Congratulations littlebee! Smile

ChristmasSeacow · 28/03/2017 09:53

Hooray LittleBee that must feel amazing. I am impressed you persevered for so long - seriously. 2 years of ttc really took its toll on me emotionally, never mind 18.

24 we must indeed be close - I go there to soft play etc from time to time too, it's about 15 mins from me! That's the exact place I had my scan this time, sonographer was lovely. I also had the Harmony test through them at 10 weeks, which involved another scan.

user1490174334 · 28/03/2017 12:59

Congrats little bee! :)

Gizmojo · 28/03/2017 13:57

Congrats, littlebee and welcome other new ladies, too!

Christmas and 24, I must be near you, too - also had my harmony test done at the mothercare in Edmonton, which I'm also about 15 mins away. Small world, eh?!

Shortbread74 · 28/03/2017 21:39

congratulations little bee, you must be over the moon! I would be. I have been ttc for about a year and it's turned me into an obsessive googler. I no longer read books or listen to music, all my spare time is spent looking up pregnancy facts and patting my boobs to check that they still feel sore.
When I wiped this morning I had a small strand of brown mucus and thought my breasts felt less sore than yesterday. I went to my GP in a panic. He sent me to the early pregnancy unit and they found a sac and yolk but no Fetal pole or heartbeat yet. They asked me to come back next week, saying it was perfectly normal not to see a Fetal pole at 5w 4d.

When did everyone see the Fetal pole and a heartbeat? I feel worried because when I had my CP the first sign was stained mucus. Having said that I've not had any thing since the incident this morning.

ChristmasSeacow · 28/03/2017 23:26

I saw it at my scan at 7 weeks (private scan, I managed to hold off until 7 w as I know they may not see it earlier and it would worry me! It's supposed to be possible to see at 6-7 weeks but not always visible.

Giz blimey it is a small world! Remind me how far along you are? I will be scrutinising people there now looking for you and 24 Grin

I had a bad nights sleep yesterday because baby wasn't moving as much as usual when I got into bed. I lay awake for ages worrying about it, although didn't go in because she was still moving a bit from time to time. Normal service has now been resumed.

No Blondes updates, maybe her induction has come round?!

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/03/2017 12:21

Gizmojo · 29/03/2017 12:54

Ah, congrats blondes!! Lovely news xx Flowers Flowers Flowers

Christmas, I'm 24 weeks, so just a couple behind you I think? Are you going to Whipps? I'm with Homerton - mostly as the EPAU there was so good and I saw them a couple of times at the start.

shortbread I had my first scan at 6+2 and there was just a sac and a teeny tiny dot but they couldn't confirm a fetal pole and there was no heartbeat. Went back at 8+2 and saw a little bean with a good heartbeat. I also had some orangey/brown mucus at around the time of the first scan and it was fine. I think it was bloop who said to me at the time that she'd been told it was normal (forget what the explanation was - implantation of the placenta maybe??).

GreedyDuck · 29/03/2017 16:27

Hello everyone, I've been lurking for a while. I'm 43 and 9+3 after a mmc at Christmas. I also have a 2yo dd.

Had a couple of scans already at the EPU, due to anxiety as my last mc was so recent, all looking ok so far.

Confirming that NE London is awash with geriatric mothers-to-be, I am also about 15 mins away from Edmonton Babybond and planning to have my Harmony test there in a couple of weeks.

Teabagtits · 29/03/2017 17:23

Congratulations blondes and welcome to the world babyblondes. :)

PingusMistress · 29/03/2017 18:08

booox · 29/03/2017 19:06

Welcome greedy!

I'm really flagging. Two days of ofsted and I'm swollen like a balloon and utterly exhausted. I'm pretty sure I need to be on more thyroxine but test on Friday. Have my booking on friday!

Iusuallylovecake · 29/03/2017 20:56

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/03/2017 21:22

Thanks all 💓👶🏼💓

@bee. Congrats. I ttc for 10yrs and finally got the jackpot after 5 private ivf and baby born yesterday

ChristmasSeacow · 29/03/2017 23:08

Ha Blondes I knew it! Congratulations! Hope you are enjoying all the snuggles and get to go home soon. And may your ankles return to their normal size soon! Great that you managed to avoid a c section by the sound of it - much quicker recovery time.

Giz yes Whipps. I am not thrilled but had quite a speedy Labour the first time and so don't dare go further afield. I hear Homerton is good.

What's with the big Edmonton Mothercare posse? Maybe we should have a Costa meet up some time!

My SPD is really ramping up. I am in pain when I walk anywhere now and I know from last time it will only get worse. I normally walk 15 mins each way to collect DS from nursery but now I am driving Blush. It hurts to walk and I simply can't keep up with Scooter Boy. I think the next 13weeks are going to be very trying!

Teaspoon74 · 29/03/2017 23:09

Huge congrats Blondes!!

Welcome Greedy! There seem to be a cluster of you guys around Edmonton!

& welcome Bee!!

Thanks for the workshop tip Shortbread.

GreedyDuck · 30/03/2017 08:42

Sorry, in the excitement of de-lurking I forgot to say a massive congratulations on the safe arrival of babyblondes! I bet it feels pretty surreal after waiting so long, enjoy the snuggles.

I am dreading the return of SPD Christmas (great username btw), I've been working out with a trainer since last summer in an expensive, and probably futile, attempt to avoid it this time around. No idea how I'll cope with dd once it starts.

Out of interest, anyone who has had the Harmony at Babybond, how long did your results take to come through? We were at the FMC last time and I think it was about a week. Just wondering if it's sped up at all.

Gizmojo · 30/03/2017 09:24

Welcome Greedy. We had ours between Christmas and new year, so they told us it would probably be slow but was actually six days. I think it can be quicker than that but not sure.

You're right, Christmas, we should have a coffee morning! Grin

Teabagtits I'm dying to know your alter ego!

ChristmasSeacow · 30/03/2017 17:58

And cake Giz, don't forget cake 🐷

My harmony took about 5 days I think - bloods taken on the Sunday, results Friday morning. The turnaround time doesn't vary by where you have it because all tests are done in one U.K. Lab anyway and that is the slow bit. (They don't drag their heels, I believe the testing process necessarily takes a few days).

Greedy I am finding it much harder this time around precisely because of DS. He's pretty good, bless him, but there is still more lifting, bending, walking that is unavoidable. And just standing from a sitting position is a struggle... my heart sinks a bit when he says 'I need a help!' . 12 weeks to go, no idea how I will survive! suspect I will be giving up housework at least

Gizmojo · 30/03/2017 19:13

Cake goes without saying, surely? Wink Cake

winnietherpooh · 30/03/2017 19:16

Hello, may I join?

Recently found out I'm expecting in November and I turned 40 this year.

So I suppose I qualify for this thread!

bee that's very inspiring news congratulations!

Gizmojo · 30/03/2017 21:40

Just realised we are nearly at the limit aren't we?! Made a new thread here: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/pregnancy/2891556-Pregnant-at-40-and-over-thread-4?watched=1

Canrt · 03/04/2017 07:39

Hi ladies,
Well first midwife appointment today (I'm 6w/3d) but the brown discharge I've been having over the last 4 days is now of this morning is pink and I'm cramping and in pain.. I know brown discharge is normal, I had a bit with DD1 but that was 10 years ago.. I couldn't remember being in pain. Should I go to the Hosp and ask for a scan? Appt not until 2pm.. and midwife phone lines not open until 10am.. xx
