Hiya, i'm nine weeks pregnant and way more emotional than i ever have been when pregnant before. I cry at the drop of a hat. I was feeling dreadful the other night and cried when d gave me a blanket. but the stupidest was last night, we were watching Gordan Ramseys kitchen nightmares, and i started sobbing when he told the chef that his meal was nice! I can't be alone... Any one?

My sister told me I was starting to waddle. She meant it affectionately ie how lovely you've reached that stage... but I burst into tears and was still sobbing 20 minutes later.

flamesparrow · 15/11/2006 14:32

Lack of peas. My mum cooked us dinner, and announced she had no peas and we'd be having beans... I sobbed hysterically!

I sobbed my eyes out when I saw the Hovis advert with the boy and the girl in the field of wheat.

Predominantly rabbits.

All through first preg, just took the sight of any live rabbit in the wild to set me off. God knows why. I saw a poorly one once in a car park and cried for an hour while DH bravely comforted me whilst biting the insides of his cheeks to stop himself laughing at me. Not really sure what it was, I just used to think they were alone, and cold, and probably lost or unhappy (no evidence at all to suggest this, probably happy little buggers in reality) and I could imagine how they felt......

Still get sent rabbity themed cards now.....

i became utterly distraught when my favourite chef lost on Ready Steady Cook!!

flamesparrow · 15/11/2006 14:37

Oh god yes Munz... I spent the afternoon making a lovely dessert - put it in my posh wine glasses in the fridge to cool - they fell out and shattered everywhere when I opened the fridge.

Called my mum a sobbing, snotty mess because

  1. dinner was ruined
  2. my special glasses were dead
  3. I had glass and pudding all over my kitchen floor and in my fridge and
  4. I had sat on the floor to clear it and couldn't get back up

When I was about 35 weeks pg my husband went to an England football match. He was getting the train there so he and his friend could have a drink and he said that I shouldn't wait up. I absolutely broke down in tears and he said he wouldn't go if it upset me that much. I told him I was crying because he actually had a life and could go out when he wanted and had friends!!!! he calmed me down and said I should spend the afternoon with my girlfriends so I got in the car and drove round 3 of my friends houses to find none of them were in. I felt like billy no mates when I got home but had a good laugh about it. Couldn't believe that I was crying because I wasn't going to a football match!

suzywong · 15/11/2006 15:12

dh buying me a fancy pair of trousers from Camden Market that were ever so slightly too small. I was 13 weeks and thought he was having a pop.

Drusilla · 15/11/2006 15:17

I caught DH making a bacon and egg sarnie that I thought he had made for me, but then just as my mouth started watering he shoved half of it in his mouth and announced that I couldn't have any as the eggs were past their best-by date. Sobbed my eyes out

ProfYaffle · 15/11/2006 15:18

I'm 24 weeks and think my crying episodes so far have been quite justified.

I currently only own 2 pairs of maternity trousers, dd peed on both pairs and I had to go and pick dh up from the station wearing pyjamas (was v upset about that one)

Then at dd's music group when she was singing Twinkle Twinkle while holding a string of shiny stars, made me sob.
