I'm TTC and 10 days after ovulating, took a pregnancy test and I don't know if my eyes are
playing tricks on me from desperately wanting to be pregnant or if it's just still too early too tell, the first day of my last period was the 25th Jan, so I'm due febs period on Monday but I'm just too egar.
Took this test and downloaded one of those pregnancy test checkers and inverted the colours and I just wanted someone opinion on if I should retest in a few days, if it's a false negative, positive but faint or if I'm just looking the plot!!! There must be someone who's done this too 🙊😍😭❤️

Pressed doesn't aid conception. It's a special-friendly lubricant. Normal lubricants can be hostile to sperm. So if you need lubricant to have sex then beat to use pre seed. However it is no better or more effective than sex without lubricant.

JessieMcJessie · 21/02/2016 15:26

Sorry typos - special friendly= sperm friendly

Beat= best

Sarah112233 · 21/02/2016 15:27

Okay! thanks ladies :) I may pop to SuperDrug tomorrow x

right now I've got a different 'symptom' it feels like someone's tided a knot around my belly button and it's pulling it out, like a sort of stretching, very bizarre never felt anything like this before!

Sarah if you have conceived all that is happening now is that a tiny tiny blastocyst the size of a poppy seed at most is burrowing into your uterine lining. You cannot feel this. I have a 12 week baby inside me and I can't feel anything! There is definitely no need for anything to be stretching at your stage. Even at our 8 week scan the sonographer told me that my uterus would not yet have increased in size.

In the kindest possible way, you're over thinking this. On the internet you will find a million tales of different symptoms felt - it's far too random for you to take away any rule that will tell you if you are pregnant or not.

I KNOW that it's mind blowing my frustrating- been there for a whole 18 months of TTC but seriously, you just can't tell.

tealoveryum · 21/02/2016 15:52

Yes Jessie is correct. Sorry I just presumed most people have to use lubricant since most people I know do though I know that's not the case. Both my sister and I were previously using durex so it definitely helped us, I had no idea lube could cause issues until she told me.

tealoveryum · 21/02/2016 15:56

When you ttc everything could be a possible symptom. Pulling can happen but not for weeks yet, I get the same feeling sometimes usually followed by needing to use the bathroom within a couple of hours.

I can't count how many months I had symptoms and convinced myself I was pregnant. The month I got pregnant was no different from them.

It plays on your mind a lot, really messes it up :( . I do feel for you because I've driven myself to tears, to wine and to anger over ttc. Some people are very lucky and never have the issue but I think it's very common to have it prey on your mind.

JessieMcJessie · 21/02/2016 16:00

OMG tealoverymum I have absolutely no idea whether anyone I know needs to use lubricant for sex and can't imagine it ever coming up in conversation! Blush

tealoveryum · 21/02/2016 16:10

Lol Jessie, it's more 'I never' conversation than tea time in all honesty, but I've been friends with them for nearly 3 decades now and lived with most of them on and off over that time. It definitely comes up, especially when one of you runs out or you are hoovering the others bedroom.

I had no idea my sister did use it for certain though until I got very upset about not conceiving and she asked me if I used it- then she told me about preseed. I'd been doing the ovulation sticks (which were rubbish) but had avoided googling much in worry of getting too obsessed with ttc so I had no idea normal lube could damage.

Sarah112233 · 21/02/2016 17:38

tealoveryum I'm so glad someone understands how I feel ☹ the stress of it all probably isn't helping TTC at all!

Unfortunately I do Sarah, it's very stressful and makes everything less fun. I hope you get your BFP Flowers

Sarah112233 · 21/02/2016 19:32

Hi Sarah, I can see a 2nd line in every single picture you have posted so would assume that you are in the very early stages of pregnancy. See if you can get a digital tomorrow. Good luck!

jellycat1 · 21/02/2016 21:50

Yup I can see it but try to relax and do another with first morning wee. First response works best ime.

keleigh1989 · 21/02/2016 22:11

Hi there!! I did the early 10ml ones offline and they only showed up day before period was due and the only way I knew was because I read that if you go back to them 2 hours later they can take that long to show! So I popped back up to the bathroom and low and behold I had a faint line! Took a super drug early the next morning and a clear as day line!!
Yet- the clear blue digital said not pregnant the same day! I'm now 8 weeks ;)
All the best !! (I'm pretty sure I see a line on your second picture) xx

Sarah112233 · 21/02/2016 22:28

thank you ladies I hope so 🙊❤️

Sarah definitely try a Superdrug early test. I did a First Response test at 9dpo and got a similar result to yours. I did a Superdrug test first thing in the morning two days later and got a faint but clear positive. Good luck!

Sarah112233 · 21/02/2016 22:28

trying so hard not to get my hopes up x

Sarah I'm on the exact same cycle as you (first day of af 25th Jan). I tested this morning and got a faint bfp! I'm scared af will show as had a chemical last time we conceived (first time trying to get preggers) so trying not to get my hopes up yet. I really hope you are and you get your bfp for definite soon! I can't believe how stressful/obsessive I've become about it all. Totally not my character! Keeping everything crossed for you, let us know how it goes x

BasinHaircut · 22/02/2016 08:28

I think I can see a faint line. Good luck x

Sarah112233 · 22/02/2016 11:08

Nahma, congratulations! I bet you're over the moon! It's horrible how obsessive I've become 😕 stressful as hell! I'll keep you posted later today! x

OP posts:
Beansprout30 · 22/02/2016 13:17

Have you not re tested yet Sarah?!

Sarah112233 · 22/02/2016 22:51

yeah bfn but it was a test from Tesco that I've never really trusted, period still hasn't come, opinions?
