children tomorrow!

Mcbaby Try to stay positive, lots of people on the thread have had spotting and gone on to have positive scans etc.

McBaby · 31/08/2016 21:17

I am 11dpo so it's very early! I have never had bleeding in previous healthy pregnancies. Just in my mc when I had spotting at 8 weeks then bleeding at 10.

jpeg28 · 31/08/2016 21:20

Sorry I haven't managed to read this evenings posts... Just been to the loo and had bright red blood. I'm really panicking. The scan on Tuesday was completely fine and now this. I'll call the EPU tomorrow but I'm petrified. It's the exact same day in the pregnancy that I had a MC last time.

doleritedinosaur · 31/08/2016 21:24

Have you had a period since your MC Mcbaby?

JPEG have you got any cramping? I really hope it's not bad news. Have you got any means of distracting yourself until you can ring them?

McBaby · 31/08/2016 21:25

Yes I had a period 4 weeks ago and was given the all clear on scan and blood tests 3 weeks ago.

jpeg28 · 31/08/2016 21:26

No cramping dolerite but my boobs don't hurt today where as yesterday they were in agony. My OH is just so positive and thinks everything will be ok. I find it so hard to think like that. I hope I'll be able to sleep and I'll call them as soon as they open tomorrow. Fingers x it's irritation from the ultrasound or something.

Thanks Mrs... I have googled (I know I shouldn't) and I know bleeding doesn't necessarily mean MC... I just don't feel as pg today as I have been. I know even if it is a MC there is nothing I can do. Only just got my first appointment with mw today too. I think I got over excited with this pg especially after seeing heartbeat yesterday. I'll try to sleep and see what the EPU say tomorrow. Thanks so much for your words of wisdom!

MissClarke86 · 31/08/2016 21:42

McBaby 11dpo is fairly classic timing for implantation. If it's that it usually lasts a couple of days and is like a light period. I hope that's all it is for you.

Great scan news carrick and whats. Good luck with EPU tomorrow Jpeg, hope they can can give you a non-scary explanation for the bleeding, and that you can get some sleep tonight. Welcome to the new people.

Pregnancy yoga was great tonight, I have now learned a stretch to settle dizziness (got up too quick in the class), I've learned the benefit too of a pillow between my knees to make lying on my side comfy, and can already see the benefit of the mindfulness and breathing exercises to help with contractions and labour. I can recommend it to anyone else who wants either to boost their posture and flexibility or learn relaxation skills to manage anxiety or prepare for labour with breathing exercises. Feeling positive!
