thanks pizza bet you cant wait to wreak revenge Grin

we barely have room for us two nevermind a baby as well and flat is damp so luckily for me not much choice about moving.

ooh a pre-booking presentation sounds interesting, hope all goes well and you get through it without dp!

thesmallbear · 11/05/2015 16:44

Congratulations on a successful scan Treacle.

I don't have full on nausea as such anymore, but have a constant vile taste in my mouth that makes me feel sick. I think I'm almost as excited about getting rid of the vile taste as I am about meeting my baby. 30 + 4.

I'll do another stats date in a bit, so let me no if you'd like to be added or need anything changing.

Treaclepie19 · 11/05/2015 16:54

Thanks all :)
Gr33dy I don't think I'll ever relax :p

Happy my placenta is posterior so I think i have to accept what I've been feeling is movement and I've just been making myself worry over nothing (there's something new)

I can't wait to meet him :)

cavamonster · 11/05/2015 16:54

Ok ladies looking for your opinion...just arrived back from a week in Italy where it was around 28oC and I have a rash on my belly and on my thighs. I kept bump shaded but it could be a heat rash or I swapped from bio oil to cocoa butter for stretch marks so could be that but unsure whether to go to hospital . Reason I am extra worried is found out I was sat beside someone on a course two weeks ago who has now been diagnosed with shingles and whilst my rash doesn't look like the online pics of shingles and the midwife didn't seem concerned when I called when I found out it's obviously still playing on my mind plus as I have an anterior placenta I can't properly feel the baby kick so don't have that reassurance either although I have definite movement.

So what's your thoughts would you go to hospital to get the rash checked or wait a day or two?

thesmallbear · 11/05/2015 16:59

Actually, I'm 32 + 4. Baby brain!.

cava - I had a rash on my bump at one point and found that 'E45 anti-itch' cream helped.

Gr33dyeggs · 11/05/2015 18:02

If you're at all worried cava I'd try and see your mw or maybe a pharmacist in the meantime.

Oh thanks smallbear , I've just realised I don't have the awful taste atm! Long may it stay away (obviously sorry you have). I do have over sensitive nipples though Blush

thesmallbear · 11/05/2015 18:28

Did you find anything that successfully got rid of it Gr33dy? Nothing will shift it. Mints seem to make it worse Sad

Littlelady33 · 11/05/2015 18:30

Cava rashes of various kinds are very common but there's no harm asking your midwife to check it out?

pizzakat · 11/05/2015 18:42

Definitely think it's worth getting looked at even just to put your mind at ease cava x

Just got back from pre booking in great spirits to get a phone call saying I've lost my job. Haven't stopped crying since, we can't afford rent and bills on one income let alone a baby. Absolutely crushed

Oh no pizza that's awful! Is it a redundancy situation? Will you be getting some sort of payout? Sad

Treaclepie19 · 11/05/2015 19:02

Sorry to be a pain smallbear, next time you do the stats could you change me to the 19th September due date please? And I'll be 25 on the 19th of this month too.

Gosh pizza :( I hope you are able to get redundancy at least.

OP posts:
Amyyy27 · 11/05/2015 19:06

Oh pizza sorry about the job :(

Gr33dyeggs · 11/05/2015 19:07

Sorry no smallbear, I just realised it had gone when you mention it. I hadn't taken folic acid or vitd tablets for a couple of days and today I've started the pregnancy multivitamin a whole trimester too late

pizzakat · 11/05/2015 19:07

Only been there 5 months so no nothing unfortunately... My Mum also works there and has done for longer than me, she has a contract clause that states they can let her go at anytime with no notice of the business quietens down

thesmallbear · 11/05/2015 19:13

No problem Treacle. I'll leave it a couple of days and then do another update.

Would you like to be added gingerbreadmam?

Loads to catch up on for me too, as I've had visitors all weekend and didn't get a chance to read - I miss this thread when I can't access it!

Pizza I'm so sorry to hear about your job! What a shock for you. I wish I could add something helpful, but I really hope you find another job soon. Best of luck!

Welcome bythesea hope you have a boring stay here and huge scan congrats treacle the highlight of my pregnancy was getting through the anomaly scan.

cava if your midwife isn't worried then she's probably right, however if it is playing on your mind you should get it checked out for peace of mind.

Holy Heckers I can't believe I'm having my baby this week! section is booked for Friday. It still doesn't feel real at all, it feels like Friday will never come. Anxiety is beginning to rise though, mostly that she is/will be ok, and also the procedure itself.

Metalhead · 11/05/2015 21:20

So sorry to hear about your job pizza, that sucks. Do you think you'll be able to find something else soon?

Great news about your scan treacle! Hope you're feeling a bit reassured (for now).

Treaclepie19 · 11/05/2015 21:22
