Good luck today genni
Bristolian I think its a bit hit and miss re the doppler- some in here haven't been able to hear it yet and others have been able to so I think it depends on the midwife and or area
Tootles that's really good my midwife hasn't even mentioned the classes yet and I'm almost 20 weeks! X

hi dobby, think we're the early birds here. Nice to have someone whose at the same stage and has done it all before. I really like the idea of hypnobirthing as I worry where I am (not Uk) doesn't have the same options for giving birth as the UK... Very far off yet but it's always good to research these things and it will stop me buying things online!

Had repeat blood results today and hcg is 3270 at 22dpo. Does that sound about right?? The doctor was fucking clueless as you tend to find here ????

Also a bit worried about recurring stitch like pain on my right side. Did anyone else have this early on?

gennibugs · 26/06/2015 10:43

Thank you all. I will report back later. I'm so nervous I can't sit still!!

If all continues well I'm need to start looking at booking some classes etc. got a load of leaflets from my midwife - now to decide whether to NCT or not!

Amyyy27 · 26/06/2015 11:25

Good luck genni x

dobbythedoggy · 26/06/2015 11:39

Hi camry, I'm worrying about every little thing. We can worry together! I'm waiting to see my gp as his on holiday, hoping he'll be helpful, or atleast let me refure early to the midwife. Think I'm having a few twinges, but may well be imagining it because as soon as I move I feel fine. I don't think constipation is helping either. It's making me freak out a little... Strangely reasured that I was actually sick this morning. It was like going back in time 3 years only I wasn't trying to rush out to work.

Bristolian1 · 26/06/2015 14:46

Had a lovely midwife appointment and even got to hear the heartbeat! Very lovely Smile

gennibugs · 26/06/2015 17:15

Hello all.

Quick update to say 20 week scan was all fine. Apart from a rather uncooperative baby! But after much star jumps, sugary drinks, walk and multiple trips to the loo we got there. managed to get some really good pictures too. So all in all relief.

bristolian glad your appointment went well and you got to hear the HB! That's great Grin

Bristolian1 · 26/06/2015 17:31

Great news genni!

chasingtherainbow · 26/06/2015 18:19

I'm back! Lovely hols. Baby boy was very quiet some days which is worrying but just goes to show there's still no pattern at 20weeks!

Just catching up! Welcome to newbies! I see mnhq have changed the thread title for us now which is fabby.

I get a stitch pain on my left side. I also am just now starting to get rid of the constant pain from my right ovary where I had ectopic previously. I kept my tube so guessing it's scar tissue perhaps. Thought I'd mention that incase anyone gets similar.

My bump is huge. .Has been since I peed on the stick pretty much! DH took some pics on hols and I'm gonna be honest and say I was pretty upset when I saw them! I gained alot of weight after I had dd (well.. during.. then lost lots then gained it with stress of returning to work) so my pre baby size ten hard worked for body is now a very curvy size 16. Add on my ginormous bump and it can make for some horrific photo angles! Up until now I'd gained zero weight but after lots of fish and chips and pasties I'll assess the damage when I get the courage to hit the scales in a few days Grin

Anyways your posts reminded me of the time I was pregnant with dd. Walking out of a restraint with mil behind me when she says "oh yes chasing - I see you've gained weight now" Shock

So glad to see all the good scan news! I'm booking a 4d one to check it's definitely and absolutely a boy around 28 wks for dd to attend. We think we've agreed on a boys name too while we were away. . Maybe!

Missed you all! X

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 26/06/2015 18:36

Hurray!

onefootinthebed · 26/06/2015 23:59

Hi great news genni, did they really make you do star jumps?

Bristol was it fast or slow, ds was like a train but this one is like a galloping horse.

Off to Cornwall tomorrow, chasing hope you had a good holiday.

My bragging yeasterday about my fantastic sleep got me nowhere this morning up at 4.50am today. Can't belive I am still awake and full of hay fever. This is what I look like at the minute???????? ( add the sunglasses and mask together). I am wondering weather to take my notes or not ? .

Be in touch soon , take care of yourselfs and those lovely bumps x

chasingtherainbow · 27/06/2015 08:16

Have a fab time onefoot- it's set to be a scorcher! Just a word of warning the A30 near bodmin is down to one lane and the traffic is just awful. Our 4 hour journey home was SEVEN in the end. Apparently work there is spanning till spring 2017 ffs

Amyyy27 · 27/06/2015 09:03

Great news genni :D

bristol lovely you got to hear HB !

chasing my little boy is the same, some days he is really active others I am lucky to feel one or two kicks the whole day! Worried me at first but I'm sure he is fine and just hiding at the back. I have an anterior placenta too so I imagine there will will be a lot of movement cushioned. Oh and great news on a name!! We wanted a list so we could pick one when he is here but we can only agree on one so I've already started calling him it every now and then, oops!

onefoot hope you have a lovely holiday!

Barbiedoll79 · 27/06/2015 10:50

Great news about your scan genni and glad you got to hear the hb bristolian :-) have a great time one foot

Tootle10 · 28/06/2015 08:00

Yay genni great news, and bristol how exciting to hear the hb.

Happy holidays onefoot and glad you enjoyed yours chasing!

DH and I went to a work party last night and got in at 1am. Having been the most sober person there, I'm now lying in bed feeling sick! Doesn't quite seem fair Confused.

I'm 12 weeks today Smile Feels like a milestone. And I bought a pair of maternity jeans yesterday - went to a little maternity boutique not far from where we live just to have a look and ended up trying a pair on - they were so comfy I couldn't resist!

gennibugs · 28/06/2015 17:04

Thanks all!

Hope everyone had a good weekend. I'm nervous about this supposed heatwave next week - the tube is going to be unbearable if true! Shock

chasingtherainbow · 28/06/2015 17:08

Genni me too. Monday and Tuesday set to be hot enough. . But I'm not sleeping as it is in this heat Wednesday nights I'll be working too...

Gr33dyeggs · 29/06/2015 10:03

Hi all. Glad you had a nice hol chasing and lovely scan news genni.
12 weeks is a milestone tootle :-)
I'm in bed feeling rubbish. Still anxious over the BV especially when scooby is being quiet - the angelsounds has been a lifesaver. I'm shattered through a combination of weekend working and a cold.
I'm also wondering what to wear if we do get the heatwave. Not much summery stuff I'm my maternity wardrobe!

Amyyy27 · 29/06/2015 10:12

Well we were expecting a hot day today and it has clouded over and looks like it will rain! I'm not complaining though.. I'm hot enough as it is!

Greedy sorry you are worrying but its only natural after what you have been through - although I'm sure baby will be fine :) I love my angelsounds! He has days where he is extremely quiet and when I use it he seems to wake up and start kicking it!

Barbiedoll79 · 29/06/2015 14:24

Woohoo tootle lovely getting over that milestone!
Genni hope you're feeling better soon
No such luck here amyyy it's hot and I'm stuck in my hiding my bump clothes so really feeling the heat now I've been hiding indoors until the school run now got to venture out for an hour and a half

I felt so ill over weekend- seems to happen every weekend Atm (think it's tiredness) and getting hot flushes on and off all the time anyone else getting that? (Tying to work out if it's just another stage although don't remember getting it with dd) x

OP posts:
Amyyy27 · 29/06/2015 14:44

Oh Barbie I feel for you :( the sun has came back out here but was cool enough earlier to keep our building cool. I am getting hot flushes though! Have done for a good couple of weeks or so. I think it is just normal pregnancy crap to add to the list! I am also more poorly on weekends too which I am sure is tiredness through working all week!

chasingtherainbow · 29/06/2015 14:56

I.am.melting.

Barbiedoll79 · 29/06/2015 18:13

Glad I'm not the only one :-)
Apparently London is supposed to be 35 on Wednesday- hope there's not too many from London on here.
I'm on holiday wednesday woohoo :-)

OP posts:
gennibugs · 29/06/2015 22:08

I am dreading the heat on Wednesday. I don't have anything to wear which is formal enough for work, cool and which fits bump. Wish I was on holiday! Grin

greedy hope you are feeling better today.

Barbiedoll79 · 30/06/2015 07:38

20 weeks today :-) finally halfway!! Scan tomorrow- once past that hopefully this weeks nerves and anxiety will disappear and I can start really trying to enjoy it! (Here's hoping) can't believe how lovely it feels to get over that milestone x
