We've got through a whole thread! Hope it's ok that I took the liberty of starting a new one.

Newbies, if you've had fertility treatment and found that it actually worked, this is the thread for you! We're a supportive group of women battling everything from scanxiety to unexplained bleeding, and we generally can't believe this is really happening for us!

First thread is here: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/pregnancy/2584015-Pregnancy-after-infertility

Congrats and welcome MPP!

hello I'm exactly the same! I need to know and be across everything! When is your scan? Do you have a preference? I'm sure you might not want to say. I know what I'd like but it may jinx it and in truth after all this, I just want a healthy happy one!

How is everyone today?

I took Lactulose for the first time after a three day blockage (sorry) and it worked!! Thank the Lord. Thanks to whoever recommended it on here. You are a lifesaver!

I had more disturbing dreams about bleeding. That's my second one now. Slightly disturbing but it's just a dream. Getting back to work tomorrow will help the anxiety I'm sure.

Xx

MPP I just lurk here really but wanted to say welcome and I'm a Reprofit grad too (currently 24 +4)

Borisisback · 21/08/2016 20:41

Blue - me too - reprofit grad 26+5 so only a couple of weeks ahead of you.

blue2014 · 22/08/2016 09:57

Ah Boris, I hadn't realised that Smile
Yay for Reprofit! (I'm still a bit in shocked it actually worked for me hence still lurking!)

Smurfy1981 · 22/08/2016 14:17

Had our 16 wk appointment with midwife today and got to hear our baby's heart beat- what an amazing experience- gutted my hubby wasnt there with me tho 😟 i recorded it on my phone and sent it to him so he is chuffed!

HopefulKate1980 · 22/08/2016 21:45

Congrats smurfy how wonderful!!! Could you tell the sex?

What's Reprofit?

Xx

Smurfy1981 · 22/08/2016 22:18

Thanks hopeful it wasnt a scan, it was just a hand held device she used ive got my 20 wk scan on 14th sept

Grumpelstiltskin · 22/08/2016 22:41

Hi all, and congrats MPP on your pregnancy. Hope you're feeling ok (nervous and paranoid notwithstanding).

Stealth Good luck for your scan tomorrow. Hope The Fear is in check and you sleep ok.

Anyone heard from vixx recently?

How lovely to hear the heartbeat, smurfy! Would you recommend that a DH goes to this 16wk appointment then? I've got mine in a couple of weeks and we weren't that fussed about him taking the time off for it initially. Especially as mine's a consultant appt due to the FET and the fact my thyroid's a bit gippy so possibly will be a bit medical notes-y and dull! He'll be good for support in case of any bad news though I guess.

So I've hit the point of abating symptoms and am rather pissed off that rather than being able to feel happy about it like a normal Fertile, the paranoia is ramping up once again that things are going wrong. Urgh. Confused

Grumpelstiltskin · 22/08/2016 22:45

Forgot to say huge congrats Thom and pleased you're all doing well.

Borisisback · 23/08/2016 07:28

Reprofit is a fertility clinic in the Czech republic. X

HopefulKate1980 · 23/08/2016 08:47

Good luck for today stealth xx

TabbyToes · 23/08/2016 09:43

Hello all! I have been on and off this thread for a few months and it's been great for support especially in the early days which can be so tough. I'm just popping back to say goodbye really- I have made it through to full term and baby is arriving tomorrow morning via planned section (he's breech). Feels hard to believe. I hope you all have uneventful and boring pregnancies and straightforward deliveries, heaven knows you deserve it after infertility.

HP07 I think you were 'closest' to me in terms of due dates, pleased to see that all is looking OK for you! Good luck

HP07 · 23/08/2016 09:46

Brilliant Tabby, that is so exciting. I bet you cannot wait to meet your little one. I hope the section goes well and I really hope you come back on here to let us know how you are getting on with motherhood :) Good luck for tomorrow. xx

stealthbanana · 23/08/2016 10:25

Thanks guys. Just came out & am waiting to see the consultant. All was well - baby is a live wire, he was wriggling around. Measuring big for his dates & everything in the right place & the right number of fingers and toes etc. He's lying upside down with his feet in my ribs which explains why I've been getting rib pain the last couple of days! Anyway, most relieved. We also got some beautiful 3d pictures of his face and he is just divine.

Ooh good luck tomorrow tabby!

grumpel glad the symptoms are easing. I was most reassured that there was no connection between what I am feeling (not much movement - just flutters) and the baby's actual movement (manic - the sonogtapher said he was one of the most active babies she'd ever seen). Just enjoy the period of relative calm - hard when you're a cynical barren, I know.

Aw thats lovely news tabby will be thinking of u tmoro xx
stealth how exciting for u xx

MPP81 · 23/08/2016 10:44

Thank you all for the welcome!

Blue, I have to say, I loved Reprofit. They were, and continue to be, absolutely fab. I'm so glad I was told about them!

Smurfy, how lovely to hear the heartbeat :-)

I am feeling ok, thanks Grumpel (nervous and paranoid notwithstanding). I can imagine the abating symptoms are a worry, and agree it must be frustrating that you cant just be pleased about it like others can. Hope you are ok.

Good luck tomorrow, Tabby! So exciting :-)

Stealth, fantastic news on the scan and your little wriggler. I bet he's gorgeous :-)

How are you doing, Boris?

AFM, I am muddling along. 5+1 today, and my viability scan is two weeks today at 7+1. Its going to be a looooong two weeks I think! I am currently trying to resist the urge to pee on more sticks, just to 'make sure'.

stealthbanana · 23/08/2016 11:24

Oh and welcome mpp! So pleased to see you here lovely. I found the wait for the viability scan to be worse than the 2ww. Stay strong!

OP posts:
TabbyToes · 23/08/2016 13:53

Thanks guys for the kind words.

Nice to hear to hear your scan went well stealth! I had the same experience, very active on the scan and yet you don't always feel much. Do you have an anterior placenta like me?

stealthbanana · 23/08/2016 14:01

Yes it's an anterior placenta tabby. So flutters and swirls but not much else - other than the rib pain!

stealthbanana · 23/08/2016 14:36

Also, I wanted to say to blueroses if you're reading that I am 21+3 today and have been thinking of you all day and what you must have gone through. Am counting my blessings and sending love and strong thoughts to you, I hope you are bearing up ok x

Vixxfacee · 23/08/2016 16:47

Hi Grumpel, I have been lurking on this thread and the fet thread. I found it difficult being on both threads complaining when I felt guilty being pregnant when others have had bad news.
Glad to see little grump is doing so well. I feel like time has gone quickly for yoyou (probably doesn't feel like it for you)!

Stealth fantastic news that stealthini is healthy and active. Seeing his face in 3d must have been amazing. Have you decided on his name yet?

I am 17.5 now. I didn't get a midwife appointment as I had a consultation at 13 weeks where they gave me blood testest results etc. My anomaly scan is on 12th September. I am still as anxious as ever but I have my doppler in which I check for the babies heartbeat every few fews. No movement yet and have a teeny bump that's flat in the morning!

Hi to everyone else.

blue2014 · 23/08/2016 17:05

Vixx I didn't get first movements til 22 weeks, wanted to mention it as so many people were saying they got theirs at 16-20 weeks and it stressed me out. He's a wriggler now though Smile

Vixxfacee · 23/08/2016 17:23

Thank you Blue that's reassuring. What did the first movements feel like?
The Internet is a bad place sometimes. Even looking at peoples bumps and those wearing maternity clothes at 11 weeks!

Borisisback · 23/08/2016 17:58

Vixx first movements for me felt like bubbles popping. I didn't feel consistent definite movements until 23 weeks, what you feel depends on your placenta as much as everything else
