kep1979 · 08/05/2015 13:38

keys thanks - I think I'm just extra paranoid this time, poas does help even though dh thinks I'm a loon

barbie good luck for your scan

Amyyy27 · 08/05/2015 13:39

Good luck Barbie for tomorrow!

Went for a bra fitting as my boobs have changed already!(although not sore at all?) and ive begrudgingly gone up a lot in the back size and mahoosive cups! Only to get bigger! The only ones they had in that fit were nursing bras so trying to find a good 2 pack online.. any suggestions?

keys27 · 08/05/2015 14:21

Yokyil Sorry hun I take the multi pregnacare as well with the fish oil tablets my gp never prescribe me folic acid so I decided to go all out and get the mega expensive ones. Can make you feel very sicky though can completely agree with that statement from the others.

keys27 · 08/05/2015 14:23

sorry barbie Missed your post. Goodluck for tomorrow hun. What time is it? Will be thinking of you. Is this the big one where if al ok you will be tellin family and friends?

keys27 · 08/05/2015 14:25

amyyyy when I had my DD's I got mine from simplybe. They were expensive but so comfortable.

Amyyy27 · 08/05/2015 14:50

oh never thought of there thanks keys!

chasingtherainbow · 08/05/2015 14:52

I went from an 28E to a 36H with dd! I was buying new bras every 6 weeks. Touch wood I'm fine so far but so sore I will go and invest in some comfort!

Barbiedoll79 · 08/05/2015 15:34

Thanks all :-)
No not my 12 week got that wednesday now (should be 13+1 then)- just a word of warning I chased my 12 weeks scan today only to be told as epau haven't "signed me off" they can't book my scan (even though I explained needed it before week14 for tests) and it's only coz I have kicked off (for use of a better word) to epau that they managed to get it sorted so it's def worth chasing if you are under epau.

Keys- cos of my job unfortunately even then j won't get To tell people :-( (I'm self employed you see so could lose all my business) and its at 1030 so fingers crossed :-) x

Barbiedoll79 · 08/05/2015 15:36

Goodness chasing that was a huge change lol! With dd I went up from 34c to 36dd that was is and so far this time j have only gone up from 36dd (for larger after dd so never changed again) to 38dd and that's it lol! X

keys27 · 08/05/2015 15:56

Chasing wow that a massive change hun. How are you feeling today. Yours is next Wednesday isn't it?

barbie Oh no thats so bad from the EPU. I had to get sharp with the midwives yesterday as well its awful we are having to push for things that should already be in place. I just hope it dont get worst now conservatives are back in charge the NHS is already a mess :(.
Oh I see hun. That must be really hard being self employed because you have to work to get the income and no holiday pay. I dont think I am cut out to be a boss.

LostMySocks · 08/05/2015 16:20

Fab news Genni. I'm afraid I dripped tears all over the poor sonographer when she confirmed baby and heart beat all good. She was a total star and pointed out loads for us including a nice narrow NF, heart, brain and full bladder (working kidneys). I'm due 19th November. Hope it's not late as my birthday is 22nd.
Boobs wise this pregnancy is really different to DS. That time I went from 30E to 28H by time milk came in. Currently no change despite mainlining carbs. Strange. One of the first signs that I was pregnant when it went wrong was really sore boobs. I was still BF DS and it was agony.

Does anyone else have all over itching? It's driving me mad. I'm giving myself bruises from scratching
Amy have you tried bravissimo? Not the cheapest but great fit. I intend to stay with my wires until the last possible minute. Nursing bras give pretty pants support and a rubbish shape. Maybe I'm just vain.

Barbiedoll79 · 08/05/2015 16:55

Lost I completely agree with you! The maternity/ nursing bras are not my usual style and I'm struggling with them rising too high eg past the top of my tops! As for itching OMG yes never had that with dd but this time since 7 weeks!

Off topic but really need to rant- been feeling mega down these last few days I don't know why or if it's cos the scan is coming up tomorrow and next week (for 12 week one) but I thought I was meant to be less hormonal now! I'm crying at nothing and feeling really emotional, struggling with dd who for some reason has gone from being the perfect child to ripping her dolls house and drawing in the walls etc, I am waking every night for 2 hours for no reason and oh is driving me insane, I feel exhausted and if I try and talk to h about how j feel he just says you're mean to dd and you're so lazy now etc which is getting me more down! Last time he was so supportive and would make me a bed etx when I was in from work etx now j have more to do and working loner hours (52 hour weeks plus paperwork in my "spare" time) I get nothing. I just don't know why I'm so down about it all when I should be over the moon to have a dd and this baby- the thing is the baby I don't get down about just everything else!

Sorry for essay needed to vent x

LostMySocks · 08/05/2015 17:07

Barbie. When you've had a MC before I think it is natural to be really all over the place coming up to scan time. I was the same. I managed to hold it together at work but home was a different story. Post scan I feel rather calm and zen like.

Barbiedoll79 · 08/05/2015 17:17

Thanks lost :-) there is hope then lol! I actually find it easier talking to you guys about things than my friends (had dd at 22 and now 25 but even now none of them have children yet) x

gennibugs · 08/05/2015 17:21

Oh god yes to itching!! It's so bad I had to go to the GP last week as it is driving me insane.

lost so glad everything is looking ok. Grin

barbie look after yourself. Scan time is a nervy time and we've got all these hormones rushing around. Coupled with tiredness and nausea and other aches and pains, it's a fraught time x

keys27 · 08/05/2015 18:48

Barbie DD prob seems like that hun because you so tired and have such a hefty work load. I am snapping loads at the eldest I dont mean to im just tired and worn out. Im fine first thing but come 4 its awful. Plus as others said with scan round the corner your going to feel nervous. We all know in the group pregnancy can be joyful or devastating your bound to be on edge. You know LO is ok you see bubba thriving im sure after wednesday your find you will settle down. You should share with OH hun just sohe can help with the little things even if its just to run you a bath to chill out he will understand.

Big hugs xxx

Barbiedoll79 · 08/05/2015 18:54

Thanks keys and genni
I tried talking to him but think he gets frustrated cos I can't stop crying when I'm talking to him and he just thinks I'm lazy and horrible to dd- will try again I think esp if like this after we'd but like you all said hopefully it's just the scan wait. Thanks again knew you ladies would understand :-D x

keys27 · 08/05/2015 19:08

Your welcome hun and your not lazy or horrible your pregnant hormones all over the place and wow them hours are so long. Its hard still in early pregnancy battling the sleep. Men find it hard to understand sometimes.

Tootle10 · 08/05/2015 19:27

So pleased everything is ok for you lost and genni. And welcome kep!

Sorry to hear you're having a tough time barbie - it's not surprising you feel low with so much work and pressure, especially if you're feeling unsupported. Try and take some time out for you and hopefully things will ease once you've had your scan and are out of those first 12 weeks Flowers

I came home to a letter with an appointment at the hospital on 28 May. It's at the women's care centre, which I can only presume means the EPU, and I will be 8 weeks exactly then - really surprised I've been referred after one mc. I'll be on holiday then so won't be able to go but will try and get it moved to the following week. Such a relief that I seem to be down for an early scan Smile

Barbiedoll79 · 08/05/2015 20:02

Fantastic news toot it's nice to see an epau considering peoples emotional needs following a mc

Bristolian1 · 09/05/2015 07:25

Good luck today Barbie

Tootle10 · 09/05/2015 08:18

Good luck barbie - thinking of you.

gennibugs · 09/05/2015 08:45

Amyyy27 · 09/05/2015 09:04
