That's fab teabags :) congrats on a boy 💙💙

thereisnocheese · 01/10/2016 18:09

Congrats teabags.. womble if you are still around, I'm going to pm you regarding the hypothyroidism stuff - I'm just setting up the endocrinologist appointment and wanted to pick your brains so that I get the best out of the appointment. Thanks. Hope everyone else is doing well. Xxx

Womble75 · 01/10/2016 19:53

Hi Cheese Im still here - please feel free to PM anytime.
Teabags congratulations! Mines on 11th Nov so a bit to wait. Midwife next week and going to tackle her about my nausea as its not getting any better and I'm permanently knackered.

thereisnocheese · 04/10/2016 06:23

Thanks Womble, I'm sorry that you are still feeling sick. I have pm's you. Xxx

Womble75 · 05/10/2016 20:30

Cheese have pm'd

Had midwife today. All good. Heard babies heartbeat which was amazing and made it more real for me and really made me feel
Positive for the first time this pregnancy. I cannot help but be so pleased with the care I'm getting here compared with the care I had in London with my DD. It's like a different country.
Nausea seems to be declining (touches wood) but I have a rotten sore throat. Flu jab booked for next week and booked on local confident birth classes as still worried after last time!
How's everyone else getting on?

thereisnocheese · 05/10/2016 23:00

Thanks Womble. So very pleased for you. You must be delighted. Xx

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/10/2016 08:28

Yes doing ok

15w tomorrow. Feel better then what I did but still nauseous all day - tho kinda used to that now lol

But sickness usually less - apart from when at airport and fly and bubs seems to know and sick lots - tho better then on the plane 😷

Womble get help with sickness tablets. No need to feel pooey x

thereisnocheese · 08/10/2016 07:31

Well I've raised my complaints with Pals, CQC and the CEO of my local NHS hospital in regards to maternity, ultrasound and epu services. Had a quick response from.CQC and an email from CEO and the nurse manager for EPAU services. So I feel like it's getting somewhere. Personally I'm not good right now. The loss and grief hitting hard. So my boss has agreed to give me a week off work to give me some time to process. I've registered with a new GP who is sympathetic and has been recommended to me. So I'm hopefully going to find someone who will listen to me. I hope you ladies don't mind me posting here, feels like a safe place. Xx

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/10/2016 00:21

Cheese post where you feel safe and if that's where then fab

I just don't want you to get upset over the pregnancy posts iyswim

Glad you complained 💐

Greenglassteacup · 09/10/2016 10:49

Hello All

Glad to have found you Brew

I'm 7 weeks pregnant and I'm 42. I've got a daughter who's 5 & a half. I've been feeling really sick & exhausted for the last 2 weeks & am finding it hard to get through the working week. I'm counting down the weeks 'til I can have the non-invasive prenatal testing. I feel like I can't let myself think of there being a baby at this stage & I'm in limbo.

JustJaneForNow · 09/10/2016 14:47

Hello everyone - I'm 46 and I've just found out I'm expecting our first baby. I've never been pregnant before and this wasn't planned! We're both in shock, but cautiously excited. Of course I'm worried about everything, especially being older and having no experience.

I just wanted to say hi, and send my best to everyone here. I'm so glad to have found this thread as I don't know anyone in this situation.

Greenglassteacup · 09/10/2016 17:09

Hello Jane BrewCake

Anyone else get cramping that comes & goes?

Greenglassteacup · 09/10/2016 17:10

How many weeks are you Jane?

Helbelle75 · 09/10/2016 17:19

Hi everyone, mind if I join you?
I'm 41 and 14 weeks pregnant. I had mmc back in May and we were lucky to conceive again so quickly.
We'very had a 10 and 12 week scan and everything is looking fine. Screening results are back as 'low chance' for everything. Just keeping everything crossed now.
Has anyone else been told to take Aspirin?

furryminkymoo · 09/10/2016 17:40

Hi can I join in? Six ish weeks. 41. Have 1 DD. We were ttc for 2.5 years and elated at being pregnant but a huge bundle of hormones. Weepy, tired etc.

I went to early pregnancy due to erarratic cycles. I have very high hcg and progesterone. Wondering if it's twins and terrified that it might be Molar. Abroad at mo, have a scan booked for return.

Womble75 · 09/10/2016 18:50

Hi to all the newcomers and congratulations! Smile

Womble75 · 09/10/2016 18:52

Helbelle I've not been told to take aspirin? What reason we're you given?
The "period like" pains in early first trimester are usual and nothing to worry about, along with stretching type pains.

Helbelle75 · 09/10/2016 19:27

I have 2 risk factors for pre-eclampsia. Over 40 and first baby over a certain age- can't remember which age!

Womble75 · 09/10/2016 20:13

Ok. I'm 41 expecting my second. Had my first at 37 but was never told to take it. Guess it must differ - although I am prone to hemmoraging so perhaps that maybe is why. Although looking at the risk factors I tick a few boxes but I guess as I didn't get it last time maybe they aren't concerned?

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/10/2016 20:32

Green - welcome and if sickness is bad ESP as have another older one then see gp and get sickness tablets

They do help but don't cure

Just jane. Wow congrats. Scary but sure all will be fine. How far along are you? I'm 43 and tests came back clear

Hellebelle. Sorry to hear about mc but fab conceived quickly again.

Yes to aspirin as I'm a geriatric (anyone over 37 is) 🙄😉😱😂 mum and also as had blood clot 10yrs ago - plus first baby over 40 - if you tick 2 boxes then should be on aspirin as a precaution - that's what I was told by mw and paediatrician

Furrymink. Congrats. Scan should show 2 sacs or 2 placentas if twins and not identical

I was so sick early days that I thought one spilt into two as had ivf and one back in. Thankfully for me was just one and hg

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/10/2016 17:36

Just seen mw for 16w check

Heard bubs 💓💓💓 with a Doppler . still a relief but wow every time I hear heart - nice to know all ok

Ketones are 2. Need to eat and drink more - tho iron is good as is bp and weight as losing - tho obv not a good reason I'm losing by being sick lol

Have 16w scan Wednesday private as for me it's too long to wait till 20. Lady on phone said she couldn't guarantee the sex and not to take what they say for sure

I said I didn't want the sex at this scan. Just wanted to see abs hear bubs and she seemed quite taken back as said normally people moan for 16w as want to know the sex and they don't like saying till 20w

I said just want to see bubs and she was awwww bless you - big brother of 28 is coming as he wants to share our experience. TBH he has really surprised me how supportive and how much he wants this baby - be half sibling as df his dad and I'm the wicked step mummy 😂

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/10/2016 23:38

How are all the oldies 😬

All ok here. Had 16w scan and lovely to see and hear bubs

Had normal scan and also 4d bubs looks like an alien

Womble75 · 15/10/2016 13:16

I'm doing ok - had the flu jab this week and had a reaction which I never usually do. 3 day migraine which was not pleasant Hmm bought myself a home Doppler which is great and helps reassure me a lot.
DH away at trade show since Thursday so been trying to take it easy with a hyperactive 3 1/2 year old lol.

Greenglassteacup · 17/10/2016 19:32

Week 8 private scan. Its dead. They will refer me to the epu to be seen on sat to talk about getting it out of me.

Helbelle75 · 17/10/2016 20:09

Oh greenglass, so sorry. Look after yourself. This happened to me in May, take your time to grieve
