Shirking. Mother Nature didn't play ball with me. Wanted to be 33 not 43 but 10yrs ttc and 5 private ivf we finally got there :)

Df didn't come with me to booking app but lots of men did with their partners

As long as you can answer his medical health questions then not a prob

Bubs almost 25w. Finally moved and on her back and legs over her shoulders. With Right hand holding right leg

Blondes I was never asked about my partners medical background at either booking appointment. Do they usually ask?

mightymouse76 · 12/12/2016 12:37

Lovely pic Blondes
Just backing up Shirking on the increasing longevity thing- my granny is already 100 and living on her own at home! Her and Kirk Douglas should hook up.

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/12/2016 13:19

Got asked about family history and brother had cancer and diabetic
Plus df has 3 kids in 20's so needed to know if their birth etc was ok

Nice to have a decent pic for once - usually get a head shot if lucky as usually on stomach looking at my back

BeamReach · 12/12/2016 13:58

The midwife asked me to bring mine! She was disappointed when he couldn't (booking appt is at home)

BeamReach · 12/12/2016 13:59

Ooh! Great picture!

BeamReach · 12/12/2016 14:02

I barely know his medical history... Or at least I didn't til our nice surprise!!!! (we are a pretty new couple in the grand scheme.... And I guess the reason I didn't know much was he is fit as a flea!)

shirkingworking · 12/12/2016 17:23

Lovely pic Blondes! That sounds really really tough. Very glad to hear things are looking good now. Most people I know who had their first in their 40s didn't leave it that long by choice (although one did) - they mostly tried for a number of years through IVF or IVF/donor egg, which eventually worked.

BeamReach · 13/12/2016 11:37

Well ladies, I need to say goodbye.... My scan today was not consistent with an ongoing pregnancy.... No fetal pole (I should be about 8 weeks now, no way I am less as partner away for a month or so)....

I am ok..... It was a miracle I even got pregnant and I was prepared for the worst ....

Good luck everyone, you have been lovely xx

Helbelle75 · 13/12/2016 12:33

Beam...so so sorry to read. Wishing you much strength and luck xxx

Russkispy · 14/12/2016 10:05

Beam, so sorry to hear it! Look after yourself! 💐💐

Had my 12 week scan yesterday (NHS dating scan). Babi was well behaved, did her measurements and as a result it put me at 13+4 and not 13+1. So new due date is 16/06/17. Babi was hiccuping a bit which was ironic since I'm not a drinker haha but otherwise she looked adorable! Off to keep knitting blankets and other little bits!

ChristmasSeacow · 16/12/2016 23:51

Hi Russ glad the scan went well - you are 1-2 weeks ahead of me I guess.

I have my 12-week scan on Monday. I am really glad it is before Christmas but I am in a dilemma - I have a big Christmas lunch tomorrow with a bunch of friends and I think I will have to tell them. I feigned illness last month when I went away with a few of them for a weekend so that I could explain my non-drinking but they just won't buy it a second time. I am also seeing my parents on Sunday for our fake Christmas. I feel a bit superstitious telling people just before my 12-week scan but I think I will have to bite the bullet, as I want to tell my parents in person. It just feels like I am tempting fate, iyswim.

I did have a scan with Harmony at 12 weeks though so know all was okay then. Just can't shake the anxious feeling.

Not much to report. Still have horrible spots and want to eat crunchy nut cornflakes all the time.

ChristmasSeacow · 19/12/2016 19:53

Hiya, anyone still here?

Had my 12 week scan today and all fine. Due date was brought forward to 26/6 as they think I am 13 weeks today (5 days ahead of my estimate from LMP - didn't think that big a change was even possible).

Spots are slightly improved too!

I am going to tell people over the next week but feel strangely shy about it. Not sure why!

Russkispy · 19/12/2016 20:14

Hi Christmas, yes, I'm still here and 10 days ahead of you with my new DD of 16/06/17! Nausea is completely gone but insomnia is still here! So tired of it, to be honest! But other than that, still going to my acupuncture sessions. I think till I've done with my 20 week scan. Also booked a private scan at 22 weeks with 3D image.
How's everyone else doing?

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/12/2016 23:17

ALL good here - 25w - bubs movingly about and giving me heartburn 😉 Bless her

ChristmasSeacow · 19/12/2016 23:33

Oh gawd, heartburn is dreadful. Mine is starting already - I blame pregnancy combined with my dad's genes.

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/12/2016 22:06

26w today, so 14 to go or maybe 13 id have cs due to placenta

felt bubs def kick today, was wow and amazing

felt flutterings etc before but the way my placenta is placed and the way dd lays the docs said i may not feel kicks as early as some

ChristmasSeacow · 23/12/2016 06:42

Hi Blondes great to hear all is going well.

I am fine although Christmas prep is a bit up and down with my energy levels! I have been telling everyone about the baby and it has been fun, on the whole.

Really gone off a lot of food though. I had a mince pie yesterday and was nearly sick. It's a bit weird that this is getting worse over time and not better! On the whole I don't feel sick but I just don't want most of my normal foods. I've even gone off tea!

It's very quiet on here...

Russkispy · 23/12/2016 14:16

Hello ladies, hope you're all set for Christmas!
Also gone off tea here and any other hot drinks. Love everything with ice which never liked before! Suffer from headaches periodically and random nosebleeds.
15 weeks today.
Wishing you all a lovely Christmas!!! 🎄🎄🎄
