Greenglass I'm so sorry. I've had this too more than I care to remember. Please look after yourself and allow yourself time. Xx

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/10/2016 21:56

greengrass so sorry. Thinking of you 😢💐💓💐😢

Russkispy · 19/10/2016 11:13

Greengrass, so sorry to hear your news! Please look after yourself!
This is the worst nightmare that can happen to any of us. Sending you big hugs.
I'm new on this thread, gradually moving from TTC over 35. I'm 40, DP41. After 5 months trying naturally we decided for a little push and had a medicated IUI a few weeks ago (abroad) and I'm now 5+2. Still can't believe it! Booked an early scan in a couple of weeks. ( privately). NHS midwife will call in week 9-10. Got sore boobs from a few weeks back, waking up around 2-3-4 or 5am every morning and struggle with going back to sleep. This week us mainly around 2am. Feeling gassy and bloated now and again but no other symptoms as far as I know. Been having acupuncture twice a month since May. But now she's changed treatment as I'm now pregnant. It's our #1.
How's everyone else doing/feeling? Just want to talk with someone being in the same boat. I don't have mum anymore, and feeling lonely. My friends are older with kids or live abroad. It would be nice to chat and maybe meet. Anyone from Kent?

Bloopbleep · 24/10/2016 10:28

Joining somewhat prematurely. Got my bfp yesterday but wary of relaxing. I'm 41 and a regular on the ttc threat

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/10/2016 14:33

Yah you are back but boo been a regular as obv means you have had mc 💓💐

This thread has been quiet recently

I'm still plodding along. 18w on thur. Almost half way there. Weird and still don't believe I'm finally pregnant at 43 tho the sickness huge boobs and fact I can't fit into most of my clothes must mean it's real x

Bloopbleep · 24/10/2016 16:50

Hey Blondes only had the one mc in Jan and absolutely bugger all since. This bfp was totally unexpected. I've always felt pg before but this time I just felt really crampy like af was about to come. My boobs feel like they've done a round with Tyson today and nausea on and off but absolutely terrified of something going wrong.

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/10/2016 17:00

I did weekly acupuncture to try and prevent mc

Obv will never know if it helped but as taken 10yrs to get preg and 5 ivf I was willing to try anything

So did it weekly at a cost of £50 Each session

Helbelle75 · 24/10/2016 17:51

Congratulations bloop.
I'mean the same blondes. Can'the quite believe it but 16 weeks and definitely showing!

Wombletor · 25/10/2016 09:06

Hi
I'm 43 and just got a bfp. I have a history of recurrent miscarriage, although with treatment I had my little boy last November. I am sort of shocked and elated and I know that today I have to start the ball rolling to get prescriptions for meds and a referral. I also know its only a small chance that I'll stay pregnant. Anyway, I wanted to share my news (as I won't be sharing the news with anyone except the husband). Congrats to everyone else.

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/10/2016 09:41

Hellebelle - weird isn't it. I kinda look preg in some clothes - or just plump in others as size 16ish

Womble. Congrats and good luck. Are you taking aspirin daily? Plus try acupuncture

Keeping all crossed for you

Wombletor · 25/10/2016 10:00

Blondeshavemorefun, thanks :-) Not aspirin, steroids, heparin and cyclogest. I have some left over from last time, expired a few months ago but will do until my Dr gives me a prescription.

Do any of you take aspirin?

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/10/2016 10:32

I was advised to take aspirin daily 75g - plus have heparin due to blood clot 10yrs ago

Obv did take cyglest and progynova till Think 13w and weaned off them last two weeks before stopping rather then go cold turkey

That's what my clinic advised where as others on ivf they got Ros to just stop aybweek 12

I was too wary. Still am TBH x

Wombletor · 25/10/2016 12:02

Blondes, I was the same in my last pregnancy, was advised to stop steroids at 12 weeks, I was so worried that I gradually tapered them over 3 weeks! Same with the cyclogest. I know how you feel, I was wary until I'd given birth!

Did you have period like pains at the very beginning? I'm only 3 days overdue, but feel like my period is going to start. I know it wasn't that long ago that I was in this position, but I can't remember.

ChristmasSeacow · 25/10/2016 14:44

Feeling almost too superstitious to post... got BFP yesterday, just 4 weeks along. Had MC back in July so can't quite feel thrilled yet. Am 41, have 4-yr old DS.

Just don't know what to do with myself! Don't want to think about it too much, but can't stop thinking about it. Eek.

Bloopbleep · 25/10/2016 15:07

Hey christmas I'm the same and somewhat obsessing while trying to take my mind off it. Past two days have been slowest ever.

Should I be taking aspirin ? I see so many women taking it and cyclogest but I've never been offered anything like it with previous pg.

Russkispy · 25/10/2016 15:57

Congratulations wombletor, bloop and Christmas.

I've been taken aspirin 75mg since May/June. My acupuncturist advised me. I'm still having issues with my sleep since I found out I was pregnant. Had my acupuncture session today and she advised against any remedies against it, especially in the first trimester. I'm so so tired of waking up around 3-4am. It takes me ages to go back to sleep. So having cat naps during the day. No nausea or morning sicknesses, or food aversions. Really hope it won't hit me. I still can't believe I'm pregnant. I can't describe it but think it's not me which clearly is! I'm 6+1 today and got our early scan in 2 weeks.

ChristmasSeacow · 25/10/2016 15:59

Hi Bloop, I saw we are pretty much in synch! Fingers crossed all round.

No idea about aspirin. I didn't even tell my GP last time when I was pregnant and miscarried as it was so early (5+4) and I knew there wasn't anything they would do. Not sure when to actually contact the GP this time?!

I think I will definitely book some private scans to supplement the NHS ones. I am not sure if I will get extra scans due to my age - I see some do on here but it probably varies by area.

ChristmasSeacow · 25/10/2016 16:03

Ruskippy, the not sleeping Is brutal. I woke at 3 and couldn't get back to sleep. This happened a lot in my last pregnancy, ug.

Bloopbleep · 25/10/2016 18:34

Thankfully I rarely sleep a full night so insomnia doesn't bother me too much. That said I've slept brilliantly the past three nights except for obligatory peeing. Long may that continue.

Sorry womble * forgot to say hello/congrats :)

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/10/2016 18:39

No period pains but due to ivf and era I haven't had a period since may

I have no problem sleeping. Sleep very well 😴😴 tho suffering from hg and sick /nauseous all the time

Russkispy · 25/10/2016 22:28

The acupuncturist said the sleep will eventually be better after the first trimester. Do you agree? Was your sleep better past first trimester? The last long sleep through the night I had wS on the 8th October! We were in Barcelona, I was full of beans, walked miles! Landed in the U.K. On the 10th, did my HCG and progesterone blood tests and got results after 3 hours. And after that everything went down the hill. My sleep and energy! The switch happened so fast, without any warnings! That's why, I think, I still can't believe, I'm pregnant!
I'll definitely have private scans in between the NHS ones.

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/10/2016 22:53

I slept well regardless and as felt so crap 6/7am/1pm I would stay in bed and doze

Then slept well at night - apart from the nights I work

So not much help. Sorry

ChristmasSeacow · 25/10/2016 23:09

It didn't get better but I was in a v stressful
job at the time with v long hours so I am sure that was a big contributing factor - I'd wake up to wee and then lie awake fretting. I was surprised to feel like that last night when I don't have a scary job to fret about - but I think I will be much more relaxed if I get past 12 weeks so maybe sleep will improve then?!

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/10/2016 04:05

Welcome Christmas. I have extra scans but as I flagged up various stuff - older mum - first baby over 4o - ivf and dvt 10yrs ago

Ask your mw if you can have extra

Wombletor · 26/10/2016 08:59

Congrats everyone! Bloop and Christmas Russ, I am waking in the night without being woken ( I have a poor sleeping almost1 year old) and its taking forever to go back to sleep. I remember being like this in previous pregnancies, pregnancy insomnia is a killer!
