Yes I'm not letting her bring me down. This is my final baby, and after 3 boys, I get a little girl to ice it all so I'm super happy!!
She's got no kids or partner and becoming very bitter about it.
I bought a pink balloon to do my entrance when I got home lol. My parents had come to look after the kids. My Dad was lovely but my mum (obviously just considering my sister) didn't say a fat lot.
Nothing any of them can say will upset me today!!

My mum favours my sister over me, even though I'm the kind one, who she rings at 11pm from the pub to get a lift home!
Or when she is I'll I'm the one who does her shopping etc
Funny and infuriating really, me and my sister recently had a falling out and my sister was extremely hateful, I was in hospital after my MMC emergency op, she was blasting al over Facebook that she was off out with the hubby having lunch and finishing off her hospital bag (she too was pregnant) obviously all who knew my situation where appalled but my mother said nothing, not really a surprise though, she has turned into a completely selfish creature, but I did say to my mum, that I didn't expect her to take sides, just show me some support but no 😮

Whatsername17 · 29/08/2016 18:47

Good for you on not letting them get you down. Xx

LynseyH · 29/08/2016 18:47

Actually sounds very similar to my sister and mum. My sister can be vicious when she's mad and talks to my mum terribly, my mum then cries to me but forgets all about me when my sister decides she's done be angry. Never apologises.
I'm still in the clouds with happiness and they aren't going to spoilt today for me.

Congrats on the little girl Lynsey! That's so exciting!!

XxbecquixX · 29/08/2016 19:00

Let's not dwell on hateful attitudes lol
Now come lyns, what names have we got in mind!!
I went onto the ancestry web page yesterday and some of the older names that came up in the log where my nana and gramps marriage was registered where interesting.
Edie, Elsie, Lilia (which I think is lily-a)& dylis, some really unusual ones on there x

LynseyH · 29/08/2016 20:01

I already have her name sorted, she's being called Emilie Anna. I think it's pretty and girly!

Thank you jpeg! I'm totally worn out with excitement! Will post a little pic of the 4d sneak peak we saw though. Still looks a little hobbit like but has a cute button nose!

Aw Bertie I'm so sorry, well done on your passing your theory with everything going on. Take care of yourself and be kind, its so good your DS is helping distract you. I really hope to see you on here soon.
The midwife said to me after my 5/6 week MC its usually chromosomal/heart formation which can come down to bad luck.

Mrs it does sound like your cervix was very irritated, especially if you had an internal exam as well. Hope it eases for you, I have no idea how long it can last.

Lynsey congratulations! Awww a little girl and she looks so cute! You must be absolutely over the moon. Her name is gorgeous. Your mum's and sisters attitudes are disgusting. I would just ignore them as much as possible, that would probably get their back up more to see it doesn't rile you.

Hope everyone else is doing okay, I've tried to keep up but I've been so tired today. I even had a hour nap and mostly back in bed now before MIC. Have the midwife in the morning to see if I need iron after all this tiredness and to chase up about my cervix length check in 2 weeks. Am also going to see if I am consultant led but I think I'm going to refuse to be if so.

You're making me want to get on with middle names but still feel a bit anxious.

Whatsername17 · 29/08/2016 20:56

Beautiful name and picture!

LynseyH · 29/08/2016 20:57

Thank you ladies. My eldest came along to the scan with us and he was amazed (and said she looks abit freaky!). Partner already is freaking out about having a girl and planning to keep her locked up until she's 30 hehe x

I pity the boy who has to get past dad and three brothers!

DoubleCarrick · 29/08/2016 21:55

Loving the picture lynsey.

Have my 20 week scan tomorrow and feeling very nervous!

BertieBotts · 29/08/2016 21:59

Yes true dolerite and keeping that in mind makes it easier (for me anyway).

I'm going to hang around for a bit and see what happens for everyone. This thread is quite nice as everyone is on such a mix of dates it doesn't feel like I'm watching "what could have been".

LuckyinOctober · 29/08/2016 22:23

Bertie glad you're going to keep in touch with us. Carrick good luck for tomorrow! Lynsey what lovely news, sure she'll be a much cherished and protected little girl and hope the happy bubble protects you a bit longer. 18 weeks today for me, can't believe I'm nearly at the half way stage already. Wondering if that means the second half will seem to go by as fast as the first half? Anyone got any experience of that to share?

Naschkatze · 29/08/2016 22:36

Congratulations Lynsey. What an amazing picture! Beautiful name choice too.

I've just found out that a family member is also pregnant and has exactly the same due date as me! What are the chances of that?! I'm thrilled for them but it has made me a little more nervous and more certain about not announcing for a while longer.

LynseyH · 29/08/2016 22:37

Haha whatser I said we did it in the right order with 3 big brothers, never thought about daddy being so protective though!
Thank you carrick! Best of luck for tomorrow, the nerves are a bugger! Can't wait to hear your news!
lucky after today, I'm going to do my very best to ignore my anxieties and try to enjoy every minute. I have 2 little angels watching over this baby so I have to believe all will be well.
bertie I think you are amazing and so strong. Keep talking and venting. It does help x

Cross posted again! Such a busy thread these days! Thank you nasch.
Do what feels right for you and take the time you need to get your own head around things before having to deal with other people Flowers
