Is anyone experiencing sore gums and palate? My mouth is driving me insane and I've taken to rinsing with listrine and salt water more regularly than I'd like (salt water is gross.) I feel so unbelievably different this time around from my previous pregnancies. More like when I was pg with dd than with my lost baby but still very different. I cant decide if it is making my feel more or less anxious Confused. We are having a take away curry tonight and catching up on crap TV. I have a week off work too which I'm so in need of! Spending the day with dd and my niece tomorrow which I'm really excited for. Dh, SIL and the inlaws are off to Chelsea so I get the girls all to myself. Smile Happy Friday everyone!

AButterflyLightsBesideUs · 27/05/2016 20:03

Yes! Well, the opposite of palate anyway, whatever the bottom jaw inside the teeth bit is called is really sore. I'm on quite high dose steroid inhalers at the moment and a side effect of them can be oral thrush so I've been mostly hoping it isn't that. Maybe it is a hormonal thing then.

Very tired. I hurt my nipples by brushing my arms across them in the shower this morning and I am offended by the smell of fresh bread. Once more into the breach Wine

I had a little freak out last night when it sort of dawned on me that scans are not an abstract concept or a distressing memory, they are real and looming events and I am going to have to lie there again slathered in cold jelly whilst I get probed for what feels like forever waiting in terror for someone to tell me if I have a live baby inside or not. I'm scared Sad

Whatsername17 · 27/05/2016 20:30

Me too. By far the worst experience of my life!

MissClarke86 · 27/05/2016 21:15

Can I join you ladies?

Had a ERPC in February after baby stopped developing at about 5 weeks.

Started trying again this month, and got a faint BFP a few days ago. I was excited at first, but it quickly turned to fear. I've become a bit obsessed with testing and they're not getting darker.

OH is telling me to stay positive but I think I'll find that really hard until a) test lines start to get darker and b) I have a scan.

Whatsername17 · 27/05/2016 21:19

Keeping fingers crossed for you Miss Clarke. Congratulations on your bfp

LuckyinOctober · 28/05/2016 07:29

Hi ladies, hope you're all having lovely weekends. I'm having a wave of excitement about being pregnant again, DH is still trying to sleep so thought I'd come on here. Just on the note of dental stuff, I had a dentist appt immediately after getting my bfp and needed to tell her about the pregnancy (last person I'd expect to be first to know after DH!) since otherwise she would've done an X-ray on a broken filling. She also found two spots of bleeding gums. I definitely think my pregnancies have weakened my oral health which seems to be an accepted thing. I guess that's why we get free dental care, but it's not something I knew about before pregnancy.

Whatsername17 · 28/05/2016 08:13

I never had it with dd or last time but I guess I need to remember that this my my third pregnancy and second in 10 months so I'm bound to react differently. 5+2 today. Terrified but hopeful.

frobskottle · 28/05/2016 14:37

hey can I join you all?
I'm only 4weeks+5, I had a missed miscarriage in January which we found at the 12 week scan. It was a partial molar miscarriage so having another scan at 9 weeks (the chances are now higher but not much that I could have another.
As far as this pregnancy is I have been feeling much the same as when I had my DS so therefore getting my hopes up. Which then freaks me out even more as I then worry even about having a regular miscarriage which didn't really cross my mind with my first pregnancy.

lilydaisyrose · 28/05/2016 15:56

12w scan on Monday girls - am starting to get really anxious already - 45 hours to go. I saw baby and heard heartbeat already at 9w+3d & have no reason to think anything has gone wrong, but I'm still very very on edge about it. Wishing the weekend away.

If all is ok then we're not telling anyone until post 16w (if I get my way).

Whatsername17 · 28/05/2016 16:39

Good luck, lily! Scans are always going to be hard for us after everything we've been through. Here is hoping that you have a lovely little wriggler on Monday Flowers

AButterflyLightsBesideUs · 28/05/2016 16:41

Course you can frobs. Am I remembering correctly - is your name from the BFG? I loved that book as a child Smile So sorry to hear about your miscarriage and the added worry of it being a partial molar. Do you get much in the way of follow up after that to check everything is ok? Fingers crossed this is it for you. How are you feeling?

Huge milestone lily, scary times. I really hope all is well. The odds are very much in your favour now - something like 98% of pregnancies where a heartbeat has been seen after 8 weeks will go to term. Of course that isn't necessarily much comfort if you have been in the minority before but do hold onto it. Good luck.

4+6 today. Felt queasy for a couple of hours this morning but it's cleared up so making the most of feeling well this afternoon.

mikesh909 · 28/05/2016 18:51

Got my combined test results in the post today (much faster than I was expecting!) and they seem pretty good. Adjusted risk is 1:13612 for T21 and 1:112753 for T13/18. I know they're not conclusive tests, but I guess they are encouraging odds. On the downside, I woke up at the crack of dawn feeling terrible and have been feeling equally terrible since. My DP is getting impatient to tell people now, so I guess that's happening soon.

Good luck for Monday lily. This was me last week, so totally know how you must be feeling. I'll be thinking all the good thoughts for you.

Welcome frobskottle and missclarke. Hope everything continues smoothly for you both.

Whatsername17 · 28/05/2016 19:11

Congrats on those results - they sound really promising. I'm having a worry day. I'm worrying about everything. Dh bought me some Becks Blue last night which is alcohol free but I'm still worrying that it might have something else in it and I shouldn't be drinking it. This is so hard.

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 28/05/2016 20:04

Hi ladies! I know I'm not familiar with many of you, some names I know...but not many....

Just wanted to say, I know the the minutes seem like hours, the hours days, and the days weeks...BUT you WILL get your happy endings, be it this time or the next. I can't believe after two consecutive mc's that I'm now sat here next to my little man (who's not so little any more at one month old)

Honestly cant believe that I've managed to keep a little person alive for this long...i know it sounds silly but that's what it feels like Confused

Anyone know how keys & reebok & lilliana are? I've looked through the thread but can't see anything from them??? Many other names that have disappeared over time...i hope they're all doing ok!

Keep up the amazing work gals! You're doing great! Trust me, the time fly's after a while (although it does drag again towards the end if you're big and uncomfortable Blush) On that note, one piece of advice....avoid induction at all costs if at all possible...i caved due to spd and wish I hadn't! Contractions were utterly horrendous, failed epi and failed forceps after two hours pushing, ended in emergency c section Sad BUT he is here now so I count my blessings...going for vbac next time for sure, with as little medical intervention as poss!!!

But hey,...its all worth it WinkFlowers Xxx

Those look like really good results mike, hope you are feeling positive after that. Sorry you've felt so rough. Horrible isn't it.

Thanks paws and congratulations! He looks just lovely. I saw reebok posting on the HG support thread recently so you could probably track her down there. Enjoy that little person you made Smile

MimiDiddy · 29/05/2016 08:16

Hi ladies, I don't know if I'm getting ahead of myself here but I got a nice and clear bfp yesterday (the first was a bit of a squinter) and am 4+1 today. It's my 4th pregnancy in 2 years, no dc yet so feel a tad apprehensive.

Paws congratulations on the birth of Samuel, I remember some of the hell you went through to get to this point. Thanks for reminding us that it will all be worth it. I've had a minor name change but was on a previous version of this thread between Xmas and February.

If there's some room on the first trimester fretting bench I'd like to park myself on it once more please?

Whatsername17 · 29/05/2016 08:39

Welcome Mimi. Come fret with us. Allmychildren your little boy is perfect. Congratulations Flowers

AButterflyLightsBesideUs · 29/05/2016 08:41

Welcome mimi, lovely news on your bfp, here's hoping Flowers I'm so sorry you've had such a hard 2 years and gone through 3 mcs. Have you had any testing?

5 weeks today. I found out Tues before last on day 22 of my cycle so feels like ages already. Had a horrible night tossing and turning feeling sick and the back of my pelvis hurts whatever position I lie in in bed for the last week or so. What the heck is that about?! I've not experienced that before apart from late on and I refuse to believe pgp could get started at this point. I'm hoping I've just done some bad lifting or something and made something a bit sore and it will go away. Frustrating though as I can't sleep well. Woke up feeling green too.

We could do with a list really to keep track of where we all are.

Hope the time is passing lily and you can distract yourself a bit today. What time is your appt tomorrow?

LuckyinOctober · 29/05/2016 08:50

Hi mimi it's nice seeing someone similar stage to me here. I'm 4+3 today by ovulation date/ 5+3 by last period date. We can fret together. I was woken at 2am by acute abdominal pain with sweating and nausea which I had in the past with my first MC when that pregnancy was at implantation stage (2 weeks before I lost it) so that scared me. Before it lasted about an hour though and this time only a couple of minutes as it was relieved by passing wind. So keeping fingers crossed it was just trapped wind this time and not pregnancy related.

Good luck for scan lily, reassuring results mike.

LuckyinOctober · 29/05/2016 08:54

Also thanks paws reminders that it will all be worth it in the end help. Congratulations on your beautiful little man too.

Sophia1984 · 29/05/2016 09:17

Hi paws Lovely to see your little one and to get a reminder that it's all worth it. I'm 30 weeks now and my anxiety has ramped up but I just need to hang on in there for another 10 (or 12..or who knows) weeks to meet my little guy :-)

MimiDiddy · 29/05/2016 09:19

Butterflies I've had every test the NHS has to offer, except the chromosome tests. All have come back clear so far. We were advised to keep on dtd and our next pregnancy had a 60% chance of success, compared to the normal 80%.

Macauley · 29/05/2016 10:03

Congrats on your test results mike.
Good luck for tomorrow lily
Welcome and congrats mimi

lucky don't underestimate the power of the trapped wind to give you anxiety tomake you feel like something is seriously wrong and then daft the next minute when all you needed was to toot! It's so uncomfortable though.

butterfly also feeling green this morning. Feels like a hangover! Not got out of bed yet but got to get up to go feed animals but just can't face it!!!! Trying to work out if I'm hungry or not.

Macauley · 29/05/2016 10:04

sophia that's not long to go now!

MimiDiddy · 29/05/2016 11:02

Lucky I remember the trapped wind from my last pregnancy, I hadn't experienced it before and woke to thinking something was terribly wrong until I rollled over and did a massive trump! Blush The joys of being preggers. I seem to be feeling lots happening down there very early on this time, I guess my body is just ready to swing into action.
