So heres a thread. Hope you all find it!

Congrats we've made it this far Wine

My worry at 5 weeks is I just feel apathetic and numb. Not excited, not looking forward. Not even fear. Just.... nothing. Constant knicker watch.

Plus wondering whether to push for an early scan and if so when? Losses were 9 and 11 weeks.

Thanks for the reassurance ladies. Been to super drug and got their own brand (people seem to think they're the best) and this is the result from about 15 minutes ago so obviously not fmu. What do you think?

You've got a line so I'd say your preggers Smile

I have complete loss of symptoms so am in panic mode. Just trying to keep busy until Tuesday.

Deffo pregnant :) congrats! I would forget all about digis they just cause unnecessary worry!

Barbiedoll79 · 03/04/2015 11:22

Congrats epskie that's a definite line!

The lady at epau told us they tell everyone not to use the digital ones as they cause too much stress! And they hate the ones which estimate how far along you are.

Greedy I had the same thing for past 3 days no symptoms at all then last night sick feeling and this am breast tenderness again (only slight for both) but hopefully yours will return to reassure you too :-) (it's helped half reassure me whilst I wait another week for my scan)

Amyyy is your scan today or next Friday? If today good luck
X

Amyyy27 · 03/04/2015 11:30

Thanks barbie but not until tomorrow afternoon. Dreading it so bad :(

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 03/04/2015 11:59

epskie you is well and truly upduffed!
gr33dy how many weeks are you now love? I know you've had a successful pregnancy but just because you had longer sickness with that one doesn't mean you will with this one. About 9 weeks, the placenta takes over and hcg levels begin dropping quite quickly. With dd, my symptoms started improving around 8 weeks and then were completely gone by 10 weeks.

Gr33dyeggs · 03/04/2015 12:34

I'm 10+2 so that would fit, fx! Thanks ladies.
chasing sorry the sickness has kicked in, especially on your hols.

You're pregnant epskie! congratulations!

gennibugs · 03/04/2015 14:05

Oh yes re the digis - my epu said they really dislike the ones that say how far along you are too - apparently these cause people a lot of unnecessary stress and worry x

fromwesttoeast · 03/04/2015 16:54

Congratulations to Epskie, and to Barbie on your twin pg (must have totally missed where you mentioned that before)!

fromwesttoeast · 03/04/2015 17:00

Just wondering if anyone is daring to think far enough ahead to the hayfever season and how you are going to manage without the usual medications?
Any alternatives to recommend? I heard that local honey can help, if you start eating it a couple of months ahead, so I've been having some local honey everyday.

Barbiedoll79 · 03/04/2015 19:25

Thanks fromwest :-)
Very excited but got another week to check everything's still ok (sooo dragging!!!)

No recommendations but I was thinking this today lol as my eyes started playing up I tried the honey thing last time but didn't find it particularly helped but gonna do it again just incase (gotta be worth a shot right?!?)

epskie · 03/04/2015 19:39

Thanks everybody. Feel much more at ease now :-)

Where do you all stand on hot baths? I love baths and usually have them rather hot but I've read that you can't have them during pregnancy, any thoughts?

Amyyy27 · 03/04/2015 19:54

We were talking about this before epskie i think so long as you don't have to lower yourself in slowly because of the heat or so you aren't sweating you should be ok. Saying that... im a worry freak and have been suffering short lukewarm baths! Lol just until we get some reassurance. I hate showers they just don't relax me so looking forward to a nice warm bath!

Well i am having a moment of not feeling too sick so have came to get a chinese! Hoping i am still hungry by the time i get home!

onefootinthebed · 03/04/2015 23:06

Omg my boobs are so sore they are gonna fall off.......

Happy Easter everyone??

Gr33dyeggs · 04/04/2015 07:04

Mine were like that in the night onefoot!

Nausea has returned this morning. It is definitely associated with a night of poor sleep. I'll be expecting it tomorrow too then - I sleep awfully on weekends I work.

I hope the weather is as good as promised and you all feel well enough to enjoy it.

OP posts:
GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 04/04/2015 07:27

My nausea is worse when I'm tired too. DD decided to get up for the day at 4.30am this morning. Just going to get DH up now so I can go back to bed.
If we're tag team parenting now, how on earth are we going to cope when twins come along as well? I'm terrified.

chasingtherainbow · 04/04/2015 08:09

Aww guy. I've worked with many twins and although it'll be crazy to begin with, you'll settle into a rhythm of life soon and you won't imagine it any other way. X

Amyyy27 · 04/04/2015 09:04

Ok i am having major scanxiety. I do not feel the least bit positive about the scan today. I have also got it in my head that when i lie down and rub my hand over my tummy i cant feel a single sign of pregnancy.... is that normal for 8 weeks? Damn it i have totally lost the plot :( i also have to visit our friends' new baby this morning how the hell am i going to cope!!

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 04/04/2015 09:13

Amyy I can't feel anything in my tummy and I've got 2 in there.
I know it's scary but everything points to everything being fine. What time is your scan?

Barbiedoll79 · 04/04/2015 09:14

Amyyy try not to worry (I know it's hard) I had this- I went on to have my lg, second pregnancy I thought was all fine felt fine etc-mc and after that I think it's completely natural to almost subconsciously convince ourselves that we can't feel things as a way of protecting ourselves (or at least I think I am)

Best of luck for the scan will be thinking of you x

Amyyy27 · 04/04/2015 09:18

Oh guy thats very reassuring thank you! Its at 3.15 so quite some time to wait!

Amyyy27 · 04/04/2015 09:20

Aww thanks barbie im hoping it is just a defence mechanism but will just have to wait and see. It will be a big shock if all is ok as in my mind i cant see it panning out any other way than bad news! And the scan is in the middle of mothercare of all bloody places!

gennibugs · 04/04/2015 10:23

Just popped on to say good luck amyy. If it helps I don't feel in the slightest bit pregnant today - even my nausea seems to have settled and don't feel like I have anything in me either. I think it's still so early as yet for us all so I know it's easy to say but try not to worry. Let us know how you get on x

MsJupiter · 04/04/2015 12:05

Good luck Amyy - thinking of you and hoping for celebrations later Smile
