I'm TTC and 10 days after ovulating, took a pregnancy test and I don't know if my eyes are
playing tricks on me from desperately wanting to be pregnant or if it's just still too early too tell, the first day of my last period was the 25th Jan, so I'm due febs period on Monday but I'm just too egar.
Took this test and downloaded one of those pregnancy test checkers and inverted the colours and I just wanted someone opinion on if I should retest in a few days, if it's a false negative, positive but faint or if I'm just looking the plot!!! There must be someone who's done this too 🙊😍😭❤️

I actually think I see it, especially in your last picture. It could be a evaporation line but I'm pretty sure I do see a line

slebmum1 · 19/02/2016 22:11

I can see a line in that one. DTs started off as a line like that:)

Whatdoidohelp · 19/02/2016 22:12

There is a second line but it is grey/white - an evaporation line. It needs to be pink to be a big fat positive

MissMedusa · 19/02/2016 22:13

Test again tomorrow. You're hcg values should be doubling every 2 days so it should already be clearer tomorrow.

SummerMonths · 19/02/2016 22:17

You really can't tell anything by changing colours. You could be picking up the shadow of the line that exists in every tryst and is full of the chemical that would react with HcG if you were pregnant. Or you could be picking up an early activation of that line. Who knows. Unless you get a coloured line on the actual test you just can't know. And if there is no line it may be because it's too early or it may be that you aren't pregnant. Again no way to know.

Testing early is tempting but expensive and can be heartbreaking. Step away from the tests until your period is late.

JessieMcJessie · 19/02/2016 22:31

Sorry OP I had a faint "line" on an FRER like this but my period came as usual. When I actually was pregnant the line at the same number of DPO was unmistakeable.

I fully understand how desperately you can want a line to be there though. My DH thought I was losing it when I kept getting him to squint. Monday will be here soon and you'll have your answer. Good luck!

Sarah112233 · 19/02/2016 22:32

I just ordered some cheap strips from Amazon that pick up on 10mUi/ml that should be delivered Tuesday so I'll try and distract myself until then and then test again...ill keep you ladies updated! We'll see if my period comes too Blush

I can see a 2nd line. Real squinter but it's there. My 1st line at 3w exactly wouldn't have shown up on a photo so was fainter than yours. Use another frer tomorrow or Sunday and hopefully you should see a darkening line. Ic's don't work for everyone, took weeks for me to get a positive on one which said it was 10mlu. Frer are the best, I hear super drug ones are good too but never used one myself.

Best of luck.

Keep us updated.

Sarah112233 · 19/02/2016 22:49

Do you think it's likely I am pregnant then?? I have so much hope this month, I tracked my ovulation and had brilliantly timed intercourse, I just have so much hope!!

Swollenankles83 · 19/02/2016 23:05

Unfortunately not one of us can tell you - test again on Tuesday and keep us updated!

Mslg · 19/02/2016 23:06

Nobody can really say if you are or not on a message board... If you are pregnant and wait you will probably get a stronger result as hcg levels rise.

stumblymonkey · 20/02/2016 08:05

I say this from a place of love and not judgement but you probably need to calm down a little or it's going to be even more disappointing to you if you're not...

I'm TTC our first too (and I'm another Sarah)

I'm quickly learning that symptom spotting is pointless and not to get too excited unless I actually see a genuine pink line as I had a test like yours but turned out to be an evaporation line.

Sorry...I sound like a totally misery guts in this post!

Sarah112233 · 20/02/2016 08:19

Hi Sarah!

No I know, it's exhausting constantly thinking about it, I just need to chill and let nature take its course xxx

I can see a shadow but It looks like a line I had on my one of the FRER it looks white/grey, mine was an evap. Could just be my eyes though. Good luck :)

AliceThrewTheFookingGlass · 20/02/2016 08:47

I think the line you're seeing is just the indent line where the dye would sit if it was positive. Every first response test I've ever taken has this colourless indent line (no other brand I've used has)

Fingers crossed never the less OP. Its not over till Mother Nature rears her ugly head.

Osirus · 20/02/2016 09:40

I really wouldn't test early. I have seen posts where others have had faint lines (clearer than yours) and their period has turned up as normal or tested again and got a negative. Just wait until you're due - it's the best way to know for sure. I TTC for two years - I only tested once, on my first cycle. I didn't test again until I'd had a blood test to confirm pregnancy after IVF. It can be a long road, so you need to be more laid back about it.

CatsCantFlyFast · 20/02/2016 09:48

Use a superdrug early response test.

Using the same urine sample the superdrug er test was the only thing to give me a clear line when the frer and cheapie tests were barely visible

okay!!

tealoveryum · 21/02/2016 13:07

I can't see a line I'm sorry Sarah. I know how frustrating and heartbreaking ttc can be. If you can avoid testing early, it's best not to. You can really tie yourself in knots and you could test early and then find you've had a chemical pregnancy, which is really upsetting.

Are you using preseed or preconceive? That can help if you aren't.

Sarah112233 · 21/02/2016 13:54

Hi! No I'm not using any of those, haven't really looked into it, first day of period is meant to be today so I'm going to wait until tomorrow/Tuesday and see what happens :)

FellOutOfBedTwice · 21/02/2016 13:59

Can you darken it up a bit? First pic is of a test I did just before Christmas and second is of the same test with the brightness turned right down. Just had my twelve week scan on that "squinter" and yours looks similar.

Normally a faint line is clearer than this. I truly hope you're pregnant but I think you definitely see two actual lines with these things (as it shows in the example on the box or pamphlet you get with it). Hoping for you though Flowers

tealoveryum · 21/02/2016 14:07

If it hasn't happened and I very much hope it has, try preseed- it really helped both my sister and I when we first used it. I'd tried for a year, used pressed for 1 month and conceived then. Sadly, didn't work out but now we are trying again I'm going to buy again. My sister used right away and happened very fast.

Might be worth a try?

tealoveryum · 21/02/2016 14:08

Oh and Superdrug test is best imo and pretty cheap compare to others.
