Movements = very exciting!

I have had a flurry of appointment booking (activity always makes me feel better)....
Booking appointment with midwife on Monday, viability scan on Tuesday...... Harmony (with scan) pencilled in for Jan 29th and waiting for 12 week scan appt to come in post!

Had definate nausea in the early hours this morning and was very dizzy yesterday if I stood up too quick.... Bean must be sticking? Surely?

ChristmasSeacow · 06/12/2016 19:32

Don't worry Blondes you will! By the end it isn't subtle at all! It does build up gradually, I think last time at about 20 weeks I only had flutterings too but by the end it was what I can only describe as full-on rummaging feeling!

Beam it's exciting when the appointments come through.

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/12/2016 22:57

Exciting stuff beam. Sure all is fine

I've messaged lh the other day as am worried but have heard nothing :( hope she is ok

Back to evening sickness again. Sighs

Have my weight app today as 'cough' slightly plump plus over 40 and dvt years ago so keeping An eye on me and they are impressed with me. I have put on 3lbs since I got preg in July and 1.5lbs of that is Bubs

Most put on a stone or so by the time they Are 6mths

I did say I couldn't really take any credit as eat and then lose a meal due to hg

Bloopbleep · 07/12/2016 06:04

Blondes you have my sympathy with the HG. I can't eat meals at all as they come up within the hour. I try to snack but feel so awful most of the time I can't. Stemitil and cyclizine barely worked & my sickness isn't even that bad I'm told. Ugh. I'd hate to think how much worse it could be. At least I've plenty to lose :-/

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/12/2016 06:32

For weeks I lived off bagels and chicken cuppa soup

And the hot days /weeks of summer - and typically we got a heatwave and since getting preg I've hated the sun and usually a sun worshipper , but some days I literally only ate rowntree fruit lollies

It's a lot better then it was but sickness does still surprise me

Bloopbleep · 07/12/2016 09:11

I'd love to be able to stomach either of those. It's miniature cathedral city cheddar cheese blocks and the ocsssional cream cracker by I've even gone off those. I can only drink water which is highly unusual for me as it usually makes me sick.

I'm back at GP for more meds and the one I'm meant to see is being supervised by the doc who refuses sickness meds in pregnancy so I doubt I'll get a repeat. I'm shitting it now as I can't go back to always being sick and losing more weight :( :(

I put a pair of my usual prepreg denims on 'this morning and they fell right down to my ankles! If she refuses I'll take my belt off and walk out with my trousers at my ankles that'll show em ;) or make a tit out of me ;p

BeamReach · 07/12/2016 10:49

Bloop!

Go in to see GP armed with this! The denial of antiemetic sin pregnancy is out moded practice

www.rcog.org.uk/en/guidelines-research-services/guidelines/gtg69/

BeamReach · 07/12/2016 10:49

Makes me very cross on your behalf!

BeamReach · 07/12/2016 10:51

One of the doctors who wrote the guideline suffered from horrific HG in her own pregnancies (and revolutionised the treatment of this at her own hospital on her return to work (day case unit)...

mightymouse76 · 07/12/2016 12:10

Bloop I'm sorry to hear you're ill and not getting the right support from the doctor. My doc was pretty sympathetic to be fair but at one point I received a prescription for ondansatron from an a&e GP (long story). This makes me think you could try an out of hours GP walk in service if you have one near? In a local hospital maybe? It's ridiculous that it should be so subjective amongst GP's, but on the upside if you can access one not connected to your practice you might get what you need...good luck.

Bloopbleep · 07/12/2016 14:03

Thankfully vomiting twice in her surgery helped her represcribe things but she wasn't keen and let me know it! It's just stemitil again. I've lost 2kg since last week. Wondering if I could end the pregnancy with a normal bmi at this rate.

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/12/2016 14:07

Bloop. Call nhs hotline for hg. It's in the hg thread

You don't need to suffer like this

What are your ketones?

BeamReach · 08/12/2016 17:03

It's gone really quiet in here.... Everyone ok?

Bloopbleep · 08/12/2016 17:09

Sorry for not replying sooner lines. Leytones on plus 1 but they think it's lack of food rather than lack of fluid. Today was a bit better just decided to stay lying down (really practical) I'll go check that number now tho. Thanks.

ChristmasSeacow · 08/12/2016 22:58

I'm here! Nothing exciting to report. Waiting for Harmony results and 12-week scan on 19th. THEN I CALL TELL EVERYONE!

Sorry some of you are having a rough time with sickness. Flowers

Womble75 · 09/12/2016 00:08

I'm here too!! Been having a rough few weeks with my thyroid levels going haywire but back down under 2 now and no bloods for a month.. 25 weeks now and movements increasing - he's a real kicker like his sister was. Tiredness still a pain combined with insomnia but thyroid doesn't help and my ferritin still low but not much more I can do about that/
Bump is massive.. But all out the front - with DD It was all over and I looked like a weeble - this time I look like I'm smuggling watermelons lol.
GTT booked for 4th Jan alongside another scan and consultant midwife just before Xmas to discuss birth plan and what went wrong last time and how things can be managed better this time. Was supposed to see consultant this week but my last hospital still haven't sent through my birth notes so will reschedule in the New Year (thanks Lewisham - shit as ever Angry) so things moving along - I keep telling myself I don't need to get things sorted for baby just yet as its all next year in my head but I know after Xmas I'll hit panic mode lol.
Hope everyone else is doing ok?

Bloopbleep · 09/12/2016 10:36

I'm jealous you're getting your scan before Xmas christmasseacow. My 12w scan is after Xmas and after 12weeks :(

Time goes really fast after 25weeks womble!

Well today I don't feel hugely sick /touch wood/ and hope to leave the house. Fingers crossed

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/12/2016 10:52

All good here. Sick some days and tired but otherwise ok :)

Get scanned again Monday 24/4

Feeling more movement. Kinda like cramp /sharp period pain

Want to feel Proper kicks but as placenta low and over cervix I may not for a while :(

Womble75 · 09/12/2016 14:32

Blondes we must be due around same time! Hopefully this scan your little one won't be as shy and you can find out Smile

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/12/2016 15:24

im due 30/3,

i now get checked every 3w due to cervix being shorter then average due to cone biopsys 20yrs ago, they sliced and diced a lot more years ago

bubs did turn last scan, 3rd time lucky, and is a girl, plus managed to get rest of measurements of heart and face and all ok

Womble75 · 09/12/2016 18:19

Sorry must have missed that post! Smile
I'm due 26/3. I've a scan booked for Jan and one for Feb apparently it's normal for over 40's.. Funny the difference in care when you are 37 to when you are 40+. Never had that with DD.

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/12/2016 18:32

thats coz you, me and anyone on this thread is geriatric Hmm

Womble75 · 09/12/2016 18:44

They told me I was geriatric at 37 lol!! Nearly signed up to Saga and bought myself some Dr Scholls Grin

BeamReach · 09/12/2016 20:41

Ooh! Lots of scans! :)

I'm sooooo tired!!!!! Cold turkey from caffiene be not helping. Only did half a day (plus some running about doing errands).... Flat out in couch on return home....

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/12/2016 21:34
