Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Boozle80 · 16/05/2015 07:36

Morning everyone,
I can't stop inhaling bread with oil and balsamic vinegar... Doesn't matter what time of day it is! If that's not available, pretty much anything I can get my hands on!
Catinajar, the same thing happened to me when I got my bfp, get down to the doctors or epu as they maybe nice and give you some progesterone or something. I know what you mean about telling work but I just took the attitude of screw them, this is more important and I don't care what they say! Easier said than done though!
I was really lucky as Manchester gave me weekly scans in my first 12 weeks of this one so I didn't need to go private. They said there was some evidence reassurance scans helped, it did mean scananxiety kicking in on a weekly basis though!

Gr33dyeggs · 16/05/2015 08:03

Oh boozle I've decided to try St Marys this time. I should be under Pennine but with the stuff in the press and the fact I work at CMFT I thought I'd swap. We may unknowingly be at the same clinic!

Boozle80 · 16/05/2015 10:11

Where are you based GR33DY? I'm not under the epu at St Mary's anymore as I'm too far along - I can't sing their praises enough though. They were amazing and I honestly don't think I'd be where I am now without them.

cloudjumper · 16/05/2015 11:09

Welcome cat and congratulations on your BFP! I think the negative thoughts are completely normal - it is difficult to believe that it might all be OK, when you've had a miscarriage. I'm 7+5 and still nowhere near starting to relax. Hoping it'll come eventually, like others have said!

About work - you don't have to tell them anything yet, if you don't want to. It's none of their business, you need to put yourself first. See how you feel and go with that, but don't feel obliged to let them know.
My work have been very good with my mcs, but I am not planning to tell them about this one as long as possible. Plus, I don't get on very well with my direct line manager at the moment. Unless something goes wrong again, I'm hoping to leave it until I am at least 12 weeks, before I tell her, and at least 20 weeks before the rest of the company.

boozle Hmmm, oil & balsamic vinegar, yum! Now I want some Grin

I am shattered. In spite of having about 8 hours of sleep, I feel as if I've just done a 10k-run! Wondering if I could have a sneaky snooze this afternoon... I need to do some work, but it's hard to focus when my brain is all fuzzy.

mrsdiddlydoo · 16/05/2015 12:49

Having a zero symptom day. Hope it's temporary. T r y i n g n o t t o f r e a k o u t ...

broodylicious · 16/05/2015 12:56

cat, is there any reason why you have to tell work? I waited until 12 weeks with my dd and still haven't told my clients yet (I'm nearly 31 weeks).

Phryn · 16/05/2015 15:39

Thinking of you Mrsdiddlydoo - how many weeks are you? I had a huge decrease in symptoms at 11 weeks which freaked me out a bit but they would return sparodically. I think that's when the placenta took over - and reading threads on here on the dissapearing symptoms thing it seems quite common even in pregnancies that go safely to term. Hope you can distract yourself today!

Gr33dyeggs · 16/05/2015 16:37

boozle I work in St Marys, and although scans and birth will be there all my few midwife appointments are back in local care.

pizzakat · 16/05/2015 16:53

Taking back what I said about scans being reassuring. Going to visit OH's dad on 30th may, was hoping to have had our dating scan by then and be able to share our news but doubt it will happen since I'm not booking in until Monday...

Looking at private scans found one quite cheap (£40) but when I started to book it in I felt sick to my stomach and stopped. Don't know how I'd feel getting bad news at a private scan then still having to travel down for his engagement party and put a brave face on... This staying positive business is tough...

gingerbreadmam · 16/05/2015 17:27

im another one who got pregnant soon after erpc (6wks) and altho mmc was discovered at 9wks i didnt have erpc until 14wks pregnant so feels like ive been pregnant forevvverrr now and im only 17wks lol!

you do get to stages where the worry eases up a bit. i had a scare this pregnancy a bleed very similar to what led to me discovering mmc at 9 wks so i was convinced it had all happened again. got there and there was baby hb flashing away. had about 3 more wks to wait for dating scan and i was dreading that one incase somehing had gone wrong.

after dating scan i relaxed but now at 17wks anxietys rising and starting to dread next scan. its up and down. all be worth it in the end tho.

mrsdiddlydoo · 16/05/2015 18:55

phryn 9 weeks today going on a trillion weeks the way time has slowed down have had a couple of... is the nausea back moments, but overall felt more human than for days. Dh has distracted me clearing out some junk and managed to paint one side of a door.

Hope ladies have had good Saturdays? Sun's been shining here which helps

Mslad · 17/05/2015 04:20

Hi all, I'm so pleased to report the safe arrival of babylad (name still undecided) yesterday at 12.30. She is amazing, 7 pounds 2 ounces, healthy, & gorgeous.... we are both so much in love. 2 smitten kittens with her. I can't say I enjoyed the c-section, but I'm a bit of a wuss about hospitals, & objectively speaking it went swimmingly. I'd also do it again in a heartbeat so it can't have been that bad. I'm still in hospital, might get out Sunday or Monday. I wouldn't mind staying in until Monday as I'm still finding walking very difficult & while baby has been brilliant latching on & trying to drink milk, it hasn't really come through yet so that's a bit of a challenge, but the nurses have been amazing. I'll post a photo soon (we took most of them in a proper cameras, rather than a smart phone- which means they're not as easy to send).

Welcome to all newbies & huge best of luck to everyone on the thread. I'll be following you all. I'm looking at my lo right now & still CANNOT believe she's here and she's mine. Pregnancy after miscarriage feels so long and often lonely as many others just don't get it, so everyone on here has meant so much to me. At times, waiting for the 12 week scan, waiting for the harmony results etc just felt endless, I never thought yesterday would come, so thank you to you all for helping me through, for being so kind & understanding. Your special day will come (even though I never believed that for myself).

cavamonster · 17/05/2015 05:53

cloudjumper · 17/05/2015 07:04

Congratulations Mslad! That is so lovely! Take it easy, a c-section is not to be trifled with. Hope you're enjoying the newborn cuddles x

Scanxiety ramping up here. It's at 9am, and my insides are already found somersaults Confused
