I'm driving myself insane with worry and driving my oh insane too as he thinks I'm being too negative and that I may make something bad happen by being so negative. I keep telling him it's really hard to be positive and not look out for warning signs for eg my boobs haven't been so painful the last couple of days, when something bad has happened before. He doesn't get it and is really cross with me and starts saying that he hoped it doesn't start affecting our relationship - sorry rant over.
Xx

Northernlight22 · 18/02/2016 19:48

I'm the same obsessedlex - every little thing I panic about! Dh is being super positive...

keys27 · 18/02/2016 19:52

womb wow 39 weeks I can't imagine it I've never reached that far before. I can't believe you could go into labour at any time now. I'm wishing you all the happiness in the world Hun.

dobby thanks for the tips Hun I will definitely use the ice cube trick in the summer. Hehe about the stove fire and OH I would be dying with the heat at nearly 38 weeks pregnant with that going on. I bet your hotter than a radiator arm.

lex I am so sorry you are feeling so nervous tomorrow will shed the light for you and hopefully put your mind at rest. I am sure your be fine it's so natural to worry I didn't sleep last night worrying about my scan today so I know how your feeling. Keeping everything crossed for you.

sophia you sound like me I do that even though deep down I am so so nervous and I am not ok. So happy mw heard baby's heartbeat. Are your u starting to feel flutters yet? Showing?

Well ladies I had my scan today. I was worrying as I was measuring small and had to go back in 10 days time. Well I had a much more experienced person do my scan today and instead of measuring 12+4 I am measuring 13+4 due date 21st August yay :). All downs testing etc is very low. He even told me I was having another DD yes 3 girls God help the teenage hormones in this house lol. The only thing they found was baby had a leaky heart valve so I've been put under a cardiac specialist who I will see in 3 weeks but he said it should clear up by itself and he would not be surprised if they say nothing's wrong when I go back. He also said if I had the scan at my local hospital it's something they wouldn't be able to pick up its such a small thing he was scraping the barrel so obviously I am worried but he told me it's nothing to worry about so I'm not. Fingers crossed all clears up before birth if it don't then it's so minor baby won't need surgery just check ups and won't effect her day to day life. Other than that see baby doing flips kicking away at me she was having a right kick it was so funny to see like bouncing off my womb. Got another scan on Monday as checking my cervix and having my stitch talked about then seeing the cardiologist in a few weeks so see baby again then I get another scan at 22 weeks. I am very lucky.

faries I am really hoping yOur ok did look to see if I could see a post from you.

Again everyone on the fretting bench again this week hand holding with you all. Xx

I haven't got a scan.

obsessedlex · 18/02/2016 19:58

Sorry posted too soon - I don't have a scan booked, I'm not sure about having an early one or whether it will just make me want more and more X

Crumbles12 · 18/02/2016 20:42

Wow congrats on the baby girl keys! How amazing they can tell so early on. Sorry to hear they gave worrying news also though, hopefully it all clears up by itself fingers crossed!

Threefaries · 18/02/2016 20:57

Hi Keys

What wonderful news, I'm so pleased for you. You sound like you have fantastic care by very experienced caregivers. It does make you wonder how much doesn't go noticed during dating scans because it sorts itself out as baby has time to develop. From what you say it does sound like they are anticipating baby will grow a little and you will be fully reassured. Excellent news re the downs screening.

I had my scan this morning and saw a wriggly little baby. I have three girls and it's just lovely. I think this one looks like another girl going by my photos. My due date is August 24th.

Lilliana · 18/02/2016 21:06

Glad scans are going well and congratulations on your little girl keys.

I have my scan 7th March when I'll be 11+4 by my dates so not too much longer to wait. Hoping the sickness eases soon as I'm so fed up with it (although it is also reassuring!)

Sophia1984 · 18/02/2016 22:29

Thanks everyone - feeling so much more chill after yoga tonight. Have the most wonderful teacher.

obsessedlex How far along are you? I think a certain degree of anxiety is normal but if you feel like it is really getting in the way of your life, don't be scared to mention it to your GP or midwife. I did and have been referred for perinatal mental health care, which is such a relief to know that support is there. I am also driving my DP mad as I am constantly seeking reassurance and he doesn't really understand.

Brilliant news keys :-) I haven't felt any flutters, but midwife thought she picked up some movement today. I am definitely showing and my belly button is starting to pop out! (which is really freaking me out..)

LynseyH5 · 18/02/2016 23:47

It's nice to see some positive posts popping up... thinking of you all x

Eastend2015 · 18/02/2016 23:53

Hooray lots of positive posts, congratulations all!

keys27 · 19/02/2016 07:03

Lovely news faries so pleased for you. I think me you and crumbles are due the same week. I know what you mean about picking little things up. I wish I didn't know but in a way at least if it does not clear up as you say I'm in the best care. He said he was scrapping the barrel with me as everything else was perfect and he is sure I'll be signed off cardiology care after the scan. It is worrying to know unless I was at their unit it would never of been picked up. He said even if it don't clear up its so small it won't effect baby's life and all. He also said anyone of us could be walking around with one it's more common in people in their 20's it's fascinating really what you learn. I am wishing these next 3 weeks away though any mummy would be nervous even if they were told not to worry. I suppose it sounds worse than it is.

bowser so sorry Hun do you have the scan today? If you do I really do hope all your worries are eased Hun. Will be thinking if you.

lex if your extremely nervous I would request an early scan only because your drive yourself insane with worry. I always thought if there's something wrong I'd rather know early if you see what I mean. Not saying there is anything wrong at all just mean it will stop the what ifs and all your worries. I always thought the worst through this pregnancy because of my previous mc's the early scans helped me through them weeks. Everybody is different though Hun. As sophia said don't be scared to talk to someone about how your feeling to calm your nerves that's what there their for. I will be calling my midwife for some support today about the heart as I. Will worry myself stupid ev n though I said I wasn't. I ok so in the day it's the night it's horrible you start overthinking things.

lynsey thanks for lovely comment Hun I know your really going through it atm Hun I know how u feel though I really do. Wishing the weekend to go fast for you Hun.

sophia so glad your getting the support you need Hun that's fantastic. And also that you've found a relaxing way of calming your nerves I am so sorry I didn't know how bad your anxiety was Hun. Well done you for speaking up as well there are prob a few of us feeling the same so the advice and push to get the help is fab. Ahhhhh you should start feeling baby very soon then how exciting. Hehe about the belly button I forgot they get pushed out.

Again thanks so much for the support and well wishes guys. Looking forward to the other dating scans coming up within the next few weeks. Next one is lillian I think? Not long at all until the 7th March Hun were nearly out of February. Spring is a much better season to be in as well more of a feel good season.

Can't wait to get into March and out of February! Feels like it's been a long month so far counting the days down!

keys27 · 19/02/2016 07:58

northen I remember just turning 6 weeks in January what a long month cold skint and full of worry couldn't wait to get out of it. February has been the same but can see the light at the end the tunnel now. March will be a lovely month and I'm sure it will go quickly for you as Easter is approaching. Your dating scan will be here before you know it once were out this month x

Morning all. Am 12 weeks today! And feeling vaguely human, or at least less rubbish anyway! I'm off the anti emetics and only vomiting once a day now, which is great progress. Pelvis has started playing up already though Sad but I expected that, and I'm trying to see it as a sign that everything is moving on as it should. Got the 12 week scan on Monday... Trying not to wish the weekend away!!!

Bowserlovesmojitos · 19/02/2016 08:17

Yes- have a scan today so everything crossed and trying to hope against pessimistic side.
Positive sign though is almost all bleeding/discharge has stopped so hopefully thats a good thing.
I'm sure you all understand it's difficult to believe things will be ok so maybe I am just being overly anxious.
Scan is at 9.30 so by 10am i'll be either over the moon or crashing.

chandelierswinging · 19/02/2016 08:30

Good luck Bowser!

Northernlight22 · 19/02/2016 08:36

LynseyH5 · 19/02/2016 10:20

Fingers crossed, eagerly awaiting news! X

Bowserlovesmojitos · 19/02/2016 10:46

Heartbeatheartbeatheartbeatheartbeatheartbeat! We saw our little one with strong little heartbeat and measuring in line with dates and as scan carried on it looked like there was a little boogie going on!
Still in tears as I was so sure it was going to be bad news but maybemaybemaybe things will be ok.
Thank you so so much for kind words and thoughts Smile Flowers

Sophia1984 · 19/02/2016 10:56

Hurray! Brilliant news Bowser! I Was so convinced something would be wrong at my 12 week scan and couldn't believe it when baby appeared - it's such a magic moment :)

Bowserlovesmojitos · 19/02/2016 11:06

Thank you Sophia. It is such a special moment Smile
I'm only 9weeks4 at the moment but needed the reassurance of a scan after previous mc and difficulties with this pg so far so booked this private one. Still nervous now and waiting for 12 week scan will be hard but I feel so much calmer.

Eastend2015 · 19/02/2016 11:41

Hurray Bowser! We were told the 9 week point was quite a pivotal point in development which is why many MCs happen just before this point. Hopefully you can relax a little now. Great news xx

LynseyH5 · 19/02/2016 11:59

Congratulations. Lovely news! Flowers
