bunny if your woried get down a&e now they got to have a ultra sound somewhere in the hospital and they will give you a good check over as well and also if your losing blood they will have someone see you straight away with out the waiting because you would be classed as priority hope things are alright my prayers are going out to you honey

Oh Bunny I can't believe this, oh lovey, I can't imagine how you must be feeling, and after such a lovely day with ds. I'll be praying for you tonight and tomorrow; hope you can sleep a bit. Love J xxxxx

fisil · 14/05/2004 07:26

good luck today bunny. I really hope everything goes well. I had bleeding at 4, 8 and 12 weeks when I was pg with ds, so yes, it is common. And it's good that it stopped last night.

I am thinking of you. Hope to see some good news soon. And if it isn't good news remember that we are all here for you.

Just noticed this thread Bunny - Good luck today. If it's any comfort to you, I was in hospital with a girl who had cervical erosion and bled on and off throughout her entire pregnancy. She was 31wks pg and fine that last time I spoke to her. Her first bleed was at 6wks. Baby seemed unphased by it all!

Bunny, so sorry to hear about this scare. I really hope everything's alright.

Grommit · 14/05/2004 09:14

HI Bunny - Sorry didn't reply earlier - I had light bleeding and it was mostly brown but some red. Doc didn't give a reason for the cervical erosion but just said I had the symptoms. I did also have mild cramping. I do hope you are OK x

Ghosty · 14/05/2004 09:23

Hi Bunny. I've had bleeding twice this pregnancy - at 8 weeks and again at about 24. Early ine they thought was probably cervix, later one probably a small tear in placenta (low lying). The first but not the second was accompanied by some cramping. Baby is still fine.
Going to hospital is broadly good advoce, but only if they have gynae facilities. I went to my local hospital a&e which has no gynae at 8 weeks, sat around for about 3 hours while they told me nothing but wrote in their notes, which they gave me, that they thought I was having a m/c. Thoughtless b***ds. Then transferred me to a hospital with maternity facilities where I was scanned and found to be fine. So do go, but to the hospital where you're likely to be delivering, even though you haven't booked in yet.
If the bleeding has eased up it is likely to be good news but they do like to check you as some of the things which casue bleeding, even though not m/c, can be harmful to you or baby.
Lots of love and good luck.

bunny2 · 14/05/2004 10:50

My baby's fine. I am so relieved, I cant believe it. He/she is the perfect size for 12.4 and bouncing around all over the place and sucking his thumb. I cried while I was being scanned and the sonographer (lovely one) couldnt get a good pic until I stopped sobbing. There is a collection of blood under the baby which is where the bleeding is coming from. The pain I have is nowhere near the baby, dh thinks it is my bowels so probably down to too much birthday cake yesterday

Now I am going to relax and stop worrying all the time.

Thank you for all your wonderful messages of support, it means alot to me.
