Hello all hoping to join this thread - had mmc at 10 weeks in July and took a break from TTC for the rest of 2015.

DH and I both wanted to take the time and said we would wait until after Christmas... got my BFP last week and I'm now 6+1. So reassuring to hear the good news from people here. I'm still in the very early weeks!

Northernlight22 · 21/02/2016 09:26

Hi Katie, as the other have said. I was told when I had my mc last time that I could be referred back to EPAU when I got pregnant again. Midwife did by booking in last week (at 6+5) and I told her how anxious I was feeling (actually got really upset again) and she's referred me straight through to the hospital so I'm just waiting on a reassurance scan date to come through.

LynseyH5 · 21/02/2016 10:08

Sorry for your loss Lillian but also a huge congratulations on your new pregnancy. The ladies on here have been really supportive to me and as you'll see, each other. The early days are an anxious time, I wish you the best of luck Smile

JayBeanie · 21/02/2016 13:06

Hey all, sorry I've been missing this week, I've my first week of feeling really queasy and the last thing I've wanted to do after looking at a computer screen all day is be on my phone/laptop on mn. Then yesterday I threw up for the first time, today I'm trying the bands you've been talking about and I'm feeling a little better. However bad I feel though I'm very glad to be feeling pregnant!! I am definitely not complaining!! My acupuncturist said needles can help but I'd just be worried again so I said no Hmm

Lovely to catch up today and here all about scans and good news. And big congrats to the newbies, we've all been there and know how worrying those early (and later) weeks can be but this is a great place for support.x

LillianFullStop · 21/02/2016 16:35

Thanks lynsey - the positivity in this thread is very encouraging I'm feeling very optimistic Smile

LynseyH5 · 21/02/2016 18:49

That's great. I'm also new to the site and its kept me sane. I go for a scan on Wednesday and it could possibly be bad news but this forum has really helped me stay calm. Hopefully we'll both be sharing super happy news soon!

keys27 · 21/02/2016 19:45

lillian congratulations on the pregnancy Hun. Wishing you a very healthy pregnancy. Any worries just post and were all here to offer a hand holding hand. Sorry to hear about your loss that happened to me back in May last year and I joined the ttc thread straight away in desperation but when my AF happened after my wtf cycle I decided it was unhealthy to try again straight away and got it in my head I was just trying to replace the baby I lost instead of taking time out to grieve and think about things. This pregnancy happened first month I came off the pill well I awaiting my appointment as I ran out had a few wines and honestly we only DTD once that month so I know my excate date. I am over the moon but been exmtreamly anxious. Without these guys also I dunno what I would of done. Good luck Hun.

lynsey thinking of you huni Wednesday is nearly here. Wishing you a really positive outcome. And thanks for the lovely words about us to lillian.

jay lovely to hear from you. Some great advice in here about trying to cope with sickness I think chandilier had been extremely sick and had some great alive. I really hope you start feeling better soon at least you're u know LO is ok and growing.

Good luck with your scan tomorrow chandilier xx

Hi everyone. I've not really done well on this thread! Congratulations to all the newbies.

katie it depends on your area I think. I had 2 mc last year and
even though I ended up crying on the mw Blush they wouldn't give me an early scan as I haven't had 3!!

I'm just waiting out the sick and tired phase and crossing everything that I get to my scan in 2 weeks!

Good luck all those with scans coming up especially lynsey. Thinking of you all

Northernlight22 · 22/02/2016 12:06

I've got a reassurance scan tomorrow - just heard from the hospital. Suddenly feel very nervous! I really really hope everything is ok.

Northernlight22 · 22/02/2016 12:07

It's really bad that even though it's 1 NHS there are such different rules across the system when it comes to scans / appointments.

LynseyH5 · 22/02/2016 13:39

Aw thank you lilliana Appt day tomorrow and not sure how I feel!
No problem keys, truly ment it as this has been a lifeline for me and kept me sane.
Good luck northern I hope all goes well and you bring back happy news!

chandelierswinging · 22/02/2016 13:40

Thanks for your good wishes Keys!

So, I had my 12 wk scan earlier,

What a lovely photo! Congratulations and so pleased for more happy news on this thread. Don't let the sonographer spoil it for you. Miserable bugger!!Grin

Lilliana · 22/02/2016 13:59

Yay chandelier that's such good news. So pleased for you

Eastend2015 · 22/02/2016 15:10

Hooray Chandelier! Many congratulations! The second trimester is definitely the best 😄 Xx

Turi1983 · 22/02/2016 15:13

chandelierswinging ah – yes, I think I need some anti-emetics! Love the scan, thank you for sharing. Sorry to hear about your crappy sonographer. So pleased to hear the scan went well. And to lose a week, what a bonus!

keys27 funnily enough, I find tuna and salmon help too!

lillianfullstop welcome to the thread. I’m sorry about your losses last year. I miscarried twins in July and had a suspected v early 2nd miscarriage in Oct. My EPU have been quite understanding - I can’t believe your EPU – how awful.

northernlight22 keeping everything crossed for tomorrow. Keep us posted.

I’ve had a tough weekend. I forgot my 5pm snack before leaving the office on Friday. Didn’t get a seat on the tube (and the motion made me feel even worse) and when I got home at 7pm I spent the next two hours with my head down the loo. I can’t believe I feel this sick. Spent a fortune on ginger cordial, ginger nuts, ginger oatcakes etc. I don't even like ginger! And I feel fat too - only 8 weeks, going to be an elephant!

keys27 · 22/02/2016 15:42

Ahhhhh congratulations chandilier what a loverly picture :) so happy for you. Your officially in your second trimester. Oh how long was we wishing to get to this scan

northern bless ya Hun your be ok your see LO tomorrow and be reassured for a few days. Hehe. I could not wait until I got a second scan. Your be fine Hun honestly have a nice bath tonight try and relax watch to until you can't stay awake much longer tomorrow will be here before you know it.

turi I don't miss them days when I was pregnant with DD1 and has to travel to and from London I found it made me so unwell. You need a baby on board badge. You would like to think someone would acknowledge you and other you sit down. I had. Have a scan of my cervix today and I was starving the only thing I could think of was a tuna and cucumber roll.

Hand holding with every one in their first trimester I would hate to go back there it's a very stressful time but everyone will get you through it. And to be honest the days go very fast the second trimester will soon be here. One of my fries asked today how far gone I was when I said just over 14 weeks she said your still very early I was like yeah I know when deep down to me I think I'm not that early anymore I've come so far.

Well I need to go to hospital tomorrow :( went for my scan they come back and said I've been booked in for 7am to have my stitch done have to go under general. I am really scared my hospital are not very good with day surgery so you find yourself in for a few days.

Good luck tomorrow northern I won't be able to catch up with you until I'm home I'm sure everything will be fine xxx

Yey! Excellent news chandelier! Lovely pic

Lucinda15 · 22/02/2016 16:26

Lovely pic chandelier so lovely to see things going well.

I am 5+6 and really struggling with anxiety. Had 2 mc's last year (4.5 and 11.5 weeks). Sometimes I feel ok but generally I feel certain it's all going to go wrong. I dnt really have any symptoms to speak of (although I know it's early and I must be careful what o wish for) but as the days go by I'm getting more anxious that I dnt have any yet. Only sore nips....which I think are getting better. It's just such a roller coaster and I dnt know how I'm going to get through this first trimester.

I have an early reassurance scan in 2 weeks (8 weeks pregnant) and counting down the days.

JayBeanie · 22/02/2016 20:43

Good luck tomorrow Lynsey, I really hope you get good news.

Keys I would be scared too but it will be worth it. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you don't have to stay in. Hope it goes well.

Lush scan pic Chandelier and thanks for the sickness advice, sounds like you had it bad! I'm not at the meds stage yet, it's taken until 9 weeks to get any real sickness so I'm prob just complaining about nothing, I've felt ok again today.

Turi where are you getting gingernuts from? I can't find them anywhere, I've waited my whole life to be pg for the excuse to eat gingernuts and now the factory has flooded and I can't buy any for love nor money Shock

LynseyH5 · 22/02/2016 21:17

Thank you jaybeanie you are a day early tho! My appt is Wednesday 11.30. Will keep you all posted x

JayBeanie · 22/02/2016 21:45

Oops, Lynsey I knew that, I was going to write my booking appointment is tomorrow but that is Wednesday too, mixing my days up. I'm wishing that extra day away for you Thanks

Threefaries · 22/02/2016 21:51

Sorry I have not managed to keep up with this thread. Congratulations on those joining with new pregnancies and fingers crossed for sticky babies.

Wonderful to see your lovely scan picture chandelier.

Fingers crossed for your scan Northern and looking forward to hearing you post with some lovely news. Also fingers crossed to others waiting for scans.

Lyndsey, sending you good luck wishes for Wednesday, I know a lot of us will be thinking of you. I bet the wait is driving you crazy.

sundayraspberry · 22/02/2016 22:13

Lovely scan pic chandelier budgies up to make room on the 2nd trimester fretting bench

Good luck tomorrow northern! And hope your stitch goes well keys.

Hi Lillian and welcome

Who mentioned gingernuts! I want gingernuts now! Im an eating machine today Smile. Just weighed myself and I'm close to having put on a stone so far!

Bowserlovesmojitos · 22/02/2016 22:17

Chandelier that's so wonderful :) And losing a week is a huge bonus - definitely off the first trimester fretting bench for you!

Northern and Keys I have once again crossed fingers, toes and eyes all goes well tomorrow for you both Smile

Lucinda I had a reassurance scan on Friday - seems silly to those who haven't experienced mc/loss but it can be such a help, I hope the next two weeks go quickly for you to get there!

Lynsey I hope you are taking care of yourself, and I know it is practically impossible to do, but please please try to not stress about things. It's so hard to be accurate so early and things change so quickly so scan on Wednesday could be positive - I hope you can have this in your mind alongside the darker thoughts. I, and i'm sure everyone else, though know what you are going through so have some Cake and a Brew for comfort as well!
