I was like that a few weeks ago cockles, think it's normal. My "not wanting to be pregnant" moment was that I just didn't feel like me anymore as all I do is sleep, lounge about and feel rough!

MrPoppersPenguins · 15/04/2016 09:43

Thanks Lillian.
Had a brown discharge (sorry tmi) last night and this am so obviously somewhat worried. Just praying its implantation bleeding. Don't suppose there's any point in me contacting anyone about it as I've not even told anyone I'm pregnant and must literally be only just 4 weeks. Anyone else experienced this?

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 15/04/2016 11:28

Hi guys! Yes east! Had sweep today, already 2 m dialated....i knew I'd been in early labor this last week! She felt baby's head too, fully engaged, turned anterior (was po) so all systems ready to go!!! Grin
So odd, was a year to the day yesterday that I mc'd the first baby with my mmc...come full circle now...odd how things work out ay?!
Midwife reckons tonight/tomorrow...will let you all know how it goes...

Wish me luck! Smile xxx

Eastend2015 · 15/04/2016 11:59

GOOD LUCK Paws!!! Looking forward to seeing baby pics soon. Whatever happened to your DP? I remember you having a few headaches with him some months ago but can't remember how it all turned out.

Ladies with MS, hang in there and sleep as much as you can! X

chandelierswinging · 15/04/2016 12:15

Long time, no post!

Welcome all newcomers. Hand-holding right here Flowers

Paws Yay!!!! So excited for you. It was obviously meant to be this way. Good luck, and keep us posted!

MrP Yes, I did have that. If it turns red, gets heavier or is accompanied by pain, that is the time to ask for help. It's quite normal though, but that doesn't help when you've previously experienced mc. Stay calm and positive. I was told by a lovely MNer to repeat this mantra "Today, I am pregnant." It helped me.

Cockles Been there... finally got through it then my f-ing pelvis started falling apart and every now and then I resent it and am slowly starting to feel like this is going to happen this time. You're allowed to feel the way you do when you're suffering so much, previous mc or not. Be kind to yourself.

AFM: Had my "20wk" scan this week and everything was present and correct Smile Huge relief as I freaked out about my 1:220 risk factor for Down's. Obvs there are no guarantees, but I've relaxed a little more. Got a low lying placenta so have another scan booked in at 28wks when I see my consultant. Feeling a few movements now too. Grin

CocklesandMussels · 15/04/2016 12:36

You are all so sweet, you've made me cry a little bit.
Paws good luck!!!! Will be waiting for news
Chandelier that's great news on your scan.
MrP I had brown spotting at 5, 6, and 7 weeks. Scan at 7+5 was fine. It seems really common. Good luck with your pregnancy and congratulations.
Hi to everyone else and thanks for being so lovely.

rider1975 · 15/04/2016 12:48

Hi everyone - really enjoyed reading your stories and updates. Seems to be a very supportive thread. I had MMC in Oct 2014 - took a long time to recover. Now I'm 5 weeks (don't understand the +.. that u guys write .. Is that days?) Had a scan this week at Epu n next is in 1.5 weeks time to check for heartbeat.
Enjoying keeping up with you all and to know I'm normal 🙂

MrPoppersPenguins · 15/04/2016 13:08

Thanks for the comments, making me feel a little better. Lovely to hear those of you having successful scans and waiting to deliver!

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 15/04/2016 13:25

Thanks ladies! Will keep you updated!

east dh has been amazing these last couple of months,...we both have some issues we need to work on, but I think we'll get there...xxx

Welcome any newbies, its a long journey but you'll all get there...its amazing how quickly the time goes by once you're over the dreaded first trimester!....although the third trimester kinda drags too if your uncomfortable and in pain!

Eastend2015 · 15/04/2016 15:10

That's great Paws, I'm really happy for you.

Yup third trimester just beginning to bite here, bubs feels like he/she is trying to make a break out of my right side and it's so sore! I spoke to my parents and they were super supportive (we normally have quite a strained relationship) and it made me feel quite emotional so I had to grab a meeting room quickly to have a little cry. I have a cuppa now so feel loads better but I seriously need to get my shit together, only 31 weeks!!!

sundayraspberry · 15/04/2016 19:47

Hello newbies! Good luck with the dreaded first trimester. Great that your dp took the news well Sofia, guess he'd just been having a wobble after your mc.

Good luck paws! Hope little Samuel arrives safe and well

Great news about your scan chandelier hope that placenta gets a shifty on higher up your uterus in the next 8 weeks Smile

Nice to have a happy thread at the mo, we all know how things can change easily, am hoping no news is good news from keys too x

Hello penguins. You're in good company! These have been the hardest 5 weeks I've experienced for a while. Now at 9+2, I'm still not 100 % relaxed but certainly better.

I had my 9 weeks reassurance scan and everything looks good. I'm starting to relax a little bit and think this might actually be happening. Last time, the baby was measuring small, the hb was low and the yolk sac was out of proportion. This time, everything looking as it should. Risk of mc minimal, she said. But you know, that feeling is always there.

GP also prescribed some amazing indigestion tablets - as soon as nausea wore off, major indigestion took its place. Not sure which was worse. Still not feeling great but a lot better. I think feeling better physically really is helping my mental state of mind.

Saw my midwife on Wednesday too and she was great.

Now, just got to get to the beginning of May and, just maybe, I might believe things are really going to be ok.

economymode · 15/04/2016 21:09

Sorry, completely missed all the updates.

Paws very very exciting. Almost there!

Penguins I had dark brown discharge at 7 weeks and freaked. All ok though. It seems it is fairly common, not that that makes it any easier to deal with.

Cockles it is crazy how you forget the sickness. I was sick sick sick with my daughter, but it seemed a distant memory. Until it happened again. Thankfully, not so bad this time. But you really do have my sympathy.

Thank you all for all the support, I know I haven't been a ray of sunshine.

sundayraspberry · 16/04/2016 15:42

Hey keys great to hear your little one is staying put and stitch is holding, no pressure to post, just checking things had settled down for you with the contractions.

And v good the scan went well economy just shows that measurements can be off on early scans but catch up a few weeks later on.

MrPoppersPenguins · 16/04/2016 16:34

Not good news here I'm afraid. Bad cramps last night and bleeding this morning- been to the out of hours GP who was brilliant. Ruled out an ectopic pregnancy. There's no way I can still be pregnant with the amount of bleeding I'm having now. I already had a scan booked for this week anyway (a follow up from last mmc) so just have to wait til then and see what it shows. Wonder if this is technically a chemical pregnancy since I had a BFP on wed. Think I'm going to give my body a rest for a few months to let things settle down (hadn't had a period between mmc and this BFP/bleed). Good luck to all those hanging on in there. Hope I'll be back soon X

LillianFullStop · 16/04/2016 17:38

I'd had brown spotting at 6 weeks too penguins - gave me a good scare but midwife said it was likely implantation bleeding as its normal for some blood vessels to get in the way as the little one beds in.

Glad to hear all is well keys!

Had my NT scan yesterday and was happy to see the little one waving and bouncing happily in there. Dating now at 12+6 so here's to 2nd trimester from tomorrow! NT measurements in normal range now waiting for blood test results

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 16/04/2016 17:39

penguins sorry to hear the bleeding has picked up Sad not trying to give false hope, but some women have massive bleeds and all turns out to be ok! I had a mmc followed directly by a spontaneous mc at the gestation you currently are...I obviously fell pg again and am now eagerly trying to evict this little man! So there is always hope hunny, if its bad news at the scan then perhaps have a rest and focus on 'you' and getting you nice and healthy both emotionally and physically...above all be kind to yourself, keeping everything crossed for you xxx

sunday not long till maternity leave now! Glad your getting on ok Smile x

keys lovely to hear from you! You must be feeling better that you're nearly over the danger zone so to speak...(meaning 24 week mark)
Echoing what others have said, no pressure to post, take time for yourself to chill if you can! X

No news here....few contractions that have had me wondering, but nothing substantial! Dtd, evening primrose oil, raspberry leaf tea, ball bouncing, orgasm Blush NOTHING!!!
keep having shows though, and constant cramping, so perhaps it'll all kick off for real soon!!! No point going in if only 2cms...Hmm

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 16/04/2016 17:43

Lillian & chandelier congrats on scans! Grin

east that tiredness hits with a vengance by the end! They can definitely kick up a storm cant they?!'Wink funny how we beg for movement, and by the end...wish they wouldn't move quite as much obviously still lovely to feel them move, but gosh it becomes uncomfortable sometimes, especially when they pick a favourite place

MrPoppersPenguins · 16/04/2016 17:59

Paws- thanks so much for your kind words (I nearly cried lol). You're right I need to chill and focus on good overall health. X

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 16/04/2016 19:54

I know how hard it is, the 'not knowing'...and we all know how heart breaking bad news can be...but you are strong and you will get your happy ending eventually, no matter how difficult the journey is xxx

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 16/04/2016 19:57

eco congrats on your scan too!

Bowserlovesmojitos · 16/04/2016 21:36

Penguins similar to paws in not trying to give false hope but at 5 weeks I had massive amounts of bleeding, passed huge clots (so big I felt them coming out) and a sac. I was devastated and due to it not stopping had to have a scan in case it was an incomplete mc.....whereupon the sonographer then showed me my baby who was hanging on in there after their twin had left.
Sounds like it couldn't be possible but honestly there is always hope until you know for sure - i'm currently 18weeks after that horrible start!

economymode · 17/04/2016 08:18

penguins I had exactly the same happen as bowser in my first pregnancy. Surviving twin is now almost 5. But all you can do is get yourself checked out and look after yourself, whatever the outcome is. Like others, I don't mean to give false hope x

MrPoppersPenguins · 17/04/2016 10:11

Thanks everyone. I'm feeling quite realistic and surprisingly ok actually. I think I was just shocked to get a BFP so quickly after the mmc I didn't quite believe it anyway! Will see what scan shows. It's interesting to hear others experiences though. X
