Pizzakat I hope everything has eased. If it gets worse or stays the same or you have a fever, get back to A&E ASAP, at the end of the day appendicitis (although easily treated) is not to be underestimated. A lady on my August thread sat next to a girl at her GTT who had an appendectomy and her baby is fine.

Did they do bloods? I would have expected they would have at least done bloods to see whether you had an infection. My boyfriend had appendicitis in January so I know the drill. And he went from GPs surgery to operating table within 6 hours.

Anyway I hope you are ok. Thinking of you Flowers

Hi Jo

Been dosed up on codeine since and haven't felt a thing but it's starting to wear off now and I'm getting a little niggling pain again... Scan is in a couple of hours but honestly I just want to know my baby is ok :(

They did blood tests and urine tests all of which came back fine and HCG levels are normal but I can't help but think I'm on my way to getting that same awful news as last time.... Sorry I haven't been very posifrickintive since I joined, hopefully I'm worrying for nothing and will have some happy news by lunch time

Andifyoudontfirstsucceed · 01/05/2015 09:41

Hi all, have been rather quite- just had my reassurance scan(2 previous mcs no babies) and healthy little bean was there... Feeling very relieved as have never made it this far before! Fingers crossed for all of you going through a difficult time xx

Mslad · 01/05/2015 10:14

Fab news andif that's a great sign. How far along are you?

Thinking of you pizza what time is your scan at? A lot of us had 'one of those things' problems in the first trimester, hopefully your pains are nothing to worry about.

Metalhead · 01/05/2015 10:39

Sorry to hear about your trip to A&E pizza, I hope you get to the bottom of the pain soon and bean is ok.

My face hurts because my sinuses are all blocked up this morning. Another day on the sofa for me.

Littlelady33 · 01/05/2015 10:44

Pizza hope you get some answers soon. Andif great news about the scan it's such an important milestone when you get that far isn't it?

northdownmummy · 01/05/2015 11:35

Another milestone day for me, just told my team at work. I manage about 18 people so needed to explain my time out.
Not that I could have kept quiet much longer, getting a bit of a belly already

Feels even more real now.

Gr33dyeggs · 01/05/2015 12:23

I told one of my managers today too northdown. We told our 6 year old last night and after initially feeling puzzled (his words) he has been really excited and looking after me! OH seems happier now too.

Treaclepie19 · 01/05/2015 12:56

Gosh pizza, I hope all is ok.
I had my appendix out when I was 13, nothing stopped the pain. Hopefully it's just to do with stretching and growing.

Metal ive suffered with my sinuses this pregnancy, hope it eases for you :( It's awful isn't it?

I'll be 20 weeks tomorrow (yay!) and my appetite is finally back (still can't eat curry though) which means I am now eating everything in sight Blush

Treacle I get massively hungry days now, some normal days. Some days I feel like my stomach is clenching in hunger despite having eaten enough to feed a small army. Other days I am fine though. I figure it is when bubs is having a growth spurt so I just go with it.

Congrats on reaching half way! when is your scan?

Treaclepie19 · 01/05/2015 14:55

That's how I feel happy!
I figure I'm approaching a big growth spurt so the hunger is only natural :p

Thank you :) My scan isn't until 11th May. Seems ages away still!

Hope you're ok, Pizza. ToriB, you're not mad. I get it. I know some people are against dopplers, but would it help if you got one?

pizzakat · 01/05/2015 16:53

Finally got in for my ultrasound an hour late, the sonographer didn't even know I was pregnant then proceeded to tell me my womb was empty, no evidence of a sack or anything... I went absolutely ballistic as don't understand how a baby can disappear?!

After an hour and a half of being convinced I'd miscarried again a wonderful consultant examined me and within minutes said my pain was due to constipation! And got me down to Gynae where the wonderful midwife found my baby straight away, allowed us to listen to the heartbeat and printed off some pics.

Such a roller coaster over the last few days but I am elated everything is fine, 9+1 today and feeling so much more positive even if I am literally full off shit ??

PHEW.

broodylicious · 01/05/2015 17:08

Omfg pizza!!! AngryAngryAngryAngry At shit sonographer!!! Thank goodness someone more knowledgeable and professional saved the day. What a terrible ordeal to go through, you poor thing. Furious for you. Delighted all is super duper too, of course Smile

cavamonster · 01/05/2015 17:17

Heavens pizza that is awful treatment, you must be delighted everything is now ok but exhausted from that worry - how terrible for you.

At least it's the weekend and you can rest up now and know the baby is doing well

Rebeccaelizabethxo · 01/05/2015 17:22

Glad everything is ok pizza but how on earth could the sonographer think your womb was empty ?! Silly woman ! Bet it was nice to see bubs, I've actually been able to relax a bit since seeing a baby shaped bean on Wednesday !

Has any one else had bad sugar cravings ? I cannot stop eating sweets Blush

Littlelady33 · 01/05/2015 17:47

Pizza I'm utterly appalled but glad you got there in the end! I also saw a useless sonographer when I had my mmc, but she was just lacking a medical background and kind of inventing reasons for my mc, your treatment is off the scale terrible!! Saw GP today re backache and got a private referral (BUPA will probably not cough up as its pregnancy triggered though). Also had a listen to baby's hb and watched him give the Doppler a good kick!

Andifyoudontfirstsucceed · 01/05/2015 17:52

Scan showed me at 8 weeks 2 - I though 8 weeks 4 but am irregular - feeling so relieved keep staring at the pic!!

thesmallbear · 01/05/2015 18:02

Just popping by to say hello. Haven't posted for ages as problems with laptop & thought it would be too fiddly to post on phone. Just wrote a massive post and bloody lost it all, so guess I was right!

Anyway, I'm still here. Just mostly reading until my laptop works!

thesmallbear · 01/05/2015 18:04

I wrote a massive message, but to summarise- thinking of you Tori.

pizza I think you should make a complaint.

Hugs tori

Metalhead · 01/05/2015 19:04

WTF pizza?! I'm glad everything worked out well in the end, but what the hell was that sonographer looking at? I agree you should complain, if you can find the energy to do it.

Glad your scan went well too andif.
