We've got through a whole thread! Hope it's ok that I took the liberty of starting a new one.

Newbies, if you've had fertility treatment and found that it actually worked, this is the thread for you! We're a supportive group of women battling everything from scanxiety to unexplained bleeding, and we generally can't believe this is really happening for us!

First thread is here: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/pregnancy/2584015-Pregnancy-after-infertility

I was really surprised too Sammy as didn't think you'd be able to see anything but I see someone up thread mentioned that over a certain hcg something should be visible so maybe he calculated from my results last week (or maybe it's just standard in this strange country Grin). He thinks he'll see a heartbeat next week but from everything I read, 6wks is generally too soon so I'll try not to get worked up if I don't see it next week. Has your bleeding stopped? I hope so!

loopylou1984 · 26/07/2016 07:14

Yeah, my clinic said you may see heart beat at 6 weeks, and they will scan then if you've had problems, but they caveat it with 'you may have to come back the next week if nothing's visible' So yes, don't panic if no HB.

I'll be 7+4 by my viability scan! It's still 2 weeks away!!!! Gah. I think I'm going insane.
I think I've po100s since my bfp! Is there some kind of addicts group I could join?

Zenzie · 26/07/2016 08:27

Genghis, whereabouts are you?

HP07 · 26/07/2016 15:40

Ahhh lovely news about all the positive scans. I'm very happy. Starting to feel better now too. Still coughing but not as much now.

MrsChrisPratt · 26/07/2016 15:54

Glad you're feeling better Hp and lovely news about the scans.

I am shitting myself (excuse the language!) about tomorrow. Having am earlier than planned scan due to a little spotting on Friday and Saturday. Have convinced myself that all my symptoms have disappeared and the pregnancy is not progressing Sad just so worried about it all...

Grumpelstiltskin · 26/07/2016 19:31

Evening all. You guys have been chatty!

Great scan news zenzie and smurfy, good to hear everything is where it should be genghis and keeping all things crossed for you tomorrow mrschris. Scanxiety is the absolute worst.

HP glad you're feeling better, bronchitis is no fun at all, especially with pregnancy thrown into the mix too!

HopefulKate1980 · 26/07/2016 21:49

Sorry for slowness in replying. Congrats on the scans!!!

Good luck for tomorrow mrschris. Thinking of you. Try not to worry, I know easier said. Lots of people bleed and it's all fine.

Glad you feel better Hp

loopylou1984 · 27/07/2016 07:04

Mrschris - good luck for today, everything crossed for you :)

I braved the clearblue weeks indicator this morning and hallelujah it has gone up to 3+

So random possible symptoms include:
Night sweats, I'm SO hot I've been sleeping in just shorts - not like me at all.

3am waking absolutely starving hungry and having to eat something before I go back to sleep

Are these actual symptoms or am I just weird?

Zenzie · 27/07/2016 10:38

I got the 3am starvation later in my pregnancy, second trimester I think. You definitely sound pregnant!

HP07 · 27/07/2016 11:26

Good luck MrsChris

MrsChrisPratt · 27/07/2016 11:56

Thanks for the well wishes everyone. We just got back from the scan....we saw two heartbeats!!!! Shock

It was very hard for the nurse to see anything as I still have a lot of free fluid in my abdomen due to ohss, but eventually she was able to see the yolk sacs and fetal poles. Said from what they could see everything looks good at the moment, to take it easy, try not to worry (hah!) and relax. Am back next week for another scan. She did say on one the pole looked very small next to the say but that can be normal at this stage and it perhaps just needs to catch up as it's so early and there is nothing for me to worry about. Just hoping it all goes smoothly from now.

They did tell me I'd calculated my dates wrong as well and I'm 5+6, not 6+1 as I'd thought!

Zenzie · 27/07/2016 12:06

Mrs Chris! Wonderful news!

Grumpelstiltskin · 27/07/2016 15:02

Omg Mrschris what amazing news! You must have nearly fallen off the dildocouch!

stealthbanana · 27/07/2016 21:31

Omg amazing news mrschris! Double trouble!

sammy I had the midnight munchies for weeks during the first tri. Then they went away a bit and now they're back. Totally normal and defo a symptom. You're growing a whole little baby in there atm, you need energy to do it!

HP07 · 28/07/2016 06:49

Oh thats lovely news MrsChris, congratulations.

This morning I have woken up to milky patches on my PJ top. I think my colostrum has started to leak overnight!

Hoe is everyone else doing?

HopefulKate1980 · 28/07/2016 08:20

mrschris congratulations!!! Did you have any idea?! What wonderful news.

Hi HP. Are you feeling better?

Constipation reins here. It's been 2 days now and I'm so bloated. The nausea is a battle too. But I've got my 9 week scan on Monday so hoping praying the little one is still beating for us and wriggling away. I'm sure the fear will set in on Sunday night...

Xxx

Vixxfacee · 28/07/2016 08:33

Wow Mrs CHRIS. Congratulations! Twins Shock Grin

HP07 · 28/07/2016 10:05

I'm definitely feeling better than at the weekend thanks but the cough is still lingering especially at nighttime. I keep waking up choking, it's horrible. I think I saw every hour on the clock last night until I gave up and woke up at 6.30am. :(

MrsChrisPratt · 28/07/2016 13:05

Glad you're feeling better HP though it sounds like you're still rough! Definitely go back to the doctor if you're not well by Monday.

Thanks for the congrats everyone -it wasn't too much of a shock, as we put two embryos back and late onset ohss is an indicator of multiples. Dh smugly told me afterwards he already knew 'mans intuition' apparently Grin

I just (like everyone else on this thread) hope hope hope that everything stays where it should, grows as it should etc and it all turns out ok. I kind of wish I could fast forward 8 months and have two babies in my arms. But we'll see. For now I'm just keeping everything crossed.

Smurfy1981 · 28/07/2016 16:10

Sorry on hols at mo and wifi is crap!!! Hopefulkate this was my 3rd scan- lovely to catch up on everyones news x

loopylou1984 · 28/07/2016 17:18

Thank you for verifying my symptoms!

Mrschris - 2 heartbeats!!! Hooray! Congratulations Flowers

Grumpel - LOL at the dildocouch!

HP! How many weeks are you?

Hopeful - I'm with you on the constipation. I'm not that regular anyway, but let's just say things are more difficult now!
Good luck for your scan!

It's still 12 days until my scan, it seems like forever!!!

HP07 · 28/07/2016 17:39

Sammy I'm 32+2 now :)

tillyann2013 · 28/07/2016 17:45

Congrats Chris, that's fabulous news. Men's intuition eh? What are they like!

I've been feeling dreadful for the last week, cold or flu, aching all over and of course nothing to take. But thankfully I feel much better now and almost 100%. Got our booking in app through, wed 3rd and scan is wed 8th. Counting down the hours.

Wizziwoo · 29/07/2016 16:04

Great news on the scan Zenzie such a relief to see the heartbeat eh?

Go MrsChris! Twins...amazing,congrats!!!

HP sorry to hear you are ill

Sammy hang on in there for the scan, it's soooo hard!!

Hopeful go with the lactolose for some relief, it's perfectly safe in pregnancy

Hi to the newbies 😀

AFM spotting finally subsided after a terrifying 10 days, still being monitored weekly and bubs measuring perfectly 8 weeks now thankfully. Have now got the dreaded thrush, gosh it's all so glamorous. Well done on you lot who have managed to DTD... The fear of puking mid-deed is enough to put me off. Poor DH will have to look after himself...it'll be a loooong summer for him bless!

HopefulKate1980 · 29/07/2016 21:44

Thanks wizzi. I have been holding off but it is now getting a bit revolting so I will get some, thanks!

Glad the bleeding has subsided and the bean is measuring the right size. That is such a relief.

I have got my 9 week scan on Monday, the day before my holiday and I am praying for good news so we can go away and actually relax. The last year has been non stop heartache and hell. We never get a break from it, so I am hoping that finally we'll actually have a rest and be able to rejuvenate rather than a battle to even get up and keep going, which is what the last year has been like.

V tired now so off to bed.

Lots of love to you all and happy weekends.

Blueroses if you are reading this, you are in my heart and thoughts
