Found out I'm pregnant yesterday but slight bleeding

I'm very happy with the news ☺️
Also confused and worried. I had what I thought was a period - started 31/1/16 and enough to wear a tampon for 2/3 days, mainly brown blood but tampon was soaked. I then started to bleed on Sunday night- red blood but small amount. Don't normally bleed between periods hence the pregnancy test yesterday. Rang 111 and saw my gp who took bloods yesterday and more bloods on Thursday to measure hcg levels. I'm so worried. Woke this morning and no more blood overnight, I have sickness and mild cramping.the period before the brown one started 5/1/16. Pregnancy test shows 1-2 weeks (but that's from conception).anyone else had this and all turns out ok?

Lynsey, I really do think you will be absolutely fine. Spotting normal and I would have thought unlikely you'd have a BO again x

Until an hour ago I'd have agreed. I've been toilet cos I had a bit of belly ache and had 2 huge smears of bright pink stuff. Not quite red but close. I've just cried my eyes out cos I know now that it's gonna be bad news. I spotted last thurs, Fri and sat. Nothing Sunday or Monday, now this. I've been staying as positive as possible til now. Now I just feeling like my heart is breaking.

Applecrumbling · 16/02/2016 20:03

Only smears? Try not to panic.
I know how you feel. I had heavy bleed last Friday. You can have heavy bleeds and all can still be ok x

I really wish I shared your positivity Sad I haven't dared go back to the toilet. I need to but I'm scared. The pains are like mini stabs really low now.

Applecrumbling · 16/02/2016 20:12

I felt that last week but my hcg still increasing. Could be stretching pains. Can you go to A&e ?

Sorry, didn't mean to scare or panic you there, just thought you might get some answers sooner than tomorrow. X

Guys, I am thinking of you. Can you put on something distracting on the telly and try to take your mind off things?

I'm counting down the minutes til Happy Valley starts (and spending way too much time online!)

LynseyH5 · 16/02/2016 20:36

I don't live with my partner and kids are in bed so I can't go anywhere. I know the chance of them actually scanning me tonight would be really low too so I'm gonna have to hold on. I've finally been the toilet and there was much less colouring. Since I spotted last week, I've been doing a bit of housework but resting as much as possible, today was first time out and I was carrying heavy shopping, do you think that could have prompted the bleed? Pains have subsided slightly now.
Arborea, I'm doing exactly that. Trying to watch something to keep distracted but my mind keeps wondering xx

Applecrumbling · 16/02/2016 21:16

It's probably just stretching pains. Glad you're staying distracted. I don't live with partner either - not long until the morning now - we are getting there. I'm feeling lots of symptoms but scared its for nothing. But I'm still praying and hoping. Good to distract yourself- I'm tired so put son to bed and have come to bed myself x

Fingers crossed for you Lynsey, do try and take your mind off it somehow, I've just dragged my husband out for dinner to take our minds off it and now watching super vet! Applecrumbling I think I am just over 5 weeks and been bleeding for nearly 3 now 😕

LynseyH5 · 16/02/2016 22:00

Thank you for your support. For some reason I've suddenly got the munchies and just raided the cupboards.
Linzie you must be going out of your mind but it's good your distracting yourself. I wish you all the best.
Apple, my fingers will be crossed for you as much as myself tomorrow. I hope we all come back with good news xx

Applecrumbling · 16/02/2016 22:04

Yes fingers crossed. This forum is one of the things really helping me at the moment. X

Same. It helps talking to ladies who are experiencing a similar situation. My partner is good in many ways but not at emotion. I asked him to just go home and leave me earlier cos I'd rather be on my own, he just said don't think about it, but that's impossible! Xx

Applecrumbling · 16/02/2016 22:35

Just had argument with my partner 😔

lilywhite32 · 16/02/2016 22:57

I've my fingers crossed for all you ladies. Had spotting myself at 7 weeks and have a healthy 2 year old girl now. Lots of positive thoughts going your way.

LynseyH5 · 16/02/2016 23:25

Thank you lilywhite. It's comments like yours I've been trying to focus on :-)

Lj8893 · 17/02/2016 10:19

Good luck for today ladies Flowers

Applecrumbling · 17/02/2016 10:38

Well I'm writing this from the hospital bed. Go to hospital and nearly fainted. Blood pressure low and slight spotting. They need to rule out ectopic. Feeling very vulnerable.

Been watching this post for a while but I didn't have anything useful to add.
Just wanted to say I really hope everything works out ok for you all. Thinking of you apple Flowers

Lj8893 · 17/02/2016 11:24

Oh hope your ok apple low blood pressure could well be attributed to stress and worry.

kirinm · 17/02/2016 11:29

I'm so sorry Apple but you are in the best place. I've been in your shoes and was admitted because of low blood pressure myself.

If it is ectopic, it will very quickly become about ensuring you are well and without wanting to be dramatic making sure your life is not at risk. The EPU were very good with me but also very honest and frank about what an ectopic means.

I hope that isn't what you're going through but I am here to hand hold if the worst happens.

MsFiremanSam · 17/02/2016 11:37

Been watching too. Apple hope you are ok. Got everything crossed for you x

FindingNormal · 17/02/2016 11:42

I truly hope everything is ok. I had bleeding /spotting with my first pregnancy which sadly led to Mmc at 8 weeks ( having seen a heartbeat the previous week). My second pregnancy I bled and spotted until 9 weeks and everything was OK even though at the first scan (5 weeks) they told me it was a 'pregnancy of unknown location' and I prepared myself for the worst. Like you I was shocked to see a rise in hcg. Everyone is different though and as a pp said- there is nothing you can do to change what will be. There is also nothing you have done to make whatever us happening happen. Just be good to yourself BrewThanks

Applecrumbling · 17/02/2016 15:27

Thanks for your kind words. I'm home now, my blood pressure rise, heomoglobin levels rise (which suggests no internal bleed) and hcg levels rose from 136 to 200.
No symptoms of ectopic, no pain at all, no bleed. Doctor said he has seen cases where it can still be ok? Not sure if he was being nice?
So I'm back home and back in limbo land. Back in 48 hours for more bloods.
