My 12wk scan all ok too. Measured me at 13 wks which matched my dates so due 26 March. Nuchal fold was 1.5 so all
Positive. Just waiting on bloods.
Strong heartbeat, 2 arms 2 legs and all looked good. Such a relief!
20 wk scan on 11/11 with flu and whooping cough jab so I feel I can relax just a bit.
Congrats Blondes Smile

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/09/2016 14:50

Yah. Glad all ok Womble

Also had antal app. That's more complicated

Antal app was Coz I had a dvt years ago. And ivf preg and over 37 I am now a higher risk

Been put on heparin injections for rest of preg due to dvt

Also as I had a cone biopsy years ago for cancerous cells and cervical dilation twice due to the old method of above (scaring)

they now will need to check my cervix regularly to make sure not too narrow and possibly need a stitch to hold cervix together

Said I will have more regular scans and check ups due to dvt and cervix. Lovely doctor. Nice to know will be well looked after xx

thereisnocheese · 20/09/2016 17:10

So pleased to hear that your scans went well Blondes and Womble, you must be delighted. Xx

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/09/2016 20:44

Yes overjoyed but still don't really believe I'm preg .

How are you doing? 💐💐💐💐

thereisnocheese · 21/09/2016 21:55

I remember that feeling. Sure you will be fine this time Blondes. I'm sure of it! I'm ok. Had to go back to docs today as lots of pain. Turns out I've got a bit of a blood clot so my body is trying to get rid of it. On three different types of meds to resolve it. Contraction style pains. Sore!

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/09/2016 22:14

Blood clot doesn't sound good. I had a dvt years ago

Are you on fragmin injections?

thereisnocheese · 21/09/2016 22:25

He described it as a clot but it's in my womb and my body is trying to expel it. So got antibiotics, aspirin and strong painkillers. No injections at this point.

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/09/2016 09:52

Hope disapeers soon 💐💐

thereisnocheese · 22/09/2016 14:23

Yes me too! Having contraction style pains which is not a lot of fun. But enough of my complaints. How are the rest of you lovely ladies getting on...Womble, I think I pm'd you but I might have not done it right!

Womble75 · 22/09/2016 15:10

Cheese I didn't realise I couldn't see pm's on mobile app! Blush
So sorry I'll log on laptop later and reply.
I'm sorry things are still dragging on for you. Xx

zelda200 · 22/09/2016 17:49

Hi Cheese - so sorry to hear about what happened. Just wanted to say I had the same thing in October (aged 44), and am now pregnant again (naturally) (aged 45) and everything appears normal. I am 16 weeks now, so not out of the woods completely, but there is hope, if you are trying again.

I went to a nutritionist specialising in fertility and I think it might have made a big difference - I ate lots of fish and cruciferous vegetables (broccoli etc) and took lots of vitamins (esp Co-Q10, 200 mg 3x a day) - for 3+ months before I conceived this time. I could PM you her name if you're interested. Best wishes!

ps. I also had a blood clot - try getting your legs waxed - mine came out just after that!

thereisnocheese · 22/09/2016 22:14

Wow. Leg waxing is miraculous! We will try again but not for a few months I think. So far I'm really good at getting pregnant quickly - I know I'm really lucky so I'm going to focus on getting back to full strength. Getting this sodding house sale/ buy/ renovation out of the way I think.xx

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/09/2016 09:17

Tests come back clear for downs. Obv glad bubs doesn't have but if they did wouidnt have made a diff to us and would have carried on with pregnancy

I know it's every woman choice but on local FB page a lady said she was going to terminate as test came back high risk - my friends girl has downs and is the sweetest child ever - couldn't imagine having an abortion just as test was high

Trying hard not to judge her tho know I am :( sorry - it's her first child as well and she's early 30's - so not if she has other siblings to consider

Am I bad to feel like this :(

Womble75 · 25/09/2016 16:42

Cheese I have finally replied so sorry!

thereisnocheese · 27/09/2016 21:40

Thanks Womble I picked up your message tonight. Really helpful, thanks so much... Xx

thereisnocheese · 27/09/2016 21:49

Good news blondes, hope everything keeps looking good for you. :-)

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/09/2016 12:22

Doing ok thanks. Amazingly liking the sun on holiday tho head must be in shade where as hated past few hot weeks at home

Hope everyone ok

saminus · 28/09/2016 17:22

Hi beegee3
I share your shock - 42 (and a bit) and just coming to terms with being around 8.5 wks gone. No kids. Didn't plan on having kids. All a bit overwhelming.
And I never knew my boo s could hurt so much!!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/09/2016 18:01

Yes boobs were very sore in early days. Nipples very sensitive

DF said I complained in the 2ww wait of sore boobs and hoped it was as preg

saminus · 28/09/2016 18:16

Thanks blondes. So nice to know not alone / unusual. Have been going a bit mad looking stuff up online and not feeling I can talk to anyone in RL yet.

Had a cup of tea on Sunday and it tasted of kipper. Teary all the time. So much weird stuff going on!

And so very worried and in need of someone in a white coat to tell me it'll be ok.

Wouldn't think I was a professional, competent, successful woman Confused

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/09/2016 18:32

Yes emotional and tastes changing is all normal

I only drink water now as don't fancy tea. Hate coffee. Coke we makes me heave - well most things do 😂😂

Do you have any friends /dp you can talk to?

thereisnocheese · 28/09/2016 18:46

Boobs being sore very good sign. Also things giving you the heave. And very very particular tastes. You will be fine. Parenting and pregnancy is terrifying and brilliant all at the same time.

saminus · 28/09/2016 18:55

Thanks blondes and cheese.
All very unexpected.

Not really been drinking for a couple of weeks and just unsure what to do next.
Finally managed to speak to my GP surgery today... Who told me that they don't deal with pregnancy any more and gave me an answerphone number for local NHS Trust midwifery service. Left message and not had a call back.

I've read i should have tests for sickle cell and thalassaemia before week 10, and stuff about folic acid and Vit D, but at the moment I feel like I won't get any clinician help for weeks!

I know we can make it work, it's the viability and all the unknown stuff that is keeping me awake at night.

I do have a good mate I could talk to but she's just gone through an awful time (MC) and I really don't want to throw this at her at the moment.

OH being great tho. I am v lucky Grin

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/09/2016 16:57

14w today :) 26 to go or probably 25 as likely to be induced

teabagsmummy · 29/09/2016 21:21

Hi not been on for a while welcome to all the newbies. I'm 22 weeks now and feeling so much better. I had my scan on Monday and I'm having another little boy I'm so excited, just need to think of names both me and dh agree on!
