Everything is fine Grin very wiggly little baby in there ! Measuring perfectly and a nice strong heartbeat ! Couldn't believe how much it was moving ! So relieved ( for the next couple of days anyway !!)

happygojo · 29/04/2015 11:53

Treacle seriously don't worry about movement yet, you could have an anterior placenta, even if you don't it is still early. For a while I wasn't sure I was feeling anything or whether it was just wind or general digestion. Hopefully your scan will put your mind at rest a bit. I found myself dismissing possible movements because i didn't really believe it still.... now there are no mistaking that I have something very wriggly inside of me!

Glad you got some reassurance Rebecca

I am feeling better today, me and my OH had a little cry about our baby that wasn't and then we put our big girl/boy pants on and put up a dado rail in the hallway. He said my step-sis having the baby had made him think about the MC too.

A guy a works wife is due tomorrow, and I am strangely excited for him. Everytime I hear his name on the tannoy 'Phone call for XX on XXXX' I think 'Is this is???' so maybe I am healing.

Bubs is moving hell of a lot which helps

Treaclepie19 · 29/04/2015 12:33

I am going a bit loopy :p Thanks all.

Glad all was ok Rebecca :)

I'm currently waiting to pick my mom up and wondering why on earth I gave maternity jeans another chance. Sitting down is so uncomfortable!!!

I agree sunbathing, I can't cope with under the bump anything. Over the bump jeans from new look, however, are like pyjamas. For me anywaySmile I also bought a pair of palazzo pants from an eBay shop the other week - just normal ones, not maternity, but in the size bigger than I'd usually go for - and they're fab. Elasticated waist makes me feel like I'm 70 but they're so comfy.

Metalhead · 29/04/2015 14:05

Glad everything's ok Rebecca and treacle!

bitbybitbybit · 29/04/2015 14:26

Just read this and didn't wanna run. What a brilliant fricking post! I'm sending you all ladies plenty of baby dust Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks
I had a m/c at the end of 2012...a bit traumatic n tough to get over but I knew time would do what it does best and I moved on eventually. We conceived again 3 months later and I now have the happiest healthiest 18months. I had a baby boy!!!
It took a lot to get over the fear of losing again and frankly it stayed with me but regressed as the pregnancy flourished. You'll get to have and to hold your fabulous babies...I'm baking number 2 now and I could not be more excited.

It's coming your way ladies Xxx

Treaclepie19 · 29/04/2015 15:26

I've got both types, new look over and under.
I really can't get on with either. They always find a way to dig in. It's like they can't fit under my bump and the over bump ones, the Jean bit digs in.
I'm back in my leggings.

Hi everyone,

I've been lurking your thread for the past few weeks but haven't felt brave enough to join in until now.

Had a MMC December last year, found out at the beginning of this month I'm pregnant again which actually massively freaked me out even though it was exactly what I had wanted to happen... the reality of possibly exposing myself to all that hurt and pain again was terrifying.

Hysterically rang the EPU who were amazing and got me in for a scan the next day, (I nearly died on the spot when I realised it was all the exact same staff who had last time told me I'd lost my baby) which showed me to be measuring 6+2 although I asked not to be able to see as I didnt want to form that attachment so early on... I'm now 8+1 and about to head to the Drs to register with the midwife so thought now was as good a time as ever to ask to join the gang.

It has been such a comfort reading about all of your journeys so far x

Gr33dyeggs · 29/04/2015 16:42

Glad you had a good scan rebecca and that you got some reassurance treacle.

Welcome pizza & nice to hear your story bitbybit. Congrats on the pregnancies!

Metalhead · 29/04/2015 16:45

Welcome pizza, I'm only a few days behind you (7+5 today) and also had a mmc last year, although it took us a year to conceive again after that.

pizzakat · 30/04/2015 05:25

Thank you Gr33dy & Metal....

I fear I may have got a bit carried away with myself as I've been lying awake for the last hour with a horrible pain all down the left side of my stomach which seems to be spreading round to my side/ lower back.... Made it to 10+2 last time and didnt have anything like this :(

Woke my partner up and all he had to say was you need to stop worrying and dont be googling (which I know are both true) but i''m no wimp and this really hurts!

cavamonster · 30/04/2015 05:53

Unfortunately pizza a lot of the pains you associate with mc are also the same types as stretching and growing pains in successful pregnancies. It's so very worrying and very difficult to not google everything but rarely does it make you feel any better.

Wishing you an uneventful pregnancy.

Metalhead · 30/04/2015 08:02

Hope your pain has subsided pizza.

I've woken up with a snotty nose and sore throat, bleurgh. Not sure how I'm going to cope with a cold on top of all-day nausea... straight back to bed after the school run I think!

Mslad · 30/04/2015 08:28

Welcome pizza how are you feeling this morning? Hopefully it's just stretching pains and have eased up? First trimester after mc is such a terrifying time, also I always felt as soon as I told anyone, or even 'came out' on mn that I would feel a drop in symptoms, or extra pains....weird!

Yay for great scans stick and rebecca I'm thrilled for you. Hope you get some peace of mind, at least for a while.

Well my lo is still very breech, so I have a c-section scheduled for May 15! eeeeeek! that feels really close and I'm beginning to get very nervous about the procedure. But it's also exciting too. I'm excited one minute and terrified the next.......

Gr33dyeggs · 30/04/2015 08:33

tori how did yesterday go with the midwife?

StickChildNumberTwo · 30/04/2015 09:17

Ooooh, Mslad, that's very exciting to have an actual date. I have no experience of c-sections but most people I know who've had them electively have had a good experience. One piece of advice that stuck with me from our antenatal classes was don't look at the big shiny lights in theatre - they reflect stuff you might not want to see.... (I remembered this while exhausted from 3 nights of no sleep, in theatre while they did fun things like give me a spinal so it must've been important!)

Glad all is well Rebecca, pizza I hope the pains have gone. Everyone's right that such things are entirely normal, but that doesn't stop them being worrying.

Mslad · 30/04/2015 09:38

Thanks stick I'm happy to hear all advice possible. I'm quite a squeamish person so want to avoid seeing as much as I can. The date is 15.05.15 which I think is quite a lovely birth-date!

Tori how did you get on? Has Tori-junior turned?

Tori I shall cross my fingers that he really has turned, but definitely get a scan to check if there's any uncertainty!

SomeSortOfDeliciousBiscuit · 30/04/2015 13:58

I'm driving myself a bit mad. I'm 14+5 and I have a bump at the bottom part of my stomach when I lie down and have a full bladder (it must be pushing everything up). Please tell me it's NORMAL for the bump to come and go at this stage, until it pops out properly?!

I'm heavier than I was with my DS so I think that's making a difference too and I definitely don't remember having a magic disappearing bump with him!

happygojo · 30/04/2015 15:17

Somesort My bump changes now at 25 weeks. I wouldn't worry Smile

See, I knew that, but it's reassuring to hear others agree! Oh, the things we worry about!

I have a slightly-less-than-24-hours ECG tracker thingy on. They stuck the pads down with the type of tape that irritates my skin, but I can never tell the difference between the tapes because they all look the same!

I have to note down any symptoms, the time, and what I was doing. It looks like this:

Palpitation, sitting down, 15:27
Palpitation, sitting down, 15:29
Palpitation, sitting down, 15:30

I didn't realise how many I was getting until I paid attention. Sad

pizzakat · 30/04/2015 17:17

Thanks everyone for your kind messages, unfortunately pain didn't ease at all got worse if anything, ended up in A&E with very unsympathetic staff who think it may be appendicitis and point blank refused to send me for a scan.

Been sent home with codeine and instructed to go back tomorrow for ultrasound RE appendix but guess they will also tell me baby is ok then too?

So tired, so stressed. Hoping for some reassurance tomorrow xx
