Found out I'm pregnant yesterday but slight bleeding

I'm very happy with the news ☺️
Also confused and worried. I had what I thought was a period - started 31/1/16 and enough to wear a tampon for 2/3 days, mainly brown blood but tampon was soaked. I then started to bleed on Sunday night- red blood but small amount. Don't normally bleed between periods hence the pregnancy test yesterday. Rang 111 and saw my gp who took bloods yesterday and more bloods on Thursday to measure hcg levels. I'm so worried. Woke this morning and no more blood overnight, I have sickness and mild cramping.the period before the brown one started 5/1/16. Pregnancy test shows 1-2 weeks (but that's from conception).anyone else had this and all turns out ok?

Had red blood bleeding like a period. Guess my bloods will co firm miscarriage this morning 😢

Fingers crossed and positive vibes coming your way. Hopefully if it was brown blood then it was old period blood. It's the bright red stuff you want to look out for.

Hcg levels gone from 45 to 78 so not quite doubled and I think low for 5 weeks. Scan on Monday. Always seems to be blood loss on a morning? No pain though and has stopped again

What sort of bleeding is it? Heavy / light? Is it very dark blood? Did your GP mention the possibility of an ectopic? It is not my intention to worry you but slow rising low HCG levels can be signs of a pregnancy that is not in the right place. Your levels are still very low and it's unlikely anything will show on a scan that early.

Do you have an early pregnancy unit near you? I know it's Friday so it's a pain but it might be worth trying to speak to someone there rather than a GP.

Hi Applecrumbling, how are you? Have you had your blood test results back yet from this morning? I am going through the exact same thing, had blood test on Tuesday, got the results back yesterday, HCG was at 170, had more blood tests today and I get the results back on Monday. I did another pregnancy test yesterday as well even though i shouldn't have and the weeks indicator had gone down from 2-3 back to 1-2 so I am not hopefull now. Been bleeding brown blood now for nearly two weeks. I just wish we could know for sure one way or another, it's this limbo waiting that's hurting.

So sorry Lizzie you are going through this too.
The blood this morning was like period blood, bright red, quite a bit of it wiped etc but then nothing again. It happens very suddenly, I have no pain.
They have checked for ectopic and aren't worried about that. I'm just tender right in the middle of lower tummy. Test still positive- I know, I know.
They said if gets worse over the weekend to go to A&e. At least I'll have my partner here.

The gp spoke to epu when I was there. They did say that might not be able to see anything on scan yet..
The blood initial started as brown spotting. Yesterday had brown blood, enough to soak pantyliner, today red period like blood that you would need more than a pantyliner for tampon/pad- almost like when I'm on my heaviest day on my period. It lasted around 10 minutes I wiped sorted myself out- then nothing.

I think I am around the same as you 4/5 weeks, I've not had a proper period in about 10 months after coming off the pill so not 100% sure. I haven't had any real symptoms unlike you bar feeling tired(which in all honesty I think is because I'm been constantly worried!) and slightly sore boobs. Been spotting or bleeding ever since I took the test as well. Also keep doing tests like you, also know I shouldn't and the clear blue ones went up from 1-2 weeks to 2-3 weeks earlier this week and then I took another one yesterday and it was back down to 1-2 weeks.

I'm hoping that the outcome will be determined on Monday, same for you as well, this is a horrible situation to be in x

I know Lizzie. I've slept today and it has given me so sanity back. It's the being in limbo/ nothing you can do that's frustrating. You feel happy, imagine the future and then feels like it is being taken away. It's v emotional. Little things are setting me off and I'm feeling v angry around people which isn't fair and the reason I'm staying out of the way... Partner coming tonight- haven't seen him since last weekend so happy to have him with me just to be there in case need to go to hospital over the weekend. How are you distracting yourself? X

Exactly the same, short tempered isn't the word! My husband is being lovely though! I don't think it helps that I am usually a very active person always at the gym or out running and sinc this I haven't done anything just incase it makes the bleeding worse so I am going up the walls! I have been eating everything in site instead, lots of pizza and cake. this is the first time in a while I will be wishing the weekend away to get to Monday! X

Same here- always at the gym too. Did 8 k race last Saturday not realising I was pregnant as thought I'd had my 'period' and had a bad fall.
I'm feeling unreasonably irrational and today just gave up! I've been shopping and got fresh fruit etc now. Feel like I've been to hell and back in the last week. In tesco didn't feel part of the rest of the world 😔

Hello, I hope you don't mind me keeping an eye on where your journey takes you. I'm currently 6+3 and am also spotting with a stringy pink/brown discharge. I only had these symptoms once and that resulted in a blighted ovum, I'm incredibly scared that it's happening again. I have booked a private scan for Wednesday to put my mind to rest one way or another. I have read many articles and stories about bleeding during pregnancy and see there a lot of success stories so fingers crossed for you and me! Xxx

Can it not be positive for many weeks after a mc though? I'm not wanting to depress you or get your hopes up but I'm thinking by statistics, the amount of women that bleed that go on to have healthy pregnancies is good. I think if you were in the process of a miscarriage, you would be in more pain? I had the d&c so thankfully didn't have to experience it but I'm keeping positive for you....I think your just like me in the sense we are both going round the bend and driving ourselves mad. You have your scan tomorrow and I so hope you come back with good news

I just realised you said it could be a false positive, read it wrong.
I'm going to focus on positive thoughts for you, as I am for myself. I've talked to the stars, my belly, fresh air and the picture of my grandad who passed away years ago. Anything that helps at the time cos as ok as I feel right now, I swing between moods xxx

I bled off and on throughout the first 10 weeks of my pregnancy. I remember that feeling of being in limbo very well.

On the day of my 12 week scan I was feeling really guilty for all my work colleagues who were so excited all morning before I went to the scan because i was certain they were going to tell me I had miscarried. So it was a big shock when all was lovely on the scan! Dd is now 2 years old and poking me with a wand as I type this!

That's the exact kind of story we all need, one with a positive feel and great outcome xx

I hope you all get the same outcome! Bleeding in pregnancy, especially the early days, can be very common and completely normal.

Let us know how you get on with the test, I've not done another one, but bleeding has got much heavier this weekend and red, no pain though or anything. Just waiting for doctors Appointment and blood results tomorrow and then will know either way. I can't believe so many women go through this x

Well, test came back positive 1-2, but took a while to come up.
I've had no bleeding whatsoever, no spotting since Friday morning when I had the heavy bleed.
I'm thinking is that the miscarriage over or what was it and is all ok now?
Scan at 9am tomorrow morning. But probably too early to see anything so will this go on anyway? Maybe they will do more bloods and see if levels are increasing.
If it was a miscarriage then I had no pain at all, but only just over 5 weeks.
I still feel pregnant, sore boobs, stretching in lower abdomen by no sickness. Guess perhaps I would though if hormones still there and hcg levels not back to normal. I'm hoping I'll know tomorrow to move forward in some way..

When you say bleeding, how heavy was it ? On Friday, mine was like the worst day of my period. It lasted 10 or so minutes then nothing. No clotting but bright red blood
