She slept through from being 8-9weeks old and was in her own room by 11 weeks. Am hoping DB will be same. I can dream !! You are right though not long to go either way really. This morning have had 3 really strong bh and each one hurt my minnie so hopefully it is a sign. maybe we wil have a suprise guest to one of the BBQS. (seem as one is at home)

my friend who had her show last friday is stillno closer (2days over now) babs isn't even engaged still up under her ribs.
DD complaining she is bored so going to take her out now.
Skara- glad you had a good noght with jude last night.

It just ain't happening for us lot is it? And I'm still having to cross my legs for about 12 hours Saturday/Sunday, though I now have a feeling I'm going to be late! Feel like shooting the next person who asks me if I've had the baby yet (yes, just thought I'd keep it a secret and stuff a beach ball up my top).

Good luck Gomez and sorry about the non-magic wand (although I think I still have a few hours left on my spell don't I??)

Karen - eat some spicy meat with pineapples!

Secur - I don't want to hear that no 2 is more difficult - tell me it's not true!

Skara - sounds like you are actually having too much rest - that's not right is it?

Today I did a crap shop because I really do have pregnancy mushy brain (but managed to stock up on some choc, natch) but had a lovely day in the park with friend, even though dd managed to break her record for falling over and she even got stuck in a tree! But still not bloody signs of db.

But what about Scampadoodle??

Cavy · 09/06/2004 22:34

My 2nd baby was a doddle.. honest. She got to 2yo and I remember telling a friend how reasonable she was, thinking "You're two years old, this is not normal!" She's a bit stroppy sometimes now (2.5yo, has a new habit of screaming which is really annoying...!), but still, a doddle, really.

I think I'm overdue for a really difficult baby, tbh. My family have started emailing about where's the baby?, though. I'm still 8 days before EDD!

Ok, scampadoodle, come out come out wherever you are!

Saw MW today and nothing much happening or to report. I've had an amazingly good half-term week with the kids but am tired and off to bed very shortly.

niceglasses · 10/06/2004 12:56

aka Lazyeye

Still here girls. No signs of bubba at all really - the odd twinge, probably more BH each night, which is the way I seem to go until something tips me over the edge.

I'm on mat leave now, though due to work next week for some training - so I can't post as regularly.

Feel very fed up - would be happy with baby coming anytime now even though am just passed 37 weeks - I tend to feel sick again towards the end and am just so huge with the other 2 to run around after. Moan moan.

C'mon girls.......someone must join skara soon

monkeygirl · 10/06/2004 14:23

Cavy - that's more what I wanted to here! But DB is already being disobedient by not coming out on request so not holding out much hope.

Have remembered the most compelling reason for being early. Although my edd is on Thursday family members a) ring up constantly asking stupid questions b) assume I'm in labour if I don't answer the phone immediately (that's what my dad told my mum this morning and I was only in the bleedin' bath!) c) seem to think that I'm going to keep the birth a big secret from them.

Enough already!

I felt sick myself last night, although think it was more to do with a big bout of heartburn. Groin area is very painful in the evenings. Apart from that, nothing. I feel like a huge immoveable michelin man and can't be arsed to do anything accept be a bad-tempered blob.

Apart from that am very excited!

Only Scampadoodle and Cathncait left to report in from regulars (and still no LittleLamb)?

Where are you all?? Do we have an actual June baby yet??

cathncait · 10/06/2004 19:14

Sorry to be quiet for so long, have had a few sleepless nights with dd teething (molars). One week to go now and nothing going on so it seems . BUGGER! Have started taking raspberry leaf tablets so that had better help! My hands are getting puffy and sore from carpel tunnel so the dr tells me (should return to normal after birth). and my hips are sore every time I get up from sitting for too long. I have had enough! But am survivng. Won't be really surprised if I have to be induced as was last time 2 weeks late.

On a really good note, dh seems to be getting better. He has had a really good week health wise and seems to have turned a corner. I'm trying not to get too hopeful in case he goes down again - but so far is looking good. He says he feels different. How's that for timing hey??? cool! Maybe he can get up in the middle of the night too soon You can probably tell that my 'not getting too hopeful' isn't working. I'm very hopeful that our lives here will return to normal soon -health wise anyway

Hope someone can have a baby soon...maybe it will suddenly go quiet here one day and they will all pop out similtaneously Wouldn't that be something!

Gomez · 10/06/2004 22:06

Evening Ladies, popped into see if anything a foot but surprise, surprise not a sausage! Nothing happening with me either. Except supreme frustration at the rest of the world- so with you Monkeygirl, yes of course we have had the baby and not told anybody. Doh!! Dh appears more frustrated than I am - although that could be because I am just sitting on my big fat bum all day at the mo - dishing out my orders and saying'Oh, I need to rest...'

Right off for tea so take care ladies.

sweetkitty · 11/06/2004 00:41

just popped in to see if anything had happened good luck ladies I see a weekend of Raspberry Leaf Tea, pineapples and sex

Skara · 11/06/2004 00:51

great news about your dh Cathncait

Just popped in to see if Jude had anyone to hang out with online yet...glad to report that he's still being really placid and laid back, feeding well and I am in major babymoon mode, doing absolutely nothing and letting dh look after the children which he is doing brilliantly! My only problem is I am incredibly broody and already desperately trying to work out how to wangle a no4 out of an incredibly un-keen (for which read desperate to have a vasectomy asap) husband

I've got 3 pineapples going off in my kitchen, so sending lots of 'baby come out' vibes to everyone. I'm beginning to feel a bit like the overdressed person at a party!

karen01 · 11/06/2004 00:53

Hi all,I am still here also , last night had a couple of hours with regular really bad twinges under bump and in minnie, but they went I got really excited thinking this is it but nothing.
Haven't managed to try sex yet as we both feel uncomfortable at the moment don't know why, we will just have to get over it and give it a try.

littlelamb · 11/06/2004 01:14

I'm back! Moved last Friday and have been in a sort of daze ever since, doing all the stuff that I just don't want to like ringing the water, electric, phone people, etc. One week to go but I still think I'm in some weird form of denial, I honestly don't think it will register that a baby's on the way til it's popped out!
The nice thing about having moved is that all my baby stuff's out of boxes and I can finally see where all my money went!
Tomorrow is the day to finish my last essay, then I have a week to just sit around and twiddle my thumbs. Anyone got any suggestions how to occupy myself next week? Or give this baby his eviction notice

bambi06 · 11/06/2004 01:30

just been reading everyones feelings about "bloody hurry up will you mode " at end of pregnancy with a big wistful smile on my face remembering it all... anyway getting down to the subject i wanted to talk about .. has anyone thought of using homeopathy to bring on labour ?if so i can highly recommend it and no i`m not a homeopath just a mum of two who remembering how long my first was overdue(19 days..and i had to fight drs off!) i was determined not to do that one again!! so out came the homeopathic birthing kit from Helios homeopathics and heh ho after a few doses of cimifuga 200 and an extra dosage( just in case) of cauophyllum 200 it worked.. initially the contractions would start gradually and then tail off so after a weekend of taking a couple of doses(o.k maybe more than a couple but i was desperate) it started again and yippe they carried on and i had the best labour out, just niggles and only just made it to hospital so well done homeopathy i say and hope it works for you too.. may iadd that its perfectly safe for both you and baby and you can hire kits or even just call up an homeopath and ask for them and its no probs anyway let me stop babbling now and wish you all good luck and a beautiful baby ..love

monkeygirl · 11/06/2004 01:32

Ah nuts - thought if I kept off MN most of today someone was bound to have had a baby. Well just to be bloody minded I do NOT want DB to make an appearance tonight or tomorrow morning. Business can resume Sunday late afternoon...oops maybe shouldn't have had that really hot chilli tonight though...

Gomez - you really must try harder now as you are next on that diving board . But now that I think we've heard from nearly everyone am getting deeply suspicious about Scampadoodle.

Cathncait - that's great news about dh - sounds very promising for all of you. Maybe things are all set for you as well.

Karen - you sound like you are at the same stage as me with pains down below which are coming and going. What teases these DBs are eh...

And welcome back Littlelamb - aren't we all crap apart from good old Skara?

But Skara - I cannot believe you are broody already. The words 'never again' have passed my lips several times in the past few weeks. How long do you have dh at home with you?

monkeygirl · 11/06/2004 01:36

bambio6 - I've heard someone else mention homeopathic kits and think I 'll have a look at them early next week if still not action for me. I think by then if someone says you will go into labour if you climb up Tower Bridge naked with a rose between your buttocks then I'll give that a go too . Yes I am a desperate blob...

karen01 · 11/06/2004 02:46

My auntie does some sort of massage(shiatzu or something like that) and apparantley they have been taught a special technique that can help bring on labour if ready. I was asking her to do it tonight but she said no and laughed and went to the pub with mam. not sure whether it will work so I will have to talk her into trying it is only pressing on certain pressure points I have a rough idea where but not 100% so daren't try myself
maybe i will have to try the homeopathic way thanks for the tip bambi06
Just so fed up though am sure this is keepimng babs where it is as I am to anxious to have him. i think my big issue is DH due to go back on 23rd june and i want him to have some quality time with DB b4 he goes. I have even been considering asking them to section me on or just after my due date (17th)as I am seeing the consultant then anyway if nothing has happened, as extending DH leave by 1week shouldn't be a problem but i reckon any more and things may get difficult..(Last time we saw her she did imply that if I could have been induced she would have have done a bit earlier than due date so DH could definatley be there).

i really don't want another c-section though if it is not necessary so it is a catch 22 really. i wish someone had a magic wand

Sorry just waughling on.

Skara · 11/06/2004 15:48

MG, dh is at home for 3 weeks, as he had accrued loads of time off and is generally too busy being a workaholic to take it! He is frighteningly efficient at my job...suspect it would tail off after a few more weeks and he'd be as crap, incompetent and chaotic as me once he discovered dadsnet ot the equivalent

I have to say the broodiness has really thrown me...I dunno, maybe a few months on and I'll be hysterical at the idea. Secur, this is your 4th isn't it? Will be waiting for reports from the front line!

monkeygirl · 11/06/2004 16:29

Skara -3 weeks, bliss! I had that much time with dh first time round and it was so good, but this time he is thinking of just taking 1 week which worries me slightly. I feel for you though Karen, because I know your dh is living on borrowed time, so to speak.

But at least I didn't go into labour last night as we only had some dubious cover arranged. My best bet is back tonight so need to hang on but tbh I am feeling so bad now even with a bit of activity. At lest dh is here this weekend and looking after dd but I am dreading next week if I have to carry on with normal life when all I want to do is retire to my bed until it happens! Ah those heady maternity leave days of my first pregnancy seem just like some lovely fantasy now.

karen01 · 11/06/2004 18:21

have had pineapple today and nookie last night totry and move things along. Think will have to try again tonight
I just think our babies are quite comfortable were they are. Bless.

karen01 · 11/06/2004 22:45

It is quiet on here today.

Are some more June babies arriving.

told DH he can take me for a walk to the pub tonight.

Gomez · 11/06/2004 23:48

Sorry Karen - nothing to report at this end. And no hints that anything is going to happen either!

Going off to search the Internet for reflexology moves to gets things moving - my reflexologist has gone on holiday and I am gutted!! DH can practice tonight given that we have both agreed that that we are not quite desperate enough for sex just yet!! Although Scampadoodle is still missing in action so may have something to report.

Take care all.

Bogwoppit · 12/06/2004 03:06

nothing to add here either tho the pool lifeguards looked worried when i waddled in this morning!

only pain i have had today was stubbing my littel toe not once but twice! made it bleed. think it's cos my feet are so fat i forget how much wider they are

i have a feelign this baby is going to be late.

what's the betting we all pop on the same day!!!
