Pregnancy after infertility

Thought I’d start this thread as I find myself feeling quite out of place on the ‘normal’ antenatal club threads - find it difficult to relate to being upduffed after 'just' having some sex, and thinking ahead to buying maternity clothes, how much maternity leave to take, where I’d like to give birth etc

I realise it’s entirely my own issues and that infertility world has clouded my views, but I want to scream ‘DON’T YOU KNOW EVERYTHING THAT COULD GO WRONG!!’.

There’s a thread for pregnancy after previous loss, but thought there might be some kindred spirits who are navigating the world of pregnancy after infertility

I've made the switch to this thread to join my old pals Bananafish, FlatWhite and Vap0 Month 33 and round 5 of clomid and we've won a positive pregnancy test again.

Desperately hoping I get to stay on this thread and don't have to go back to my old infertility thread. My mmc 6months ago still feels very raw and is very scary being pregnant again.

How is everyone doing? I have Panorama test and a 10w scan on Monday and I'm pooping my pants

Oh and DH said I have the beginnings of a pigmented belly line. This early on?! If this pregnancy sticks does that mean I'm gonna end up looking like a zebra by late pregnancy??!!

5 weeks pregnant after 2nd attempt at IVF and trying not to get too excited.Have scan booked in for 24th March and the wait is worse than 2ww after et!

Hi MrsLen, welcome! I know what you mean, I'm currently 6+3 after FET (which I had after MC at 11 weeks after IVF last year.)
The 2ww after transfer drags but once you get that BFT the next 2ww for a scan is excruciating! Analysing every twinge, upset if you don't get symptoms, I've spent a fortune on pregnancy tests to reassure my self that it's still happening!

Went for an early scan on Friday where we saw 1 heartbeat but 2 sacs. The smaller sac was obscured by the larger, more advanced embryo but they thought that it might not be viable. I had 2 embryos put back. Last night, it felt like my waters broke and then an hour later I had a short, brief bleed. I've had no bleeding since but brown spotting. I've had no pain either. Do you think my body expelled the non viable sac? I'm just worried it's took the other one with it. Very nervous day today x

sweetheart it's certainly possible but no way of knowing - can you get down the EPU? X

Hi Sweet, Sorry that you're having this stress, as Bananafish said, if I was you I'd contact the Early Pregnancy Unit and they will probably arrange another scan to put your mind at ease. Hope all is ok x

I've spoken to my ivf consultant and he has got me in for a scan tomorrow. I have an awful cold and cough too so every time I have a coughing fit, I cross my legs to make sure baby is coughed out x

Oh sweetheart, how scary. Like it isn't stressful enough anyway :( With our IVF I had two embryos put back and only one implanted, it was a relief that it wasn't twins but also really quite distressing that one had been lost. Everything crossed that your big embryo is happily growing away.

I am 38 weeks now and really getting apprehensive that something is going to go horribly wrong at the eleventh hour. Had a weird nervous breakdown type thing in the middle of the night a few days ago, but I'm a bit scared of telling my midwife that I might have antenatal depression.

10w scan this morning showed our baby has gone. Missed miscarriage

Saw a beautiful heartbeat at 7+1 and 8+5 but baby measured 9+3 so it died mid/late last week. Utterly heartbroken.
