Another thread for the lovely ladies who are pregnant after miscarriage :)

Rebecca it is REALLY hard to not worry and constantly analyse how good or bad you feel when you've had a MC. People don't understand unless they've been in the situation unfortunately.

Thanks to all of the ladies who reassured me yesterday. Just had my second MW appointment and baby has a nice strong heartbeat and all our test results are fine. 1:340,000 risk of downs which is fab.

I have found out I'm rhesus negative which was a surprise but I'm reassured is nothing to be concerned about.

SomeSortOfDeliciousBiscuit · 28/04/2015 12:00

I'm rhesus negative too, and DH is rhesus positive. It really is nothing to worry about these days, because we have the brilliant anti-d injections that stop us from making antibodies.

Tip: It's a bit of a stingy injection and stings much less if you can get the midwife to be nice and take it out of the fridge for a bit before having it.

Treaclepie19 · 28/04/2015 16:29

Gah :( Been having sharp pains in the middle of my stomach all day today. Trying to tell myself it's just ligament pain but the worrying is starting again.

Treacle I think if they are sharp pains (i am no doctor though) then they are probably ligaments or stretching. Am I right in thinking you are about 18 weeks now? (I can never keep up) anyway.... you have a bell pepper in a bag of water in your uterus which has probably now reached your belly button. It is pushing things out of the way and making room, even if you can't feel them kicking yet, they will be. It may also be your muscles trying to make room. Its probably growing pains which are good right!? baby is growing.

Try not to worry, but if you are then call your MW obviously.

Treaclepie19 · 28/04/2015 16:41

Yeah I think you're right. I had pains (that I think were like this) early on and was all ligaments and things growing.
I'm just such a worrier.
19+3 today :) 2 weeks til my anomaly scan.

My midwife was very unhelpful at my booking in app. Ended up ringing epu in floods of tears and they are going to scan me tomorrow morning. I'm so nervous it's unreal.

treacle hope the pains soon subside, at least we are in the worry boat together Flowers xx

Littlelady33 · 28/04/2015 18:09

Treacle sounds like ligament pain to me but hope it subsides. Rebecca sending hugs for tomorrow, hope scan will put your mind at rest

Thanks all. This ligament pain worries me silly!
Glad to hear it's the same as what you've all had.

Glad they're going to scan you Rebecca xxx

I'm going to the doctor tomorrow sunbathing so I'll mention it then.
It's not so painful I can't do anything just sharp twinges.
I definitely had it worse than this last time but it wasn't so localised.

Just made dh Google, he said possibly ligament pain and stretching due to being nearly 20 weeks and baby moving up?

treacle like you I had quite a bit of stretching pain at 19 weeks, then started to pop out quite a bit. I have also read baby can now pull on the cord which I think has been happening quite a bit - think this little is definitely a bit of an acrobat.

That's exciting tori getting close!

Gr33dyeggs · 29/04/2015 06:49

Hopefully you can get some reassurance treacle.

Do you think baby has moved tori?

A couple more days until 'the week in which you receive high risk results' is over. If theres no contact by tomorrow evening, we will be announcing.

I've got some maternity trousers out of the loft and they are sooooo comfy.

My bubs pulls on the cord a fair bit. S/he has also had a few episodes of hiccups too. It's such a funny feeling!

Rebeccaelizabethxo · 29/04/2015 08:55

Thank you everyone, I'm hoping for the best but expecting the worst Sad just hoping I'm wrong about my gut feeling xx

StickChildNumberTwo · 29/04/2015 09:07

Hope all is well Rebecca.

My 12 week scan was yesterday and much to my surprise all is fine. Baby is measuring bigger than expected but I'm not going to worry about that (at least not until I go overdue and need to fight not to be induced). I still don't quite believe that it might all work out OK though.

We'll go public next week, which I'm not looking forward to although I am looking forward to telling the small one. If we could just tell her and not the rest of the world for another month then I would, but I'm expecting her to tell the world!

I really wasn't impressed to go to a meeting after the scan only to be accosted by a colleague from another team with 'so are you going to have any more?' questions. I refrained from being rude, but I hate how people who barely know you think they have a right to ask those questions.

Now it's back to be exhausted and nauseous, just without the scanxiety to contend with. Do you reckon anyone would notice if I went to sleep for a week?

Congratulations on making it past 12 weeks Stickchild!

Good luck for your scan today Rebecca, hope all is well.

I'm 7+5 today, and have been feeling so sick since the weekend. Not actually being sick though, which I suppose is a small mercy. I'm mildly reassured by the nausea as I never felt this bad with the last pregnancy I lost, but will still be booking another private scan for when I'm 10 weeks.

Treaclepie19 · 29/04/2015 10:19

The doctor wasn't concerned. She said it sounds normal and as there's no bleeding no need to worry.
She did ask if I was feeling anything though. I hate that question :(

broodylicious · 29/04/2015 10:31
