BFP after IVF / ICSI - Chat/ support?

Hi, I've just got my BFP following an ICSI cycle and was (still am) on some threads over on infertility. I'm feeling a bit lost for support and chat as I read someone write that it is depressing to see those with BFP chatting and I don't want to put other people off using the threads if you know what I mean! Whilst it's still early days for me so don't want to count my chickens by being on the 'pregnancy' threads, but I found the others invaluable for support!

Anyone else been through IVF /ICSI and in the early ish stages of pregnancy want to come on the journey with me! Anyone who got their BFP and was chatting on the other threads? It's my first pregnancy so no idea if I would be this scared if I hadn't had to endure all this, but I feel going through IVF has made me much more paranoid and scared than I ever thought I would be! Not to mention the thought that if I lose this baby, that might be our last chance as no idea how we would afford another cycle! Are these fears rational!?

I'm coming up for 5 weeks pregnant as first test was last Friday (13th!) and have the next test to do this Friday for the clinic to confirm its still positive, then I guess onto the scan.

Hi Verkey! I'm good, I had a bit of nausea last week and was sick on Thursday and Saturday, but really apart from that I dont feel any different! I think I ate too much Saturday (greedy) and dairy sometimes makes me feel blurgh too anyway! In fact I wish there was something I could hang my hat on so to speak! However yesterday and today I've had a really odd fluttering feeling just where tummy meets pubic area (above the hair line). Now its too early for movement but I wonder if they're settling in somehow?!?! You know when you're tired and your eye twitches.... Its just like that but down there!

I think I'm going mad its prolly wind! Next scan Friday. I just want to make sure they're okay. I'm really scared one won't make it!

I ordered what to expect when you're expecting and a dad's survival guide AND a Doppler today! Must have had a rush of blood to the head!

How're you? Have you had a scan yet? Are you sicky at all? Grin

Verkey81 · 25/03/2015 13:33

Awww sorry you're feeling sickly. I've been nauseous but not actually sick luckily! You poor thing Sad

The fluttering sounds interesting, they say you can't feel actual movement yet as so tiny but you're probably right with the settling in Grin they're just making themselves comfortable! You'll have to let us know how your scan goes Friday, how many weeks are you now? I'm just waiting for my 12 week scan date to come through, have seen the midwife and got another appt with her next week. Can't believe we're 10 weeks tomorrow! Every week that goes by feels like a Milestone Smile

Yes it does Verkey and it has been lovely to announce it to everyone.

Still worry though (does it ever end!) I think whenever I get this nuchal scan and see the baby again it will put my mind at rest.

You haven't got long to go!

Verkey81 · 27/03/2015 18:11

Is the nuchal the 12 week scan? The dating one?

Hi all, room for a little'un? I'm currently only 4w4d pregnant (12dp5dt) after our fourth icsi cycle. We had a successful second cycle and have a 19 month old ds from that. I am feeling extremely anxious and worried and just can't relax yet.

I haven't had a chance to read the thread properly yet, but I just thought I'd say hi and will catch up with everyone's stories over the next couple of days x

Verkey81 · 03/04/2015 07:46

Hi Ficidy welcome! Congratulations, I'm also an ICSI cycle ivfer :) and congratulations on your do as well, amazing! How are you feeling? Any sickness, symptoms? It's such a strange feeling getting that box after all of this, I was so stressed, I hope you can relax with this one! X

Hello!

I have just recently finished my first cycle of ICSI and have had a BFP!! I can see it from both sides how people would be disheartened but i also enjoyed reading all the success stories. It helped me to stay positive!

I am 4 weeks pregnant at the moment and i am also constantly worrying and am keen to get to the 12 week stage. I could not believe that the test was positive and ended up doing 5 over 2 days.....Just to be sure (smile)
