@womble. We feel the same tho no mc , but first whiff of a preg in almost 11yrs so not risking anything happening to bubs

So be over cautious. No hot baths. No goats cheese /pate etc

40e here but look huge !!!!

35/4 @womble? I'm
35 tomorrow so we are close - Also being beaten /kicked to death by bubs.

Wise words from @christmas

@teaspoon - shush about dtd. I'm just jealous .......

@mighty mouse. Size is not everything 😂😂 in boobs or bum

And even better lady garden all neat and tidy and waxed - if I do end up having a cs I didn't want to be shaved

And yes leg is up a lot but also need to walk about as well.

They are swelling more :( I have seriously fat feet 😢😱 finding all shoes tight now

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/02/2017 22:22

Cankles 😢😢😢😢

Ha, love the boob talk! Mighty just remember that more than a handful is a waste Wink.

I just had to google Ned Flanders Grin

Teaspoon I am also a bit jealous. Might give it a whirl this weekend, though DH will wonder what has come over me (no pun intended).

Blondes those ankles look uncomfortable. Not long to go now though.

I am getting pelvic girdle pain, which I had last time. Not fun and will only get worse. On top of which, I had a vaginal prolapse after DS which will probably need surgery but they wouldn't do it until my family is complete. Pregnancy is making it worse so for now I have to put up with the horrible feeling that my innards are falling out when I put my body under certain kinds of pressure. I have to be very careful with squatting and lifting and not getting constipated . All a bit grim.

I won't be able to reach my toes soon to maintain my nails and shave my big toes . I asked my sister if she would paint my nails and she said she wouldn't go 'anywhere near those trotters'. Rude!

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/02/2017 23:59

HAvnt manager to reach my trotters 😂 For months. I pay a lovely lady £20 to come to file and gel polish and they last a good 8w as toe nails grow slow

So a bargain. Couldn't bear the thought of legs in stirrups and bad painted toes

And yes feet ache :(

ChristmasSeacow · 23/02/2017 08:07

I need a foot lady. I have only ever had a pedicure once (when heavily pregnant last time) and it wasn't a great success. The lady cut my toenails fat too short into the sides and smudges it anyway! Won't be going back there... would be nice to have someone come to the house. I shall ask around.

No swollen feet but I do have fluid retention in my hands. My fingers are like sausages in the morning though they improve through the day. Rings are all a bit tight.

Gosh, I sound like such a catch!

ChristmasSeacow · 23/02/2017 08:08

Have you given up work yet Blondes?

Womble75 · 23/02/2017 08:40

Can I have a moan? I've had chronic heartburn and upper backache since Sunday with trapped wind. No sleep. Had consultant midwife yesterday and was feeling so sick and in so much pain she got me into my GP for urgent appointment. This was after ruling out anything to do with baby.
BP was fine, urine fine, they have taken bloods but couldn't get any from arms so ended up with them doing it from my hand Confused I'd been there since 8.30 and it was gone 11 and I hadn't eaten so veins were hiding.
Toddled off to GP to be told it's chronic heartburn and reflux with my back pain being a secondary thing or something. Can't give me anything for pain as can't have anti immflammatories whilst pregnant so just to have gaviscon. Seriously how is heartburn so painful?? I had no idea. She said it will go when baby arrives.. Hmm apparently he's squashing all my digestive organs. I've had to sleep upright on eleventy billion pillows.
On the plus side my birth plan is done and filed with hospital so positive about that and again they are adamant I can do it all as naturally as possible. She does reckon I'll go past due date though as 2nd babies are usually a week earlier than first but hoping the reflexology I've booked in a few weeks will help kick start things.
Sorry for the essay was feeling a bit sorry for myself this morning!
Hope everyone else is doing ok!

Bloopbleep · 23/02/2017 08:57

Womble moan away! you could ask for omeprazole that would help much better than gaviscon in the long run and I'm sure it's fine in pregnancy. It could be your gallbladder acting up - for me that starts with awful heartburn then turns into back pain. You have my sympathies there's not much worse! Ice cream can also help with inflammation (as long as you're ok with dairy) - well that's what my daughter tries to convince me of!

giz HH? Bloody hell! I'm terrified mine get bigger as I can't afford the large sized bras for a few months use.

I was just about to call MAU as jellybean (dd named him this) hadn't been kicking the past few days but he's just alerted me to his presence so I'm relieved I don't have to traipse out in the snow to the hospital. Already walked dd to breakfast club in snow and had to strip off in the hall on my return I was so wet.

Teaspoon74 · 23/02/2017 10:24

Bloop - I'd normally be envious of the snow, but. It at the mo. Hope you're kitted out with grippy boots!! And glad jellybean is on the love again. Found out yesterday that my little Bic is currently breach - which explains the uterus river-dance I've been feeling for past few weeks!!

Womble - poor you! Heartburn is a bastard, isn't it?! Have been trying to get by on water but increasingly struggling to sleep so will have to have something. Gavin on ain't working and feel ridiculous going to GO for heartburn mess, but not sure what else o can do!

Good news on your birth plan. Is it normal to do it around now? I asked the registrar I saw yesterday from my obs' team and he seemed to suggest I'd be discussing it with the consultant team at wk36 which feels a bit late when they're talking about an induction at 38wks.... but what do I know?!?

Mighty - saluting backatchya- us geriatrics/jurassics/ pensioners gotta stick together Wink

Blondes- omg. Not great at all the personal grooming stuff at the best of times tbh... generally pick my shellac off as can't get back to the salon and takes a bit of root to remind me to sort my colour out. God only knows what/ when I need to do to sort toes and lady garden.

And will confess to being a bit worried about underarms, tash etc when in hossie if overnighting... (the joys of being older!). Anyone been through it before and got tips?

Womble75 · 23/02/2017 11:15

Teaspoon I'm almost 36 weeks so about the right time. Given what happened to me last time (different trust) they have bent over backwards to make sure I feel reassured and they then file it at hospital and with labour line so when I call someone can access it straightaway. I'm seeing consultant at 38 weeks to plan how to manage if I go near to due date. Induction is something I'm not 100% happy about doing again but they have promised me a more involved process and seem to think it will be better second time around.
Bloop I have gallbladder issues (been in A&E twice this pregnancy) and it def wasn't gallbladder pain - wrong place for me although the pain was def comparable! They were loathe to prescribe due to so many medications interacting with my thyroxine so said to try gaviscon double action for now. Seems to be helping a touch so will see how it goes.
Baby is all ok so that's a plus. He's where he should be and bouncing in and out my pelvis so as long as he's happy that's a blessing. Consultant midwife told me not to take much notice of growth scans and predictions as unreliable and that statistically he should be same build etc as my daughter but prob add a lb as boys generally bigger. Had a feel and she said he's def a long baby rather than a chubber lol which is the same as DD was so feeling a bit less Shock about getting a whopper out! She said he's really taking a lot of room up and all in the front hence the organ squishing. Just can't wait to meet him.

Bloopbleep · 23/02/2017 12:30

womble I took omepeazole alongside levoT for years. Some meds need about four hours spacing between taking them so you could take thyroxine in morning and omeprazole at dinner time.

Womble75 · 23/02/2017 14:12

Bloop I'm on two doses a day of iron supplements as well as anaemic which interferes with levo so GP would rather me carry on with that than trying to fit omeprozole in as well. Confused I'll just persevere with the gaviscon I guess. Man that stuff tastes bad!

Bloopbleep · 23/02/2017 14:37

You should be able to fit it all in. I've been on iron myself and was never warned about any interaction with levothyroxine. you're clearly comfortable with what you're taking so I'll leave it there

Womble75 · 23/02/2017 15:25

Yeah I have to leave 4 hours from Levo to first dose iron then 4 hours to next. It inhibits absorption of levo. Anyways hopefully only a few more weeks to go and will be over!! Smile
Hope everyone is ok in these winds? Our areas Facebook page is full of peoples trampolines making escapes from gardens and trees down!

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/02/2017 15:47

@sea you sound as an attractive as me Grin

use gel,it wont smudge or chip and looks fab for weeks

you may not wash hair/brush teeth etc but will have nice toes,a professional will file

if you are on a local fb group, as if anyone does gel tes and cme to your house, costs £20/25

and yes iven up work, shattered, and people look at mybump and worry i will go into labour

hands are ok, ring not tight but you saw my ankles ....

@womble , moan away, its hard being preg in 40's, i totally understand about heartburn, get thr a bottle a week of liquid, luckily all on prescripton

@bloop snow???where are you? been windy here (apart from me) Grin

@teaspoon , sameas, bubs keeps tuning and sures gone back there as either headbutting me if in right position or is kicking, and god some of therm are awww/wow thats hard

i have razor for underarms and need to sort hairout before bubs is born, not really blonde at mo

more darkrootswithgreyhavemorefun ........

i dont really have a plan, know want drugs, why on earth would i want to be in pain and martyas like some of my friends

also dont really want a cs but also want bubs out safely so have said if they advise me to have one then i will

df to cut cord

i like the taste of gaviscon, have mint

Teaspoon74 · 23/02/2017 17:04

Thanks Womble - that's reassuring. Can I ask why you'd prefer not to induce again? I've heard it's more painful but need to look into details a bit more.

Blondes - so much to plan for Confused

ChristmasSeacow · 23/02/2017 19:26

Teaspoon I am a bit confused as to why being in hospital overnight is an issue for armpits and tash (though I fear that says more about me than anything! Grin). A day or two's growth isnt too bad, is it? I will defo have to up the frequency of shaving near my due date so I don't get caught out with a ferocious pit growth though. I am tidy down below (ie it's not rampaging down my legs) but I don't wax it all off. I gather most people do these days so that'll probably give the midwife a shock. Still, as long as I have nice toenails! (thanks for the gel tip Blondes)

I am eating tonnes of rennie's for heartburn. I think Gaviscon is more effective but I really dislike it. I will probably have to get over that because it is ramping up. There is a version of gaviscon (is it the double action?) that feels as though it covers your teeth in a layer of plastic. That is gross stuff.

Bloop I think I have some L or LL cup
Bras from the end of my last pregnancy. They are just ridiculous, and only required for a few months so a hefty expense too. I was posting on a weight loss thread after DS's birth that I had shrunk out of my 34LL cup bras and I got a PM from a male member of Mumsnet offering to buy my used giant bras off me for £80 each. Ideally not freshly washed HmmGrin

Womble75 · 23/02/2017 19:51

Well it turns out the heartburn has been masking my gallbladder flaring up. Just been to emergency Drs who called the obstetrics consult. I've been given buscopan with strict instructions if not subsided by 10pm I'm to call labour line to be admitted and they will decide what to do. I'm absolutely shitting it now. DD gone off to mum and dads and I totally lost it when she went.
They can't give me anything for the pain. Seriously fed up now. Sitting watching the clock here. Confused

Iusuallylovecake · 23/02/2017 20:48

Oh no womble, really hope what they have given you works. At least they seem on top of it and are keeping an eye on you. Nothing worse than clock watching, sending hugs.

I'm definitely going to have to sort the personal grooming, usually a quick whizz around with a razor although legs are rarely super smooth esp in winter!!! Really don't want spiky legs when in hospital!!! Hate people touching my feet so I'll have to be bare toed as there is no way I'll be able to reach!!!

I always thought I was at the larger end on knockers but not in the same league as you ladies!!! Not attempting to enter the race as F cup seems a little pathetic!!!

Hope everyone's fences/houses/trees are in one piece after today!!!

Teaspoon74 · 23/02/2017 21:14

Christmas - wowzers on the bra bid! Did you take him up on it?!? Reminds me of the vending machines in Japan where they (allegedly) sell used pants... bleurgh!

The shaving thing is more about being taken unawares tbh... though everything is growing faster ATM!!!

Womble75 · 24/02/2017 01:52

Well been admitted Sad bloods taken, given morphine and will go for scan on liver in morning. Just kicked DH out to get some rest. I'm nil by mouth ATM. Baby fine though. So so fed up and scared.

mightymouse76 · 24/02/2017 05:11

Womble that's awful, I really hope the scans solve it and you're back home and comfortable soon. Try not to be scared- much safer to be admitted and observed. I hope you manage to get some rest, and keeping fingers crossed for you x

Iusuallylovecake · 24/02/2017 06:48

Poor you Womble, you are in the best place to make sure you and bubs stay safe. Hope you've managed to get some rest and are feeling a little more comfortableFlowers

ChristmasSeacow · 24/02/2017 07:51

Oh goodness Womble. Well, others have said it but it's true that you're in the best place. Fingers crossed all is okay with the scan today. Impossible not to worry, I know, but I always try not to worry about things I can't control. chin up Flowers

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/02/2017 08:45

Awww @womble. Know it's scary but def in right place. If nil by mouth do they think you may need cs /erm gallbladder op?

Hope you are ok 💐💐

Also had a scare Yesterday. Bubs wasn't kicking and been quiet afternoon /early evening - rang triage and as 35w they said come in asap as possibility placenta was failing hence not kicking (not that they told me that till plugged and heard heart )

Luckily live 10mins from hospital and strapped me up again and first couldn't find bubs heart which was awful but found in the end and the little bugger was moving about as can hear all movement as she is swishing about but not kicking etc

Needless to say was in tears and then once been monitored for an hour they said all was fine

Once unplugged Then bubs started kicking. Why couldn't she have done that earlier 🙄😡😢

Anyway panic over. She's moving today but there will be less space for her to kick etc as is a porker baby But they will remonitor me at the weekend for reassurance

Hope everyone else ok
