baby It is very difficult to see anything conclusive on a scan before 6 weeks, most obstetric professionals will not even consider scanning you before then because of the uncertainty. But your blood results are really encouraging!
bing You need to chase chase chase them, both your GP and your midwife team - there is so often a complete disconnect, they don't know how to work together. It's the same with my GP - they are completely cut off from the midwife actions, which is ridiculous, they should be working together! Sorry that you have this additional worry, hope you can sort it out quickly.
Great scan news panda
mrsD That sounds amazing. I think I will steal your idea and ask my mum to knit me a rainbow baby blanket!
tft Lots of cm is totally normal in pregnancy! I had lots with DS and lots this time as well - I sometimes have to change my pants during the day
It's one of those totally un-glamorous things in pregnancy that no one ever tells you about.
Can I ask those of you who have had/will have an ELCS if you were offered steroid injections to help develop baby's lungs before the op? The consultant discussed this at great length with us yesterday - I was a bit surprised, as I thought that you only get them when you're at risk of premature labour/birth, but not for a planned cs. But apparently you do now - but it'll be up to us to decide if we want it, as there is apparently still not enough solid data to prove its benefit for certain... Any information would be helpful!
