Really glad the bleeding is stopping Mrs! That's a great sign.

I've just had my scan... Everything was fine, baby measured 6+5 so a day ahead of what I thought, saw a tiny flicker of a heartbeat and the ovary issue has sorted itself out and what ever was there is now gone!! I am still spotting but the doctor wasn't concerned with that at all. Feel so relieved!!

bertie I hope you're doing as well as can be expected, been thinking of you.

Hi. I've been lurking on here for about a week and I've been lurking on the TTC thread too but I'm feeling brave today and very tentatively going to join in. I got a BFP on Saturday and I'm 5+1 today. I've now got further along than I did with my CP pregnancy (December) but still have over 4 weeks to go to get past my MC (April).

I'm a bit up and down. I thought my boobs felt smaller yesterday and had a miserable evening worrying about it but sometime I feel hopeful too. I dread going to the loo and seeing blood but I also want to pop to the loo every 5 mins just to check. Just need to try to be a bit more relaxed and what-will-be-will-be about it but its not easy and I still don't quite believe that there will be a baby at the end of all of this.

I'm 6wks today and I'm having all the same worries.

Yay jpeg great news! So pleased all is well and how great you had your scan early so you didn't have to worry all day. Now you can spend it being happy!
Thank you mrs and tinkly. Totally over the moon! Still smiling this morning and my very lovely 4 yr old told me he already loves his little sister. Made my day!
Great to hear the bleeding is almost gone mrs. I reckon all will be just fine for you!
Welcome ants. Firstly congratulations on your pregnancy, secondly you are in good company on here. Everyone is lovely, caring and no exactly how you feel.
I especially identified with the reluctance to go the loo but also needing to check. Also found it hard to see past a day or two but right now, a day at a time is a good step. Very best wishes for you xx

Welcome Ants... It is so nerve wracking but this is the best place to be to share your worries!!

Whatsername17 · 30/08/2016 10:19

Congratulations jpeg! Lovely news! Keep going, Mrs! It all sounds positive. Waiting to see the midwife to discuss my care plan following the consultant. Little girl is kicking and wriggling away.Grin

XxbecquixX · 30/08/2016 10:45

Well done jpeg so made up for you xxx

Naschkatze · 30/08/2016 11:17

So pleased the scan went well Jpeg. I hope you choose a large treat, you deserve it!

Glad it's looking more positive for you today as well Mrs, all good signs!

Welcome Ants. Lots of support to be found here and taking it a day at a time is a good idea!

BertieBotts · 30/08/2016 12:34

I'm doing great actually! But need to take it easy a bit. I got signed off work sick for a week but have still been going driving Blush I did an autobahn lesson today and got up to 130km/h (81mph) and it was exhilerating but I needed to focus sooo hard and now I'm feeling quite achy and needing to rest.

broodylady80 · 30/08/2016 14:29

Hi everyone, hope it's ok if I join.

Following a miscarriage on July 9th I got another bfp on August 17th. I have all the same symptoms that I initially had but unfortunately at the epu this morning apart from a thick lining to my womb not much else could be seen so I have to go back at the end of next week depending on results of bloods that they also took today.

It's such an anxious time but all your stories give me hope Smile

LynseyH · 30/08/2016 14:36

Welcome broody keep talking on here, lots of ladies with lots of advice and many with different experiences of scans etc. Flowers

Thanks LynseyH Smile

LynseyH · 30/08/2016 14:43

I just responded on your thread so I wouldn't forget anything but you could transfer those details over (copy and paste) and hopefully one of the other ladies will have some more useful advice than my technical (ish) talk!

OP posts:
broodylady80 · 30/08/2016 14:58

Copied from my own thread:

Hi all,

I had a miscarriage roughly 7.5 weeks ago, was sent home from a&e and told to take my own home tests u til it was negative. I did this and all was fine.

2 weeks ago, I took another pregnancy test and it was positive. I obviously was very apprehensive and have been anxious ever since.

I took a light bleed on the evening of the 22nd but apart from a little brown discharge now and again since, I have been clear.

I had an appointment this morning at the local epu and despite having both an belly and internal scan all they could say was that the lining of my womb looked nice and thick but it seemed too early to see anything else.

I got blood taken and hey are to ring me in a few days with the results and pending these I will have to go back at the end of next week they said.

I am now even more anxious than before Confused I don't know whether I am still pregnant or loosing. I even took a test this morning and it is still extremely strong and my boobs are still very sore and tender.

Could it just be that I'm very early or should I really expect this to turn out negative?

I understand there's still hope but I'm finding it very difficult to keep positive x

MissClarke86 · 30/08/2016 15:03

If you had negative tests after your miscarriage before this strong positive, you are definitely pregnant again.

It's still early days, but hopefully congratulations are in order. The blood tests will be able to tell you more but unfortunately it's a waiting game!

I've spent the last 12 weeks anxious about everything but am going for my 12 week scan in an hour...I'm bricking it! I think once you miscarry the anxiety never really goes, further along you get the more hopeful things look.

Try to stay positive!

broodylady80 · 30/08/2016 15:10

Thanks Missclarke, I guess I assumed today they would have seen something or anything so I hoped either way I'd know how things lie.

I'm just going to have to hope that the bloods are good and that they take me back next week.

I've told them I fly to Majorca next Saturday so they said they understand is want to know either way so they would get me back before then so I just need to wait for another week and hope that my tests are still positive and that things have progressed somewhat x

doleritedinosaur · 30/08/2016 15:15

Great scan news Jpeg.

& welcome Ant & Broody.

Broody if you've had negative then positive tests sounds like you are pregnant again & it's too soon to see anything. Especially if around 4 weeks.

Saw a different midwife today, no idea if I need my cervical length checked at 14 weeks which is a week Thursday. All doctors in hospital are doing c sections as its Tuesday & as of yet haven't got back to me.
Starting to be a bit annoyed as its either a yes or no but no one seems to know.
I did find out I can refuse to see a consultant until further along/if I absolutely have to though which isn't too bad. I know that sounds awful but currently wait up to 2 hours per consultant time & they messed up so much with DS I'd rather someone else had the appointment until I absolutely have to see them.

Hope everyone else is having a good day.

doleritedinosaur · 30/08/2016 15:16

Good luck for your 12 week scan Miss Clarke.

broodylady80 · 30/08/2016 15:19

Thanks Dolerite, I hope that's the case and my dates are much too early.

Missclarke, good luck for your 12 week scan, I'm sure you are excited Smile

mikesh909 · 30/08/2016 16:30

Hey everyone,

A week or so offline and the thread has skipped on several hundred messages! I've read through and tried to catch up... apologies to anyone I've missed.

So sorry to hear your news, Bertie. Huge respect and congratulations for passing your theory test under the circumstances.

Poor Mrs, it sounds like you've properly been through the mill. The uncertainty is the absolute worst, I so hope you get some definite answers soon. When is your next scan?

Congratulations to Jpeg for a postive scan outcome and Lynsey on the news of a little girl! I'm so impressed you've got your name picked out already. We have not been able to come up with a single suggestion that isn't a. already in the top ten, b. (in my DP's opinion) a name belonging rightly to old ladies only or c. (in my opinion) NOT AN ACTUAL NAME!! Seems like such a responsibility. How did everyone arrive at their previous choices?

Carrick and MissClarke, I hope all is going well at your respective scans today. All the good thoughts for you both.

Welcome to ants and broody. Every sympathy for the waiting. This thread is indeed a good place to be.

I'm coming up on 27 weeks and, like others at similar stages have said, it's getting harder to sleep / move / generally be comfortable. I am slightly worried that this is still allegedly the 'good' stage. Having said that, I know its not everyone's experience but for me, it has been so much easier to relax and accept the baby as a real thing that is happening, and therefore to understand others' excitement about it since I started feeling her move regularly. Any physical difficulties brought about by increasing size are so much more easily dealt with than the horrid uncertainties of those early days. All my good thoughts and hopes for all you ladies and your babies.

MissClarke86 · 30/08/2016 17:51

Hi ladies, all was well at the scan! Very relieved now Smile

Wow MrsClarke that's amazing! So so happy for you.

purpleviolet1 · 30/08/2016 18:05

Really happy for JPEG and miss Clarke!!

9+3 today and struggling with lack of symptoms... Next scan on Sunday, all being well by then.

doleritedinosaur · 30/08/2016 18:06

Great scan news MissClarke! Did you get a due date?

Mike naming my DS well, I had an absolutely tantrum at 22 weeks that he had no name & that seemed to push us forwards a bit. My middle name became the first name & middle names were easy after that.

Took a lot of baby name website searching/name meaning but my OH was the same saying middle aged men name which frustrated me no end. Got there in the end though.

Luckily this time we have first names for both genders but no middle names as of yet.
