Thanks for the welcome Maculay, fx my stay is longer this time.

MissClarke86 · 29/05/2016 15:10

I'm fairly certain I'm having a chemical pregnancy ladies Sad Preg tests have been staying the same/getting lighter on FRERs and ICs went from positive to negative. No symptoms either.

If it's not meant to be I can deal with it, but I don't cope with waiting...

Might go and buy another digi test but my bank balance isn't appreciating all the testing!

purpleviolet1 · 29/05/2016 16:29

Miss Clarke Sad really hope it's not. Can you go to the GP to get your blood tested tomorrow?

eillenram · 29/05/2016 16:43

eillenram

i had a miscarriage 2 years ago, and only now i get a chance to become pregnant again but i think im having again a mc. my last day of period was april 19 and on may 22 i had a pregnancy test and its positive, i make 2 test though the line is faint but still visible. i made a test again 23 and same faint line.by those days i feel cramping and lower abdominal pain. on 28 in the morning i feel dizzy and got spotting. light brown. and in evening it became red. this morning its not a spotting anymore. its bleeding already. just like light period. and having serious cramps and lower abdominal pain. i went to doctor and go for ultrasound. she found a sack round forming but cannot determine if there is baby. because its still early to see. they make blood test and my hcg level is 24.something. and bleeding still continues and become more heavy. after 2 days i need to to blood test again and if hcg level becomes low then it is miscarriage. but if its become high maybe its ectopic.
but im still hoping as there are forums here i read which they also got heavy bleeding but still delivered normal..

may God help me coz i have been waiting for so long for a baby to come

MissClarke86 · 29/05/2016 17:07

I've just done a digi and it says "Not Pregnant". 4 days ago I got a "Pregnant 1-2 weeks" so that's definitely a chemical.

I guess I just wait for a bleed now...Sad

purpleviolet1 · 29/05/2016 17:29

Ellen and missclarke Sad sorry to hear both of your troubles. Really hope it's not the worst for you both. The waiting is definitely the hardest.

Miss Clarke your situation sounds similar to mine. I was 6 weeks when a clear blue digital showed the weeks indicator going down instead of up. I then started spotting and HCG bloods confirmed I was miscarrying. It's a horrible horrible thing to go through. Last time I was 12 weeks so felt that bit worse as id had so many weeks thinking all was ok. This time I only knew for two weeks but I feel like I have no head space left.

Please get yourself to the GP tomorrow. Even if it is a chemical it is important the pregnancy is recorded so god forbid if it happened again they would start investigations. Xx

MissClarke86 · 29/05/2016 17:32

Thanks purple.

Can I ask what your earlier miscarriage was like? I had one in Feb where baby had developed to 6 weeks and the blood loss/clotting was pretty immense then. I'm hoping this time it will just be like a heavy period...I'm a bit scared to leave the house this week now.

chelle792 · 29/05/2016 17:37

Just catching up with everyone, mike so good to hear your scan went well!! Hello to everyone joining this thread and those who are having a tough time - Flowers

8 weeks today. Nearly finished my antibiotics for a uti and my cold has nearly gone. Pregnancy symptoms are dropping away so starting to worry but I'm pretty sure I can see some sort of visible thing on my belly, just above my pubic bone so I'm hoping baby is ok. My symptoms dropped away at 8 weeks last time before my mmc at 11.5 weeks so very tempted to pay for a scan, despite my reservations about booking unnecessary scans.

Sorry I don't check in often - I find everyone's highs and lows difficult to contend with sometimes because I feel like it just encourages my own anxieties

Miss Clarke the 12 week miscarriage was horrendous - managed with the tablets.

This time at six weeks it's not been nearly as bad but still pretty bad. I've not taken painkillers as regularly as I would've liked (my own laziness) and I also worked all week which in hindsight felt OK at the time and kept my mind busy, but I've come crashing down this weekend with complete and utter exhaustion. I haven't taken any vitamins or iron but I've bought floradix now and will start that ASAP. I never expected the body to feel it as much as six weeks is quite early right? But I think it's more that the body goes through all the change. The bleeding hasn't been too bad, just like a heavy period but the cramps and backache was the worst.

AButterflyLightsBesideUs · 29/05/2016 20:17

MissClarke and eillen so sorry to hear that. Look after yourselves.

Been feeling properly nauseous today, but in phases, and then it goes again for a bit, which is very much more manageable than constant. To others feeling vile, vitamin B6 is sometimes prescribed to help "morning" (ha!) sickness, I think about 50mg per day, ideally split into a couple of doses. Might be worth a try? I started taking it after the nausea kicked in in my last pregnancy and it definitely took the edge off. Obv do your own research to make sure you are happy it is safe but everything I saw suggested it was.

LuckyinOctober · 29/05/2016 21:29

Thanks for the reassurance and empathy about my trapped wind situation ladies, makes me feel more normal and less alone.

Sorry to read your news miss clarke I'm not doing repeat tests this time as think it'll just add to my fretting and I'll find out there's a problem soon enough if I start bleeding, from my last two losses I know my body doesn't hang on if there's no hope.

Just on the note of b6 and nausea, I've been drinking a cup of tetley b6 in the morning in place of caffeinated tea which seems to give me an energy kick as well as maybe delay nausea - I'm also getting it intermittently and I'm managing it with regular snacks, plenty water and ginger everything. As someone on a gluten free diet I was happy to discover m+s gluten free ginger snaps today, might make short work of them.

chelle792 · 30/05/2016 07:16

tinkly I think you might be me! I'm at mum's, been sat in the living room since 5am playing with my phone. The afternoon naps are amazing though, I've had about four or five in a week - I never ever normally nap!

My nausea is really only after I eat. I find if I.lie down after I've eaten I can avoid being sick.

Have you got the bump too? It's weird. Equally, the dropping away of symptoms only reminds me of my mmc. I had headaches for the first couple of weeks of pregnancy but my friend is a chiropractor and cracked my neck for me - sorted it right out! Grin

Do you think you will have a scan? I'm so unsure

When do you think your booking in will be? Mine is 13th June - I'll be 10+4 then, I think. This scan I had has messed up my dates because they measured baby a week smaller.

I think I'll relax after the 12 week scan

Macauley · 30/05/2016 09:12

I don't know why but I'm still feeling the booking in/12 week scan appt panic. Think it's becsuse I know they only have one appointment a week.

Also waking up at 5am everyday and loving the afternoon naps. Not sure if I'll get to do that today at work!

Is anyone else expanding quicker this time? I'm only 6 weeks and my trousers are getting a bit tight. I've not completely let myself go this time and was actively losing weight prior to getting pregnant. Had a giant but cake last night though but was sick right after it so I don't think those calories count!

AButterflyLightsBesideUs · 30/05/2016 09:54

It's the bloating Mac combined with the nonexistant weakened stomach muscles due to previous expansion. I always tend to go into mat trousers very early but it's because they are looser and softer on the waistband - the feel of normal jeans fitted round me makes me feel sick. Sorry your cake came back! Feel shite today. DD kicked me from 5.45 this morning so that was appreciated. Feel sick and tired and with a headache. I had a sore tummy last night - bit constipated - and moaned to DH that I managed to push a pile back out and not a poo. Then was a bit loose and grim this morning. Nice!

On the trapped wind note from a couple of pages back - I shall share my IBS gleaned dealing-with-wind tips:

  • peppermint tea
  • eat whole fennel seeds
  • go for a walk
  • lie on the floor and stretch right out/bicycle legs etc
  • get down on all fours, and lower yourself right down so your head is on the floor and bum in air. This can be almost instant relief Smile
  • get in a confined space with people you do not wish to be embarrassed infront on Wink

Anyway, DH has taken DD out for a few hours so I am going to have a bath and inevitably doze off!

MimiDiddy · 30/05/2016 11:34

Good de-winding tips Butterfly, I hope to need them in the next few weeks.

Mac I'm also concerned about getting a booking appt too as there's not a lot of slots at my surgery either and I don't want to arrange mine until I know everything is ok. I haven't managed to have a booking appt yet as I mc'd before the first two and had a pregnancy of uncertain viability so the mw didn't want to put me through the torture of the appt during my last pg. Thankfully I've got the mw's number and she offered to arrange an at home appt if the pregnancy viability was confirmed last time so I'm hoping she'll allow me to do the same this time. I've got an early scan at 8 wks at the EPAU on 24th June, fx I'll finally see a wriggly little bean. Maybe you could try speaking to the midwife direct if appt slots are a problem?

I was a bit concerned I was having another chemical pregnancy as the first test was soooo faint but the lines have been getting steadily stronger so I might finally start believing this is happening (again), and it might even work this time, and stop POAS every other day! Grin

Macauley · 30/05/2016 12:42

I'm due a scan at 9 weeks which is the same week as booking appt. I am booked in due to the doctor making me do it when I went to see him. I have not filled out any of the forms yet and won't be till the night before! Just worried my booking appt clash with the scan because I will be going to the scan no questions!

Thanks for the tips butterfly will try some out later!

Whatsername17 · 30/05/2016 17:05

I've really not got many symptoms at all but I'm trying not to obsess or worry. I didn't have many with dd but was sick 4 times a day with my lost baby. It's been a very stressful week and I'm hoping that stress doesn't affect the baby.

lilydaisyrose · 30/05/2016 19:12

All good with baby today - measuring 12+3 so an amended due date of Friday 9th December. So incredibly relieved - Next milestone 16w and finally starting to tell people!

Congrats lily Grin

LuckyinOctober · 30/05/2016 19:55

Lily that's wonderful news, the light on your scan photo makes me think of the sun shining on your baby.

I plucked up the courage to phone the midwives today and have my booking in appt for when I'm 8 weeks and my scan for when I'm 12 weeks (well, going by my dates based on ovulation that is; based on NHS dates I'm going when I'm 9 weeks and 13 weeks respectively and have a due date of 29th January. It does amuse me that NHS pregnancy dating assumes women all have 28 day cycles they ovulate in the middle of, even when the women know better.

Butterfly, you're a legend. I again woke up with wind cramp at 1am, and will try your tips if it happens again tonight. I've also found balloon breathing (relaxation exercise) helps with stomach cramps.
